Guild Wars 2

So, I really love self torture and gambling, and I’ve decided I want to try and craft Bolt.

Buuuuuuuuuuuuut I don’t have zap yet, and I dont have the IRL or ingame funds to buy the precursor. So I’m going to try and play the Mystic Forge, and if I get any other precursor I’ll probably sell it.

The thing is, I don’t know how it works. Lmao. I’ve only played off-and-on for a year or two, and never bothered to fiddle with it. How do I work the Mystic Forge to have the highest possibility of spitting out a prec?

(Also, I dont have HoT yet. So I can’t just craft it.)

Hi everyone! This is a long shot, but I’d honestly really love someone to gift me HoT if that’s possible. I don’t have any like, awesome story to try and convince you, I just really like the sound of playing with the Daredevil spec on my Thief and the Druid spec on Rangers. They sound hella awesome. Along with guild halls and just…content. I love love love GW2 but I want more content.

Nevermind, lel. Running as admin worked but I’m still running in to the same problem prior to uninstalling the game. My virus protection will pop up when it starts to patch along with the GW2 window saying it can’t be opened, and AVG tells me there’s a Win32/Heri virus or something?

I had to uninstall Guild Wars 2 for a bunch of reasons, all culminating in the fact that I could open the Client and I’d get a popup telling me that it couldn’t be opened right now, and immediately close out. So, I go to reinstall the client so I can redownload the game, but when I click on GW2Client download thing (got it directly from the A-Net site), nothing opens. Nothing appears on task manager as well.

I -did- just empty my Recycling Bin and ran my antivirus if that has anything to do with it.

Yooo, I’m pretty new to the game and I took a break for a few months anyways, and now I’m back (mostly because WoW’s gotten stale for me) and really wanting to practice and learn my thief in both PvP and PvE! While I’ve found a few Pve builds, I’m still kinda stuck on the PvP one. I was thinking of going S/D because that’s what I was prior to leaving, but the game got major overhauled it appears. What’s the meta now? D/P?

You guys probably get a lottttttt of these posts, but I just hit level 80 on my Thief, my first 80, and I’m kinda overwhelmed on what to hit first.

I need to work on crafting, as I haven’t done any at all.
Dry Top? Silverwastes? Dungeons? Fractals? Map Completion?

HI FRIENDS.
So, here’s the deal. I’m getting my first character to 80 soon (He’s at 64 now, precious little baby) and he’s hella cool n stuff, but…

I kinda dont like his face n stuff. I want to get one of those makeover kits, but to just buy them straight from the Gem store would require ~ 1000 gems with the name change as well. So that equates to, like, 175 gold.

I have 19 gold currently.

But, here’s the catch! You can get a makeover kit in a BL Chest, which with RNG accounted, would be cheaper, aside from the name change inclusion, which I can live without for a while.

Do you think RNG would be on my side to get one of those in a chest? I opened 3 today and none of them had one. Should I just save up gold to go to gems to straight-up buy the Identity Repair Kit? How fast does gold come in at level 80?

I’m level 7 now, but I could’ve sworn last time I played at level 3 or so I’d get a letter telling me to meet someone in the city.

Hello friends! I’m coming back after a while of playing WoW, and while I still love WoW a lot, it’s gotten kinda stale for me aside from raiding 2 times a week. Plus, the art in this game is just striking, and I really liked it for the short while I played.

I’m looking to get into PvE, even though the highest I got was level…20 or so? I know nothing about this game really. Crafting is confusing, builds are confusing…so my question is

What class do you suggest for players experienced with MMORPGS but not with the way this specific game works to learn the inner workings?

I was looking at either Thief or Mesmer tbh. Is there anything that’s not really viable rn either tho?

I’m new to this whole GW2 scene. I finish the download from my two CDs and made my account in the meantime. I registered my serial code and went to log in on the client thingy, but it tells me that my log in failed. Password or Email is wrong.

I never got an authentication email, and I honestly don’t know what to do. The play button is grey and I can’t log in on the launcher.
