Well, I see some issue on your video, like killing 3 time the golem in engineer in 30s flat and you typing number that in addition are close to 37 seconds…
Video are fine if you are not partial. Engi first kill is at 7s (not 10 or so), 2nd at 16s (9s later) and third at 30s (14s later due to a lack of self might generation). A banner warrior DPS test is meant to be done with banner out… Well, that’s some things that hurt when seen on a comparative dps video.
I you watch the video you’ll notice that not all of the fights, the engineer for example, start with the golem at 100% HP. For the engineer video the golem starts at about 55% HP and the timer is correctly counted from 55% HP until 55% HP on the “2nd” golem, in other words 100% total HP.
Seriously, I have no idea how the current iteration of the map closing mechanics ever made it off the drawing table, it’s such a terrible system and a major issue especially in the new HoT maps with their zone-wide meta events.
For people who are unaware of the mechanics: If an instance of a map falls under a specific population threshold, a timer starts which will the close the map instance after 1 hour REGARDLESS of how many people join the map after this threshold has been reached once.
This mechanic of not “updating” the map with the current population is simply put, catastrophic especially in Tangled Depths, which has a long period of downtime between the outpost events and the Chak Gerant event, meaning lots of people leave & join during that downtime and people joining it have no idea if the threshold has been reached earlier at some point because there will be few, if any, people left on the map who have been there from the start.
Tonight was the 5th time since HoT launch that a map has closed on me, my party, and everyone else on the map right in the middle of a meta boss fight, with the map instance at the population cap. 3 times it has happened in Tangled Depths in the middle of the Chak Gerant fight, 1 time in Verdant Brink just as night started with lots of people and commanders on the map, and 1 time in Dragon’s Stand during the 3 bosses fight, again in a map filled to the brim with people.
This NEEDS to be changed.

Same problem here, EU – Finland.
I’ve tried everything that’s been posted so far: different VPN, a whole bunch of different asset servers, deleted local.dat and files in bin folder – did a repair. Nothing has worked.
