During the last few days I’ve noticed problems with our party. We are all in the same map yet our pictures are dark and we can’t see each other. If I look on the map and see where their blue dot it, it’s not where near where they actually are. In the case today the blue dot was showing she was in a place that she has actually never been to. Once I found her in the map (we were in the fields of ruin) then her picture popped up and her blue dot adjusted to show where she really was. But if she walked a little ways away from me (I could still see her on my screen) Her picture would disappear and I would lose her blue dot. Also it never showed me any of her hearts so I never knew if she was done with one or not. Wanted to add that the first time we noticed it happen, there were 3 of us and we were all in the Caledon Forest.

My first character was a Sylvari and I found the pipe organ spent quite some time figuring out how to open the clam shell! So I’m now on character #2 went back to Caldeon Forest (this is weeks later) and opened the clam shell just to find out the the chest is already opened. Do you only get the chest once per account?
I was just wondering if there would be weekend and holiday events in the future?
Path – Ausra
Party – Level 80 Ranger, Level 70 Necro, Level 63 Guardian, Level 52 Thief, Level 51 Engi.
Time Invested – 2.5 hours
Completed – No
Bug – Once inside the dungeon using Infiltrator’s arrow through the portal takes you into Beetle Tun but you’re still in the dungeon. You can run around Beetle Tun/Queensdale, but there are no people or npc’s
Bug – You can trigger 4 or 5 of the piles of asura junk from the main floor without even going into the basement.
I can see a few problems with the dungeons as a whole. First there are the nice hard core gamers that feel they are too easy and they are being run over and over. Second there is the casual gamer who only gets to play about 2 – 3 hours a night and is so frustrated at them that they never want to try them again.
We managed to complete up to and including Bloody Victoria. The rooms after her on your way to Frost are next to impossible. We tried to go around to the right and fight on the platform behind the large groups but there were 3 riflemen silvers that would kill us in 2 shots. We tried to go left next to the wall but again there were even more silvers and we didn’t even make it into the room. We tried to pull them back into the hallway’s but they never thinned out and it was just slaughter. So my suggestions would be as follows.
- Make the dungeon so that a party of level 45’s or a mixed party (not all level 80 or mostly level 80) can complete it within 2 hours. Give us a chance, It isn’t right that we can only take 2 shots before we are dead. I don’t mind dying once and awhile, and I don’t mind a party wipe every now and then.
- If the party isn’t made up of mostly level 80’s lower the repair cost or allow our armor to not be destroyed each time we die. I spent almost 20 silver last night and didn’t even complete the dungeon.
- Make the dungeon harder based on how many level 80’s there are. But still not impossible. (Remember some of us only get a small amount of time to play each day.)
- If the party is made up of mostly level 80’s then the armor being destroyed/repaired should be fine where it is.
- If the hard core gamer really thinks these are that easy then remove your armor and or play with a weapon set that you’re not comfortable with and go with a group of non hard core gamers. That will make the dungeon much more challenging for you without punishing the rest of us.
Making the dungeons harder for them and then giving them better rewards (because that’s what they want) only makes it more miserable for those of use that would like to complete everything the game as to offer.
Thanks Cyztidy. I’ve run anti-malware and a virus scan and they didn’t pick up anything so I’m guessing that either my computers are clean or they don’t pick up keyloggers. I’ve changed all passwords and things are quiet so I hope they stay that way.
I’m guessing one of my accounts was hacked earlier this morning I have been trying to deny access via the email verification but it says Failure when I click on deny. Does this mean that they also have our email account password and have approved themselves? (I don’t use the same password for anything) As far as I can see they haven’t changed my password. So now I’m really upset because if they get it via a keylogger and I change the password to my email and to my gw2 account then they are going to have both.
Is there anyway of searching for keyloggers before I do anything?
Wombatt, Thanks for the tip. It seems this has changed since the release. I had my bone minions on skill #7 on ground and on skill #8 under water. Every time I went in the water my minions would leave and my skill would reset. I changed them to both 7 and they go in and out of the water now. I also tried to put them back onto skill 8 but now when you go underwater it switchs your #7 and #8 skill and they skill stay with you.
I didn’t want to start a new thread since I’m sure Anet has enough feedback to sort through.
Group: Level 80 Ranger, Level 65 Necro, Level 56 Guardian, Level 45 Engi, Level 54 Thief.
Path: Butler
Rewards – Mostly level 42, I believe there were only 2 chests, and 20 silver
Time – 2 hours
Rewards we received were not worth the trouble of this dungeon
I want to be able to play they way I like. Running in circles, dying over and over, and pulling things until most of them go back just isn’t fun. I spent more money repairing my armor than I made running this dungeon.
shotgun boss – She could 2 shot me. I was the level 65 Necro. I stayed mostly ranged and had almost all of my traits into toughness and vitality. Forget trying to revive your friends, just send them back to the waypoint and tell them to waste a gold fixing their armor since each time your downed something breaks.
The room with the traps was fun, some of my party had trouble getting past them but for the most part it wasn’t too hard.
2nd Boss – Explosive guy – His Aoe is insane. You can dodge some of this attacks but then the whole floor is covered in red circle and you can’t dodge that. We finally got past him by knocking him into a corner and then spacing out around him. If someone was downed then we revived as quickly as we could.
The cave – Ummm yea. That’s a lot of guys, we wiped over and over again, before we got them all killed. We didn’t run away and drag them with us like is suggested above, but maybe I would have actually made money if we had.
Last Boss – Really other than the coins and exp for the dungeon why even fight the last boss? There isn’t a chest or anything, his corpse didn’t even leave me something. But on the other hand this guy was the most fun we had during the whole dungeon. He didn’t wipe our party over and over again, but took awhile to kill.
After asking the rest of the part everyone but the level 80 was wearing minor runes, the level 80 had some minor and some major but his armor wasn’t even level 80. Maybe it would be better with better armor/runes but none of us had the money to buy the pieces and none of us have found anything we could use in WvW, PVE, or the dungeons.
A few things I’ve noticed with minions
- I like to play with a staff but I have to get much closer to my target then I would like with the staff in order to have my minions attack. If I stand a full range of the staff the minions just stand with me.
- The flesh golem has a mind of it’s own. It randomly runs away from me and attacks things that aren’t even near me but won’t attack the things I want them to.
- Minions don’t go underwater with you so you have to keep casting them. They should just go into the water and then back out again.
- Overall compared to the other classes, running minions with a staff or scepter/axe with a focus deals way less damage at the same level.
- To be able to fight solo with minions in an area that is designed for your level, they really need to have more toughness/hp and hit harder.
I understand that by using minions we aren’t putting traits into our power, so in return the minions should pick up the slack so that we can kill more than one foe at a time. Running anything with minions seems to work best when fighting with a group of friends.
A group of us completed this mini dungeon tonight. When we entered the room with Rhendak he was already out and about. After defeating him there was a chest in the room but it said that it was locked and the owner would be back soon. Someone told us to leave that room and the chest should be outside of that room. After going back through the whole thing we were unable to find another chest.
What an awesome jumping puzzle I’ve stumbled upon. I have yet to complete this jumping puzzle, mostly be cause when I move my view parts of the terrain disappear. I’ve attached two photo’s to show what I mean. I’m standing in the same place in both photos, all I did was move my mouse to change my view.
