Thanks for the reply I’m not salty, I just needed a bit of insight on this subject.

I’m also having disconnects after being in game a few minutes.

So as the title suggests some advice is needed due to my computers FPS being very erratic. In some area the FPS is 120 or higher and then in others it tanks to 20-40 FPS. Admittedly some of these areas are zerg fights in WvW, but I recently upgraded to a new PC and it was my understanding that graphics wise GW2 should be more stable over all after this upgrade. These are my Specs:

-Intel Skylake i5-6600k 3.5Ghz Quad
-GTX 970 G1
-16GB Patriot Viper DDr4

So looking at these, could anyone guess what might be lacking or causing my FPS to tank? Also worth noting is that I’m not running an SSD, and that I am running 64-bit Windows and the 64-bit GW2 client.

Thx for the all the advice and discussion guys Luckily I’ll be getting some money soon so I’ll be able to get an entirely new rig with any new hardware I could want.

So I guess in the end I’ll have to get a new CPU :C I was hoping to avoid it, but I guess I’ll be going Intel then. Any suggestions for a beast CPU from Intel?

Most areas, like LA, WvW and events. When I’m just running around with few people around I might get 30-40 if I’m lucky.

And I’m running at medium to low settings i.e. Shadows off, Character Model Limit/Detail low. Shaders and postprocessing on medium and low, and so on.

Hello everyone, I’m making this topic because I’m having issues with GW2 and I can’t figure out why. My PC specs should be beyond what the maximum requirements are, but I’m still getting well below average FPS (usually 30 and below).

My rig has a AMD A10-5800K APU 3.80 GHz, 16 GB RAM and an Gigabyte(ATI) HD 6970 DDR5 2GB GPU. Also 64-bit Windows.

All of this meets the requirements but I always have terrible performance. If anyone could give me any advice (beside buying Intel :p ), it would be greatly appreciated.

I’m also having huge lag spikes this last week. My lag issues had started last Sunday on 07/06/2015 with my usual ping of around 200 spiking up to about 1500 to 3000 with an average of 1000.

When this happens characters start banding all over the place and my skills are delayed or just cast with no animation. I see skill/particle effects randomly appearing all over the terrain. Once the lag spikes start the whole game desyncs or I disconnect.

I’m currently on Seafarer’s Rest (EU).

Can’t enter Deso or SFR bl. I’m also on SFR. We need this to be fixed ASAP.

We’ve also added to this list 1 Warrior capable of playing DPS or worker if needed.

[SW] is a hardcore guild with 5 weekly raids, and looking for GvG’s/Scrimms to test ourselves and improve our players. Our main focus is now being a competitive WvW force on the open field and having a great team synergy. SW is aspired to being the best in our league and we are recruiting like minded players to achieve these goals. In SW we encourage a healthy team spirit and actively strive towards excelling in WvW combat and tactics by constantly training in PvP or WvW scenarios.

Our raid days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. We start our raids at 20:00 CET and end when we feel like we can farm no more.

Our server Aurora Glade finds itself in the ideal position of having low/no queues while still being in a competitive spot in the league to give us great guild vs guild situations against other strong server in mid Gold league and upper Silver League.

Are you looking to join SW? Here are some of the things we expect of our applicants.

-You need a mic for raids.
-You must be able to attend at least 3 raids a week for at least 2 hours.
-Must be able to take constructive criticism within your chosen class from our class leaders.
-You should have at least 800 hours play time on your main class.
-We require 90% representation in WvW.
-Players must be willing to change builds for the sake of the team composition.
-A minimum WvW rank of 500.
-Strictly players over the age of 18.
-A great team player attitude.

Whoo, such epic battles with FR and AM this past week! Thank you guys for providing us with such an epic fight. (P.S. SW likes open field battles too much) But we have had a great matchup. Thank you for all the lootbags and challenging battlefield situations you’ve thrown our way.

The S H O C K Wave [SW] guild wants you!

We are looking for mature active players to help build this guild from the ground up. We currently still have 2 officer positions available to help in our day to day guild running and up keep.

Our guilds focus is in creating a community of active, friendly and mature players to work together in attaining greatness for our server. We wish to become an example for our entire AG server and for the entire EU community at large.

Due to us being recently formed we will start our guild operations small with bi-weekly guild runs which will grow into more numerous and varied events as our numbers grow. At the moment we’ll focus on small scale WvW runs, daily dungeons and plain old PvE fun :P The guild would also like to extend it’s hand to other guilds to form alliances for other events such as guild Rushes, Puzzles and Bounties.

We currently have no member limits or age requirements. All players are welcome from all nations, but we will all speak English to facilitate all players. Our wish is to maintain a form of decorum and standard within our guild which is up holding of all our guilds goals. The guild encourages all members to act mature and be friendly to all our members, and all the members of the AG server.

The requirements of our members are as follows:

1. Be active for at least 4 days a week (inactivity in excess of 2 weeks without notification will get you kicked out)
2. Join us on Teamspeak during guild Missions and WvW runs. It is not required of you to talk, just to listen during coordinated movements.
3. Be willing to join in on guild activities.
4. Be helpful to all members regardless of level or activity.

Officer requirements are basically the same as regular members with just a few added requirements:

1. Have a working knowledge of GW2 and it’s community.
2. Be available for Teamspeak during the guilds peak time activities and operations.
3. Be able to form independent groups and activities within the guild for all available members.

I have been receiving this error since Monday

I’ve also started receiving this error now, and I’ve been playing GW2 since launch. This is a very inconsistent problem due to the fact that at some points I can play for 3 or 4 hours with no issues and the next day I can’t even connect to the game. I’m on the Aurora Glade server.
