Just my 2 cents.
I’m wondering why you don’t invite all players from the main pvp teams on both EU and NA. Considering you’re advertising Stronghold and the Revenant so much, it’d be smart to give players that fuel the scene the opportunity to test and learn the map and class BEFORE big tournaments instead of having to learn on the fly, or worse, have some teams have access and others not… That’s how any company would do if they were wanting a healthy scene with teams that actually have game knowledge and legitimacy, not just 5 people that like playing together and have a lot of free time.
And yea, I’m pretty kittened not being considered “loyal enough” or not “elligible enough” or whatever.
Man, think about it. What about teams that are just below the level of the top ones, and could possibly compete with the best ones and take their place soon BUT due to the update will be wrecked as all their “higher” opponents were introduced do the new update long time ago. If you’ll let that team in then there will be another one just below the level… No, it’s a terrible idea.
I agree that random selection of members of one team and not another isn’t good too tho.
I’m sick of this, another 1.5 hour of organisation and struggling with triple trouble world event and again I don’t get my bonus chest for completing the event. I only receive the big, static chest near the waypoint.
Is arena-net every going to address it? That’s whole lot of loot that I earned but didn’t receive, and I know that many people are complaining about it for a long time.
Arenanet, please, do something about it! I’m left with thousands of useless junk… I really, REALLY can’t understand why you did this, if camps are left then why remove some of the merchants? WHY???
Thanks ArenaNet! It makes perfect logic to remove those vendors even if rest of camp is still intact. Now I’m left with thousands of useless stuff. No, I’m not visiting forums frequently.
Thanks again <3
So how do we all rate the end of LS season 1
in Battle for Lion’s Arch - Aftermath

The ending was almost PERFECT. For me it was really emotional with wonderous music and dialogues (+ Scarlet’s monologue during Hologram fight), the only thing that I’m totaly upset about – but I know it had to be this way- is that Scarlet is no more.
Against opinions of most people here I think she was great and interesting character. It was really hard for me to kill her, I still can’t believe she is gone forever.
The only thing that I would change is the escape after Scarlet’s death. What about collapsing parts of The Breachmaker over which we have to jump quickly in order to get out alive?
I see your point and absolutely agree with you, I play since beta almost only as warrior and only recently when I started mesmer and necro I discovered that there is so much more field for improving my skills than there ever was when I played warrior.
Generally speaking it is alright nerf, but I dislike bull’s charge change. The skill is easily dodgable right now, and soon there will be even less reason for struggling to place it correctly.
What the heck? I play a lot solo WvW, I just like it, and I don’t think it’s coincidence that like 50% of players roll with either thief or elementalist – they are just too op when roaming.
1. Thief (WvW)
2. Elementalist (WvW)
3. Engineer (PvP)
While I understand homosexual relationship of Caithe (as she is Sylvari), I just can’t stand what Arenanet has done to Marjory and Kasmeer. They seemed to me to be the best friend and companions… Adding sexual flavor to them ruined everything, sorry I can’t explain it more clearly but I feel so disappointed that I stopped liking both of this characters. Arenanet, I sincerely beg you, stop your peculiarity. Really, please.
There are literally dozens of topics concerning the issue, and there is still no answer from ANet whatsoever. I’m really curious why the game that shines in terms of interactions with other players didn’t develop such simple and effective method to make leveling alt much much more enjoyable.
Loved the puzzle part! Devs should definitely add more such parts, jumping puzzles are already amazing and people enjoy them.
What is more choices in future story expansions should be based on the same idea – violent or more stealthy option.
I didn’t read whole thread but there is actually an issue with Confusion. Someone replied that it is just a comeback of Empathy/Backfire of GW1. I agree, but on the other hand now in GW2 we have some mechanics that didn’t exist back then.
The one that creates issue is presence of multiple-hit skills like Volley or 100 blades. Some clases doesn’t use such skills and some rely on them as a main source of damage. In this case confusion may inflict ridiculously high damage over tiny period of time, and this should be balanced – for example by limiting maximum number of hits of confusion per used (by victim) skill to 2.
Some Players don´t play the Ele now.
ArenaNet MUST change it. Or change Warrior #5 40seconds cooldown.
Than Ranger #3 40 seconds cooldown. This nerf destroys the fun of Elementalist and the gameplay.
But ArenaNet..great Job..NOT.
You’re kidding me right? Warrior’s #5 is vulnerable to any slows and it misses or bugs all the time but still you think that RTL with the same cooldown (and no bugs) when used offensively is underpowered?
