For WvW I am looking at roaming. small group. I didn’t know there were so many position for WvW. XD now I have to look into each one of them. I only knew Roaming and Zerg I think but I am not 100% sure if I understand each of those positions. I might have to hit Youtube to check what each one does or what their main function is.

Before I continue spending more into the build I wanted to get some opinion on the build. The idea behind was to have something well rounded like decent dps, decent survival ability for PvE and maybe even WvW. However unlike some math guru in here I won’t know what would kill the build or what tweak I need to do in order to make it better. I know that PvE is completely different than WvW and that most people in PvE go full Zerker. I do have a full Zerker armor set including a Sinister set as well. Any advice, tip that you guys can provide to me? Should I continue the Celestial route or would I be better off using one of my other sets. Thanks!

I was trying to obtain higher Power 2k+, Armor 2.8k+ and Healing Power near 1k+ if possible.

I see, Thanks for the info Rangersix. You know what Guardians use these days for WvW/sPvP and PvE if you don’t mind telling me. Thanks. Wondering if I should not role a new class XD. Is costing me way to much to get this Guardian playable and enjoyable so far. Plus prices gone up since path on runes and materials.
Hi guys, I been gone for a while and notice since last patch things has change and I was wondering if Celestial build are not viable for PvE and is it still a WvW/spvp option only.

You know Jerus, this is not the first time I had attemp to run full zerker. However, I did notice I die a lot back then. So, I ended up running back to Celestial. One day I was sitting here killing stuff when I realized that playing Zerker was completely different than playing PvE Celestial. So, I put the gold once more time to attempt to play a Zerker. I did die just as much as I did before until. I started working with timing, dodging, combos etc… and I learn how to keep myself a life more than I have in the past even with Celestial. So, I could say that I am not afraid to role full Zerker and Full Celestial for PvP. Both play completely different but once you learn how Zerker work it is very rewarding.
Now I must say if I plan to take a bunch of hits Celestial still strong than Zerker but if I plan to kill fast. Zerker will beat Celestial anytime. It all comes down to what you plan to do with each set.

I have used in the pass Soldier Runes before with my Celestial armor and was hard to let those go. I never tried Traveler runes. I will need to check on that combination. Thanks!

Ok guys I got Armorsmith to 500 and I have two sets I enjoy playing with Full Zerker and Full Celestial. Now I want to take one of them to full ascended but with the current changes I am not sure which route will be useful for Dungeon, Fractals and Open world PvE. I may do some PvP but is not in my top priority right now.
Any advice would be grateful.
Currently running Zerker gear and Parked my Celestial for WvW/sPvP.
The build is mainly for wvw using GS/S+F, however; I been trying to convert it into PvE GS/S+F, but I feel the stats are just not adding up. Any advice? I should be over 2,800 armor minimum and 2900 Atk minimum.
Hey guys, I wanted to ask someone about some stats for my build. Currently this is what I have.
I have the Advanced Spinal Blades back. I wanted to add the stats that is worth having on a guardian. I own the Celestial Armor Set that is in the build with accesorries plus also have a Zerker Armor set. Now, I perfer the Celestial set it seems work my play style. However if giving to me I put everything Celestial. XD but I know that is not how it works. So my question is. What would be the best stats to have on my back piece that I can jump between Celestial and Zerker armor set?
One more thing, what Accended trinkets is best to grab for this Celestial set? Soldiers? I need to up my Attack and Armor a little more.

Honestly his help, build and support help me not dump my guardian when I was close to for a warrior. At the time I was so frustrated with mine that he gave me a hand, help me build what I enjoy even now. Yes his videos are funny, and he does make the effort to help newbies. I never seen him say No to help anyone unless he was busy in a team pvp match. A lot of people might not agree with his build but he did make Celestial gear work.
Now I am trying Zerker setup and having a hard time finding a build that works for me since I get slam by mobs much easier.
Hey guys, just wanted to see if anyone here can help me with a good PvE only build for Dungeons, Fractals and Open World Clearance.
Issue I am having I have two sets of armor. 1. Full Celestial, 2. Berserker with 3 pieces of Assassins. I also have the following weapons.
GS: Celestial
Hammer: Celestial
Mace: Celestial
Shield: Celestial
Staff: Power, Precision, Critical Damage
GS: Power, Precision, Critical Damage
Sword: Power, Precision, Critical Damage
Focus: Power, Precision, Critical Damage
All Accessories are Berserker with a couple pieces of Ascended Celestial & Cleric Ascended Amulet.
Runes have no idea which one so I run Ruby Orb
Anyways, Thats what I normally carry with me however; Going full Zerker has made it were I get overwhelm by mobs, the dots kill me fast can’t be dodge or avoided. When I am not running Dungeons I am clearing zone with the wife to work on the achievement.
My Choice of weapon has been lately GS/Sword+Focus. However, making a build that allows me to do some damage but take some hits without having me in the group a lot is hard. I also want to help support my wife or team during runs. Is there such build that can balance DPS + Survival + Support out there? Don’t need to be the DPS Meter breaker but don’t want to be the one cleaning the floor a lot. I can dodge but the dots are what gets me easy during multiple mob fights.

