This keeps happening when I try to teleport into Queensdale. It crashes the client. The game also takes the teleportation cost, even though it dumps me back at where I was, previous to the teleport, upon logging back in. This really hurts the playability of the game, as teleporting anywhere is going to be a constant risk of the loss of gold, as well as a client crash.
I just want to know where the story content is. Flame and Frost had a boatload of great story instances. Rox’s and Braham’s content was fun and interesting. However, those types of story instances seem to have petered out in favor of “kill x of y” or “go do x thing y times.” It’s very similar to WoW holidays, and that became old a very long time ago.
When I first logged in for the Jubilee, I was so happy to see Rox and Braham. I thought I was going to have plenty of fun story breadcrumbs to follow, similar to Flame and Frost. However, it seems like that little event is all there is! Nothing else. I haven’t even seen any information on if/when more story content for this LS is going to happen. This makes me want to ignore the rest of the event, as there is nothing to keep me interested. A dinky minipet (especially when the minipet system is done poorly) is not enough to keep me logged in and doing “x of y” achievements.
tl;dr Please make the Living Story content true to its name again. It is supposed to be Living STORY. Bring more of the story content back!
It’s happening with a lot of things. Not just levelling up, it’s appeared after I’ve killed a couple of enemies..
Yep. I’ve yet to be able to narrow down what is causing it for myself, but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t just leveling. It was happening too frequently for that.
Noticing the same issue on Crystal Desert. It isn’t possible to interact with most of the ones I’ve come across.
Apparently, its already in the game files, so its coming soon!
Oh, thank GOD. I was about to just give up on ever being able to form groups easily for all the story content I have to do (especially Arah, for the Personal Story). I read somewhere on the forums that they were never going to add it, so I figured it was off to FFXIV with me. Very happy that this is on its way!
Thanks, ANet! ^.^;
Update on this issue:
After the final update to Last Stand at Southsun, my mouse programming began working again. However, after today’s updates for Dragon Bash, they are once again no longer functional.
I am confused as to what would cause this, especially since it occurs immediately after updates, and is an on-again-off-again problem. If someone from Arenanet could kindly offer up some information, it would be genuinely appreciated.
Hello,
I am using a Steelseries World of Warcraft MMO Gaming Mouse: Legendary Edition. I have always had some trouble programming the mouse to work with GW2, but if I would set a button on the mouse to mimic a key press two or three times in rapid succession, it would usually activate in the game. I never programmed it to do anything remotely complex; just to open the inventory, autorun, weapon swap, etc. Ever since the GW2 patch today, the mouse programming no longer works at all.
Was something changed within the game that would cause this to happen? If I buy a new programmable mouse, will I have the same trouble with it?
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
The impression I get is that Trahearne is respected due to the great deal of knowledge he has in regard to dealing with the undead. Because cleansing Orr is his Wyld Hunt, he was driven to research the subject as extensively as possible, making him the foremost authority in all of Tyria. In his travels, I imagine that he came into contact with a great many individuals, including Sayeh. I don’t think her entire race was introduced purely for his benefit, as I stumbled across other largos while exploring. Since I had already found them, it didn’t seem too out of the blue, as compared to what else I’ve been used to in RPG stories.
It’s true that the writing may not be perfect, but I think it’s fairly good for a MMO. The issue seems to be that a character like Trahearne would require so much time to adequately flesh out that doing so would cause the PS would drag on even longer than it already does.
As for why people follow him without fighting among each other, I also imagine that the prospect of facing total annihilation has something to do with it. Trahearne, knowing what he does, is honestly the most likely character for them to follow. He has the fewest outside allegiances, is the most knowledgeable, and has dedicated his entire life to cleansing Zhaitan’s corruption. In this instance, he is the most trustworthy.
Also, in regard to the mission that involves the Eye, Trahearne only has so much to do with that. Professor Gorr is the one who actually invented the technology that makes it possible.
I found this thread after running a Google search, as I ran into this very problem after leveling my cooking from 1-400 on my Ranger and having a crapton of food that needed selling. I agree, all this does is hurt the player, especially since we have -no- freaking clue -why- it is happening. Besides, I found that exiting and re-opening the TP window allows you to sell one more thing (which can be repeated ad nauseum), so it’s a huge hassle for actual human players, but nothing more than an extra line of code for a botter and his program.
