2 Simple Questions: Movable Skills & Linux

Hi everyone. I’ve just read the news about GW2 free acounts and this GW2:HoT expansion, and I want to ask about the expansion.

1. Full movable skills in skill-bar is implemented in this HoT expansion? (With “full movable skills in skill-bar” I mean that you can “grab and drop” any skill you like to change its position in the skill bar… like in WoW).

2. Is the expansion available for Linux? (I really don’t think so, but here goes nothing).

If any of the 2 questions is positive, I’d be thinking of buying it.

P.S. I bought GW2 long time ago, but I stop playing because the game didn’t have any of my previous concerns.

Cheers!

2 Questions: Move Icons & Linux

Time ago, I tried to play through PlayOnLinux from Ubuntu, but it’s certainly not meant to be since I played with so low FPS.

Around the media, I’ve read that GW runs slow under Linux since it doesn’t use all the kernels, just one.

Now I only use Linux and not Window$ anymore (even when I have dual-boot but only for some “emergency”… haven’t had any for several months now, though).

Well, I guess I’ll back to play WoW since even when it’s not for Linux either at least I have no problems running it through Wine (plus, WoW lets me to move my spells to wherever I want XD).

Best regards.

Well, since nobody answers 2 very simple questions, I assume that both answers are “no”.
Tyvm for your time.

@Ambika: Agree with you.

Hi everyone. Long time no see

As the title says, I have only 2 questions that I hope you can help me:

1. Right now, can I move the icons of my spell bar as I want like in WoW when you shift + click to move a spell wherever you want?
That’s the MAIN reason I stopped playing the game, since I used to waste time trying to remember the ubication of my spells, plus I never liked that no-freedom of choice.

2. Any plan to support Linux? (I don’t think so, but I have nothing to lose in asking XD)

That would be. Thank you very much in advance.

A client for Linux

I totally agree with this post.
Now I almost never use Window$ anymore and I want to properly play GW2 again.
IMHO, nowadays, Linux Client is a “must have” if any company wants to be considered as 100% “Professional” specially when we’re talking about big ones (Again… IMHO).

I don’t understand why no one comments about it when it’s something so useful.

As an additional suggestion: It would be great too that if each char in the same account can have their own saved keybindings.

id like to see…
1 – spell effects filters example – show mine only/show group only/show all
if not filters then a way to adjust the spell effect separately

2- make story rewards scale to you actual level not your adjusted level.

3- the ability to reposition all skills on the hotbar to my liking.

4- allow us to set status to invisible by default.. or invisible to all not onf riedns list or in guild.
thanks

The bolded one is the one I beg for its implementation.

Re-arrange skills in skill bar

How the tittle says, please let us re-arrange our skills in the skill-bar as we want, since that would improve a lot our gameplay.
That’s so far, the only nuisance or disadvantage I’ve found in this game, so I really hope you can grant us that “freedom”, because imo it’s a real basic feature

Cheers!