On this build I have to change it a bit to fit my Celestial setup.
I been playing with the builds and so far it seems that going 0,30,0,30,10 seems to provide really good survival. What are you take on that setup?

Ok foofad.5162, I will see how far I just don’t want to be the guy that kick out for not supporting. XD however, I feel that fractals seems more of a speed run, puzzle, and how fast you can burn mobs down type of challenge. I will report progress once I start running it.
I am with timidobserver.7925 on this one too. I would like to know if a build can be viable in fractals. I love the burn/dps build tested from here and it seems to work great with my Celestial setup.
Also foofad.5162, I don’t mind changing runes or sigil on gear and weapon but I won’t change y actual armor. It has some condition dmg there is good enough for me. So far your dps build from your guide seems to work well with burning using GS and Mace+Shield. I would like to increase burning though.

Hey SaltyDave.7346, that looks like a pretty solid support build that I might be able to use in Fractals and Dungeon run to support my team. I will also test and tweak it base on what I am looking out of it.
Ic, hmm.. I wanted to setup a burning build seems like I like that kind of style but Guardian seems so weak right now for such build. When I setup a dps burn build I hurt my survival or buff to the team. If I become more of a tank survival helping my team I hurt my overrall dps. =/ There is one build I have that can do dps, have survival and is design more for my build with little burning. However I wanted to increase the condition damage from burn.
Oh well maybe in the near future they will tweak it a bit for us guardian that want to be more on that side of things.
Hey guys, I was wondering is there a build that is tanky that provide high survival but in return using a mace+shield will cause burning as the main damage in return? My idea is to come up with a build that help deal with trash mobs, farming, dungeon run and help my teammates with maybe boon, buff or revival etc… It doesn’t have to be a top dpser just curious if there is such a build? Thanks!
Primary gear is all Celestial though including weapons.
I wanted to put my two cents to this. I had recently finish making my Celestial gear which takes 30 days to make. Including weapons. Now I am a Armorsmith and Weaponsmith. I was Cleric for a while but wanted a different play style. So I use many different sets, builds, weapons combo etkittenil I landed Celestial which was more of my play style even if others don’t like it.
My main point here is, I would advice you to find your playstyle using exotic gear and weapon combos. Once you are set with something that is your playstyle start thinking about Ascended Armor and Weapon. I have dumped about 40gold to it with lots of mats i have now and still at 461 Armorsmith however I have been building slowly the mats to make any Ascended armor. The reason I took that path over max leveling armorsmith is because even with Exotic Celestial gear and playstyle I am finding that I might not be set on this 100% yet. Before I start building an Ascended gear I have to be 100% ready to stick with it. Like other mention here it is very, very, expensive.
I had a combo set that I ran which was base on Knight and Cleric was amazing until I replace it all with Celestial.
My advice is try to limit your cost with just exotikittenil you find your dream combo of gear, weapon, build etc.. Before investing in Ascended armor. =) I am almost thinking that I would be better of going Legendary before going Ascended armor but I cannot make up my mind yet as to what style I want to focus on.
Good Luck sorry for the long write just helping others from making a mistake were they dump to much gold into something they might not like or want later on. Is hard to make gold in this game unless you put enough game play time.

Nice post OP, I was wondering the same and been learning a lot from the comments of other people in this thread. If the OP don’t mind can someone post a good current " full zerker" build? I want to see how is made and what it takes to have a guardian made correct with such setup. I am a healer / Boon Supporter and always been from the start. However this post, and the word " full zerker " have gotten my attention lately and very curious to know more about it.

Cool Thanks!~ I will play both Thief and Ranger for a good amount of level and see which one feels natural to me. Then I can figure out a build game plan and style to play with her. I don’t mind sharing my loot with her as I do more gear farming stuff. =)
Hey guys I did my post for Ranger/Ranger at the Ranger forum but now I am wondering what you Thief pro have to recommend. The deal here is that I been trying to figure out a good class to join my wife Ranger to really do some serious damage in PvE open world as we level up. I am torn on Ranger or Thief so what are your guys feed back grouping with a Ranger?
Finally what is a good build and weapons for a Thief to have when grouped with a Ranger?

So far I like the way Ranger and Theif play so my final question would be. Which combo provide better support between the two that I can choose to play with the wife Ranger? If a Ranger I will grab a drake for sure. =)
Good point there Kilger, my hands get tired as it is due to working with computer a lot. I think I might try the Thief class then.
Thank you guys, I will give the Engineer a run, I did try Necromancer but for some odd reason not sure if that will work with her Ranger.

So, my wife and I decide to work on some alts and both she and me enjoy so far rangers. Now the question is. What is a good setup for me and her build wise? She want DPS/Crit more than healing. I want to do a build that helps her with the idea of buffing us and our pets with healing ability as well. She enjoy Longbow, I enjoy short or long. She wants to have an axe with warhorn and I don’t mind what I have on my second setup. I am so far testing sword/torch. I have a Bear and she has a cat, I guess that is about it, we quest a lot together so far my ranger is behind levels but I do have xp scrolls to help with that.
Any idea of such combo setup that anyone is willing to share with me?

I am also experiencing the same issue as the OP. Firs time I saw exactly the way the OP is showing with the image. The second time I can’t find the npcs anywhere. I send in a Bug report but who knows when this will be fixed.
