If limited by the weapons that are currently in game I’d want a shortbow(1200 range), offhand sword(very offensive single target spells), warhorn ( fury buff since we have almost non and a symbol), mainhand axe and of course some fist weapons.

Right now the ascended rings/back pieces don’t have all of the stat combinations. I don’t know all of which are missing (someone can post if they made a list), for example I notice there are no knight’s and cleric’s combinations in neither ring or back items.

My suggestion is to add all of them at least trough the recipe ( Gift + Capacitor + Vial + Crystals/Stones ) as far as back items are concerned. And add the other ring combinations in the patch where some new type of ascended items are released.

Now, he other problem with rings is the RNG. So far I did 10+ dailies and got 5 rings(I’m aware that some people didn’t even get that much!) and from those 5 non had a stat combination which I could really use.
I doubt that the whole system of getting rings from dailies will change, so at least give us a bigger chance of getting one. Make them drop from mobs and chests in FotM(a small chance). Also a Mystic forge recipe could be added :
Ascended ring + Ascended ring + 10 crystals(phillosopher stones) + 100 fractals
The numbers and the recipe itself could use some modifications, this was just the first thing that came to my mind. The recipe would always give a different ring the the 2 used and depending on which ones were used stones or crystals it would give a ring with an offensive or defensive infusion slot.

as long as 250 ecto’s aren’t part of the recipe…

^ and 250 t6 mats are not a part of it. Actually I don’t mind both being a part of it, but as with back pieces make an alternative recipe where we don’t use those two things.

I think the difference is in the stats of the infusion. There is Vital infusion and it goes into defensive slots. While there is Precise infusion and it goes in offensive infusion slots.

Same issue at Blacktide. But I’ve been to a couple of boarderlands and got the keys but I couldn’t enter while the people from other servers on the same boarderland could.

Just because you compared it to Arah( where I’ve done only one path) I’ll call this trolling . And the dungeon is beatable at level 35. I’ve done all 3 ways in the 35-40 level range with randoms. It took 2-3 hrs per path the first time around but once you learn the mechanics it becomes much easier. And at level 80 full exotic gear 2 people can alone beat the 1st path.

I’d like to see it changed to a symbol as well. Despite me hating symbols at first I started to love them. Would also like to see a off hand with symbols in the future. And the scepter really does need some improving on it’s first 2 abilities. Smite could become a symbol but it really doesn’t need a change that bad since it’s not the biggest of our problems. Orb of wrath is just ridiculously slow. It could be changed to a beam like projectile finisher(20%).

I only agree with OP on the part about projectiles. If you remember WW used to be stationary and I find it fine right now. I would replace the projectiles with pulses so we still have some aoe. I think projectiles are around 1200 or 900 range and they are annoying when they hit a random mob which you didn’t want it to hit. So make the pulses 600 and cut down the damage compared to projectiles by ~20%(maybe even more it should be tested a bit). Now the only thing that I’d like to see is reduce the time we spin by ~20% to increase the burst and leaving less time to dodge or just walk out.

The only main-hand weapon we have that doesn’t generate a symbol is the sword, though. The mace, hammer, and greatsword all generate symbols so unless both your weapon sets have swords for some reason, you have access to a symbol at every turn. Not to mention that synergizes with some of the other trait lines that create symbols on you in certain conditions.

What about the scepter ? I’ve seen a lot of people running around with scepter/shield and sword/focus(torch). And if they go in that line for spirit weapons it’s a waste. I know it’s not that common but still the problem exists.

I agree that some of the traits mentioned here are close to useless (Protector’s Impact(while not really useless I don’t see it’s useful while fighting, except when you jump of cliffs in WvW and others don’t have the trait ^^), Strength of the Fallen, Unscathed Contender, Revenge of the Fallen). And some need improving and or combining with other traits :

  • Spirit Weapon Mastery and Improved Spirit Weapon Duration could be combined and put together in the Zeal line.
  • Zealous blade and Greatsword power combined. Or make greatsword power stronger by either increasing the damage to 10% or adding another effect like increasing the range of greatsword abilities by 20%.
  • Combining Writ of Persistence and Writ of Exaltation.
  • I was also thinking about combining some of the meditation traits, but I don’t have a good idea which ones.
  • There should be a rework in the Zeal minor traits. Since when you go that trait line it’s a real waste if you don’t use weapons with symbols. The traits should be of some help regardless of what weapons you choose. The first trait can stay but the other 2 can be combined and move in to the adept part of Zeal.
  • There are the traits that give 5% to scepter/sword/mace or 20%/15% cd reduction to offhand weapons. I’d like to see improvement with all of them as there was with the shield trait. Torch can get 15% cd reduction and +10-15% burning duration from all sources. Focus can get 20% cd reduction and an extra block/bounce on the skills. No good ideas on the main hand weapons yet.
  • Also there are no hammer improvement traits right now.

There are probably some traits that I didn’t cover that could use a change but only these ones came to mind. I’d love to see more changes to traits on all classes not just guardian. Right now traits just don’t give as much customisation as I’d like them to give.

On swap sigils and Protector's strike

I haven’t tested it in detail but from what I saw non of the on swap sigils work together. Only one of them proc and I’m not sure if that is intended or not.
And the Protector’s strike on guardian sometimes doesn’t block anything. The skill keeps channeling while I keep getting hit.
