Again, only “open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States (including District of Columbia), Canada (excluding Quebec), Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary,
Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom, who are at least eighteen (18) years or age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence, whichever is older, at the time of entry. Void in Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and other U.S. territories and possessions, Quebec and any jurisdiction not listed above and
where prohibited by law.”

Just wondering, may i know the restrictions or prohibitions on other countries that are not listed but have active GW2 players?

I have been looking forward to Player housing years ago but it seems nothing is done towards it (since Arenanet is silent on this matter). Sharing what i posted in [Suggestions] Gemstore Items – https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Suggestions-Gemstore-Items/page/85#post6365999

[Suggestions] Gemstore Items

I read it somewhere but have not really gone through the 85 pages so here is my Gemstore Items Proposal:

Housing Instance (### Gems)
- Ability to purchase a house in PvE or cities (i.e., Divinity’s Reach).
- Design, basic and simple core house.
To make it doable for a start…that is if Arenanet is counting if this endeavor is profitable against the time spent of their developer, start with a small house instance, 1 floor (i.e., pad). Programming should be easy since it is just a matter of adding entry points scattered through out the PvE and cities. Since the housing instance, for a start, is just one floor and is the same size whichever house in PvE one choose, coding is easy. Floor area can be just as big as the inside of the tavern in Guild Hall but bare and with windows and door (access).

Housing interiors (### Gems)
- Ability to choose a different interior (i.e., human home, asuran lab, sylvari lair, norn hearth, charr workshop)
- Ability to choose a bigger floor area .
This can be phase 2 if Arenanet thinks Housing is gaining market demand. (Verifiable indicator: items purchased in Gem store).

House items (## Gems, drops)
- Can be functional or just aesthetics.
- Functional (## Gems)(i.e., bank, wardrobe, armory, showcase of collections and achievements, waypoint)
- Aesthetics (#Gems, drops).
To make it doable for a start, start with the functional and aesthetics (bundled theme) item that are Gems items. Use existing codes (i.e.,looks/aesthetics: use existing items, functionalities: use existing codes to call out specific window instance (like bank, wardrobe, waypoint to home) to minimize coding and maximize return of time-spent of programmers/developers on this endeavor.
Phase 2 can be items that showcase collections, achievements, etc.

For those who are not interested in housing instance, this proposal should not bother you since this is a Gem item (i.e., you are not oblige to pay for it) and this endeavor can generate income and return time-spent of developers.

did you record it and review the recorded video frame by frame to look for the damage? that’s what i would have done to verify it.

I used the combat log to check and verify.

With the recent (June 14, 2016) update and making this sigil available in WvW, is it already working or is it due to be nerf or removed – given the silence (none reply) from this query?

wow, i missed this post. for some reason, searching “Superior Sigil of Draining” using the above tool won’t bring you to this post.

i noticed that it is not working still (and the post above is 4 months ago). i have been testing and checking my damage and healing log but, sadly, nothing. i already send a bug report before i saw this post. hope it gets fixed soon – or i just wasted my time on TD trying to get that sigil for nothing.

I haven’t read the other 70 pages but i have been hoping to see a cane skin scepter – like in GW1.

Also, is it possible to implement the heroes/henchmen mechanics (similar to GW1) for instance-based parts of the game (i.e., dungeon, raid)? with heroes/henchmen gem items maybe?

I was about to reply on a post that got lost somewhere or was merged to this thread (???)…

I think it is not being angry but being afraid of the possible outcomes – that is, not getting what we have paid for in the long run. Yes, we paid for the game – not just for the design, the concept, and the content – but also for the quality access to it. Making the design, concept, and content for free is one thing but providing quality access of these things with limited server/s and resources is another thing. It is like giving cars to every one without realizing that the roads constructed is limited, thus traffic is inevitable (and sometimes to the point that it is better to walk).

With this F2P being implemented, someone somewhere will definitely carry the burden – that is lose something in exchange of someone somewhere getting free resources.