Sirendor please, maybe you’ve missed the topic – It is mostly about making warrior more FUN. Previously mentioned healing trait – yes it would increase warrior’s healing capabilities but in price of utility or offensive trait. Concluding warrior could be a little bit more versatile and this would contribute to greater ‘fun’.
The same applies to some suggestions like balancing currently unused weapons or expanding the idea of adrenaline.
Most warriors use GS, also quite a lot wield axe and only some use rifle but that’s actually everything you can see in PvE nowadays, isn’t it a big issue that nobody really cares about? It’s quite obvious that some weapons are theoritically designed for pvp but as a matter of fact they aren’t used here either. Before Anet will take care of mechanics like traits and adrenaline it should balance weapons first.
I’m really surprised to see warriors using rifle. It is such a weak ranged weapon compared with other classes ranged weapons/abilities. They also get destroyed by good melee warriors/thieves who have good mobility.
It can be used as a 3rd or 4th weapon set as suggested like the eles and for one of the posters: >2 weapon sets are NOT unique to a certain class. Eles and engys BOTH have it. Hey if you wanna be unique and kitten then whatever floats your boat. The rest of us want the class fixed.
Strenght of Rifle lies mostly in conditions, but yes it isn’t very viable for PvP with all these condition removers. Still, it’s not bad in PvE if you have to kite a lot, it’s much better than even more underpowered longbow.
I always wanted to see a better and more noticeable day/night cycle in the game. Imagine WvW fights in the dark during night time, with random lanterns scattered throughout the maps, more dense around the buildings and supply camps, providing light to the players. I am not speaking of a pitch dark environment of course that could possibly cause discomfort in WvW battles. Just something more atmospheric
.
Agreed, night in most areas is hardly noticable as ambient light is just too bright. It should be darker.
Come on ANet, you did it really well with GW1, you CAN do the same with GW2.

I made this some weeks ago. It’s yours to ponder.
I also had an idea for stances. I feel that stances as they are now are very shallow and predictable. It’d be nice if they were passive channels that were part of a two-part skill chain. By “passive channel,” I mean to say that I feel that stances should be personal, unstrippable boons that pulse the warrior with effects each second. In the case of [Balanced Stance], this means that instead of the Warrior simply getting 8 seconds of stability, the Warrior would instead receive 1 second of stability, every second, for 8 seconds.
Furthermore, to cover the chain-skill aspect of a stance, we can refer back to [Balanced Stance]. I thought that the chain skill could be something like a small heal and condition removal. However, activating the chain skill would instantly cancel the effects of the stance early, so a player would have room to play around with that. I figured that Frenzy’s chain skill could be a leap and I didn’t get around to jotting down other ideas.
I love this idea, Warriors should have their F2 and F3 skills, and ‘Adrenaline Rush’ sounds really exciting as current traits (%dmg and crit chance) discourage you to use your adrenaline. I also agree with F2 and F3 being some kind of movement skills – warriors should be the aggresive and offensive soldier class chasing it’s target, whereas Guardians should be (and they actually are) more defense-oriented and ‘stay their ground’.
Also GS skill 5 must be revamped, it’s unbelievable that warriors must count on their luck if they hit that nice damage or just miss and waste some precious time just due to this bug.
What is more some weapons should be buffed or remade – for example warhorn – currently only use for this weapon is a movement speed buff. What about some kind of debuff that would amplify your dmg dealt to a target for a moment, and second skill granting you and your allies regen and protection. Such set would be handy in both PvE (Veterans, Champions, hard dungeon mobs) and PvP – both solo and with group (general support, taking down certain target with larger burst).
Next weapon – mace. Really, what is the use of this weapon in mainhand? It’s just a weaker version of hammer with very low dmg output and too long cooldowns.
And my last suggestion – some of utility skills should be changed, berserker stance is quite useless (my solution – remove adrenaline gain, add swiftness and unblockable attacks for 8 sec), kick should be buffed to make it viable, stomp cd reduced and banners range increased.
Last but not least elite “Rampage” cd should be decreased and duration of transform increased.
Hello, sorry for digging (I don’t see any point of creating new topic), but I think that old login screen should return. I can’t believe there would be a lot of work with reintroducing it to the game. Please ANet, take that hint, when I first launched GW2, before first PBE I was absolutely amused with that great, yet simple looping animation.
Also swapping accounts would get much easier.
