My good friend magnetron found a fix:
run the game with the parameters -perf and -windowed, then the game will start up in windowed and work. DO NOT go into fullscreen, then it crashes again. Windowed fullscreen works though.
How to use parameters: create a shortcut and add to the path -perf -windowed

Think about the following scenario:
Person B (evil guy that wants to harm Person A, the victim) orders a small amount of gold on any RMT site and uses Person As (in our case OP) account information, which is publicy available (accountname.1234). Several sources told me that gold sellers don’t verify if the recieving account actually belongs to the person that ordered.
What OP is describing here looks exactly like what I wrote above. Someone is sending his account gold via a RMT seller to get him banned. The support isn’t really helping since their answers are just copy pasta with nearly no reference to the actual case.
If this is the case, we have to think about how to generally deal with the scenario, since everyone could just ban everyone by repeatedly ordering any amount of RMT gold to the target accounts.

Not exactly the same, but the story works for all mods not developed by main devs on video games: KZ maps, Zombie modes in Counter-Strike, Zombie mods for Arma2 which turned into DayZ and the upcoming standalone.. there are loads of examples.:

maybe I don’t get your point, but how is that supposed to be killtrading? Trading/Selling always requires an exchange of values which increases both sides total values because of their different needs.

Well at least everything that makes PvP exciting is involved in tPvP and smallscale wvw: splitsecond heal/stomp interrupts, focus targeting, assisting, safe stomping, actual communication between team members (not just a single badboy shouting commands) and so on – that`s PvP. All that stuff gets lost in GvG, mark the leader.. yay.
If 20% of your GvG team sucks, it won`t make a notable difference, because it`s just four guys out of twenty, it gets lost in numbers. If 20% of any 5 man sucks, it will heavily affect the outcome. Think about it. That`s what makes GvG a joke, same as PvE raiding.
It is just not as demanding and challenging to the individual player skills, more coordination driven, very much like PvE raiding.

Have you ever participated any form of largescale pvp by a proper guild? I guess no.
All the things you mentioned is part of GvG, you may just not see it.
Stomping is one of the most important things in an GvG. Proper guilds usually get their downed up before you can even set a stomp and if you go for it, you can expect a lot of aoes on that position. So you have to decide, do I go for a stomp or not? Can I survive that damage or is it worth to use my [oh-kitten] button to get that stomp through, in case that player doesnt get up before your stomp goes through ofcourse. You have different types of focus targeting. You have the meele ball hitting all the same targets to get the main dps rolling, you have the backline killer trying to focus down single people of the enemy backline, you have coordinated burst strikes combinated with CC to break parts of the enemy groups or force them to use their [oh-kitten] buttons. Only because you can’t see it, doesnt mean it isn’t there.
For the communication aspect: I can only heavily advise you to watch the released voiced GvG footage from Red Guard. I bet your first impression will be like: “wtf, I can’t understand anything at all, so many people shouting over each other”. But if you know what you have to listen to and what not, you can easily see the battle just by hearing it.
and for your number aspect: 20% is 20%. it doesnt matter if the size is 5vs5 or 20vs20. The relative number is the same and heavily influences the groups output regardless of their size.
And again: only because you don’t understand it, doesn’t mean that this is inferior to any other aspect of the game. It only focuses other parts.
We don’t feel like we have the “crown” yet, we still need to GvG GD

just had a look at the Obsidian Sanctum spots. The problem here is that those areas are too small and the ground not even enough. It would be an ultima ratio if there wasn’t the queue problem. To enter Obsidian Sanctum, you need to pass EB which is probably the worst thing during prime time.

All that congrats between RG and MoS is really funny because when they write about tactic and good game, i (and a lot of ppl when we we talk about it) read “good use of culling” and “pointless zerg on small bands” … indeed, great game.
What happen to RG yesterday evening (GMT+1) ? your gameplay was really poor, wipe 2 times in a row and vanished from the map right after, do the patch about culling (less ally, more foes visible) hurts you that much ? … i guess, since that’s the central point of all your “tactics”.
we were really low on numbers yesterday, not more than 20
and yes, the culling patch hurts us really bad; we wern’t able to see our people and only 30 of the enemy people. coordination was nearly not possible
it was no point running with 20 people against a zerg with 50 or more with the new mechanics (we only saw 30, but got hit from “ghosts”, so we guessed it were more).
we also wiped the zerg at some points, but only when we had the surprise effect and enough time to load the zerg properly. on the open field, no chance to win with this mechanic
we made the experience that this really depends on the constellation on the field. while midscale (30vs30) works better than before (faster loading in), large scale(everything above 30vs30) is a single catastrophe.
the loading in times remind me of the first days when we ran through a zerg and didnt even notice it until someone randomly hit the 1 and said “i hit something”. friendly players dont render properly and if they do, they just disappear again the second after, especially with commanders on the field. the new system let their symbol disappear, its still visible on the minimap, but buried under green and blue dots.
when we faced groups with more than 30 players, we only saw 30 players. hey kept constantly despawning and spawning again. the spell effects didnt render properly either. i stood completely outside of the field of battle but got randomly damage by melee and projectiles/fields which didnt render at all (they did in the old system).
tl;dr old system was better, the new system makes a lot of problems which i thought disappeared decades ago and it advantages the bigger groups (should be the other way around, shouldnt it?)