How would you feel getting all the lag and not being able to play like before simply because someone closer to the server got free access for something you have paid for in the first place?

Best example is now, i am still downloading at 1-8kb/s with consistent but intermittent disconnections – and it is hard to say that the F2P which was just launch today has nothing to do with it.

GW1 now, unlike before, lags so much. That is even when doing personal instance HM story missions. Making it F2P will just spread the limited available resources to the point that it will not be playable.

I truly hope ArenaNet have enough resources to implement F2P such that we, those who paid for the game, will not experience lag and deteriorating experience with the anticipated influx of F2P players. F2P is a good ways to invite and entice new players, however, i hope it is not at the expense of us, existing loyal players who remain to love and be in love with the game.

Elite Specialization - my thoughts.

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Compass.9621

Been browsing over the forum and i couldn’t find (or i must have missed) a topic on Elite Specialization, thus i created one.

As introduced earlier, “These are the brand-new level-80 specializations that.. …introduce new weapons, mechanics, skills, and traits to existing professions in Heart of Thorns”. In short, it provides players a new way of doing things.

I haven’t realized the extent of the new things until i started playing it during the beta weekend. And i am both excited and disappointed.

For the elite of elementalistthe tempest – and that of the necromancerthe reaper, i am truly delighted as to how it was conceptualized, designed, and implemented. It truly showed an elite class for both professions – be it the new skills, the improved profession mechanics, and the effects and animation. I found that its name (i.e., tempest, reaper) live up to what it can do and show.

For the elite of mesmerthe chronomancer, i feel short changed. while the idea or concept is nice. i think, it seems to be not as elite as the earlier professions i mentioned above. i guess there is this challenge on how to manipulate time and space but not making the profession too powerful against the rest. but then again, there is this other side of the coin – that is unintentionally reducing the mesmer’s elite potential into making the elite class just another trait of choice.

For the elite of guardianthe dragonhunter, i felt lost. While the new profession mechanics, specially the “wings” effect, seems to be fitting and timely for its elite class; the bow, the traps, and the name makes me think “what the hell am i doing?, am i a ranger now?”. maybe I was hoping the guardian’s elite will enable guardians to be better in what they do – just as how the tempest and the reaper gave justice to the elite class of their respective professions – instead of turning it into a ranger with wings.

Experiencing the elite classes during the beta weekend, i fear that the ranger’s elite class will again be a disappointment – that is turning the ranger into something different instead of making it into a better ranger.

I guess it is truly a new way of doing things – be it making the profession better or changing the profession into something different.

In the end, i truly hope there is still a way to improve the chronomancer and the dragonhunter (including changing the name to something better, please). And make the remaining elite classes, including the druid, comparable to what was done with the elementalist and the necromancer.

Guardians

Building on the idea… Damage Guardians are not as powerful as they could be… I suggest we don’t make them like warrior. Instead, be faithful to the concept of a Guardian. If we invest on power to increase damage, why not improve the Zeal traits that increases efficiency and effectiveness of damage provided through symbols and spirit weapons – instead of adding direct damage.

Zeal V – Shattered Aegis Damage instead of Burning
Why damage? why not intensify the burning for a very short period of time. The effect may be the same (duration so short to be removed but intensity so high producing direct damage like damage) but this maintains the burning damage concept of guardians.

Zeal VII – Zealous Blade This trait now scales with Healing power (2%.)
_i agree on this – giving credit to investing in healing power over other trait. _

Zeal XII – Kindled Zeal. Increased conversion from 10% to 13%.
If you want to be a more damage guardian, i think this is just right to increase conversion factor. I just hope investing the last 5 points will yield a significant damage that is worth the investment.

Symbol of Swiftness This skill now applies 4 seconds of swiftness per pulse, rather than 8 seconds if you have no swiftness and 1 second if you have swiftness.
Guardians are by default slow. if you don’t want this skill to be taken advantage of by other profession who are already fast, then why not tweak it in such a way that it will not lose the guardian’s option for speed?
