As someone with a disability… I think it’s hilarious. How is it offensive? It’s something an Asura would say. It’s not aimed at disabled people. Deleting a character over it is a bit of an overreaction, too – why not change the gender if it bothered you so much? I don’t think male Asura have that line.

lol Sylvari favoritism. How dare they add a Legend relevant to the Sylvari in an expansion that deals with the dragon that they come from! Just blatant favoritism!
Humans kinda had an entire game centering on them from what I know of GW1’s plot(s)… another race sorta gets an expansion (an expansion that seems to be filled with NPCs who hate them and want to kill them) and a couple important characters and oh god noooo why ArenaNet why do you love the plant people so much! /s
For those of us who ACTUALLY LIKE sylvari (yeah, we do exist) Ventari is a nice addition.

@that Factions trailer video: holy wow. Looks like I might drop Mallyx for Shiro. Flashy dual-wield sword attacks yes pls.

I kind of expected Glint, but Ventari was a pleasant surprise. I don’t care either way about Shiro because I still haven’t played GW1, but from the comments it seems he was pretty awesome?
Anyway, I’m looking forward to a sylvari Revenant using Ventari and probably Mallyx, or whatever other legend that is the WvW Rev meta. Hoping that Ventari is very support-focused, like a Guardian. Maybe with some multi-target vine CC.

Necro, always Necro. Warriors are just boring and everyone and their dog plays one. Necromancers get awesome staff skins, the theme of the class is cool (undead, poison clouds, minions, dark magic) and trolling entire zergs in WvW/EotM with fear is hilarious. It’s pretty amazing for farming, too. And imo light armor looks so much better than heavy, and has much more variety.

It’d be nice if they could release new skins as an armor and an outfit, though some outfits look like they just wouldn’t work as armors. (Like the Arcane one, and the Crystal Nomad one.)
I at least want them to do this if they put Melandru’s ‘armor’ into the gem store. That’d go perfectly with some sylvari Cultural stuff, and I can’t mix-n-match if it’s an outfit! (sylvari are in dire need of more planty sets anyway)

I don’t see how an internment camp immediately makes the story grey. If anything, it’d just make me roll my eyes. Why do we need to bring in such specific terrible things that happened irl into a video game story to make it ‘grey’? Why do they even need to be locked up? I don’t recall anyone locking humans, asura, charr, and norn up to make sure they don’t die and become horror movie zombies. And nobody prevents people from going to the Brand and becoming purple crystal monsters.
People in-universe hating and wanting to kill sylvari will probably happen (even though they themselves were subject to possible Dragon Minion-dom…), so we have racism. We could hear of (and maybe encounter) Inquest doing Inquest things.
Besides, wouldn’t keeping all of the weak-minded sylvari in the Grove, next to mommy tree, be a much better idea?

I’ve dodge rolled off one of the mushrooms/leaves in the Dark Reverie jumping puzzle.

I was sooo close to the end… Had to re-do Morgan’s Spiral and 90% of Reverie.

That puzzle is evil.

When you’re walking around the Grove to get map complete and walk in on roleplayers in a secret area.
And you sit there for a good 5 seconds before you realize they’re there.

whoops. My poor embarrassed mesmer….
(Those secret Grove areas are evil. You never know if there are people in there until you pretty much step on them!)

I managed to get my lv 29 Guardian to lv 41 and my lv 46 Ranger to 57 (highest lvl char yet! Too bad I hate the class). Also got a Necro from 1 to 15.

So I didn’t do much leveling compared to a lot of people since I don’t have any clue what the fastest way to lv is. I just farmed the Harathi Hinterlands Centaur murderfest event with a killstreak and reg. exp booster on my Ranger, and finished Hearts on my others.

I hope they do this again, I want to level a Thief but hate doing all the Hearts and exploration.

I’m leveling the normal way mostly. Saving up about 10-20 Tomes if the leveling gets really boring, but I want to actually know what I’m doing when I hit 80 (probably still won’t have a clue but at least I tried lol) so no level spam for me.
Revenant is going to be my new main anyway so I want a fun experience leveling it up.

Humans are boring and Asura are freaky looking. Charr is taken by the Guardian and Norn is taken by the Warrior so I’ll go Sylvari.
Hopefully they release an awesome Heavy skin before the expansion hits because Heavy stuff looks bad on female Sylvari…
