Truth be told I was one such xfer. But I only came for Balth temple. In my week of being in Kaineng WvW I did notice that many of the players would spawn camp. But when I was commanding I absolutely told every single person that it was beyond question a terrible thing to do. I would NEVER have my group hang outside the door. A few times I even offered to abandon a tower to allow a breakout to trigger and thus give a foothold to the opposition. I just wanted a good fight. Unfortunately my unarmored body was pierced by dozens of arrows as I walked forwards to discuss a peace treaty.

I think that would be interesting. I actually was in a zone when an art Dev asked guys to go through a puzzle with him. Sadly only I showed up and it turned out he did the arts for the entire thing. Was interesting to hear him talk about it and play through it with him.

As said, my guild has been wondering if anyone knew at the rate they grew. Someone got one recently and I tried googling but nothing really showed up. Any info would be great. Thank you.

I think it was Colin who stated in an earlier interview (during development) that people should never have to leave WvW if they don’t want to. Do you feel that you’ve met this goal so far (or was it a misinterpretation on my part)?

You’re welcome! Things have been really busy around here since we shipped, and that’s a big reason why we haven’t had a chance to communicate nearly as much as we’d like to, so we’re trying to make an effort to change that. We want to talk to you just as much as you want us to tell you stuff

As far as being able to play just in WvW and never have to leave if they don’t want to, that most definitely is our goal, and I think we’ve done a fairly good job at that so far. We do need to make sure ascended gear is obtainable in WvW, but other than that I think we’ve mostly made it so you never have to leave WvW if you just want to play there forever. Feel free to point out why I’m wrong about that

I am extremely greatful for this info as well. When I play I am almost always in WvW. ONLY complaint I have is the amount of gold I get from doing it. It is almost impossible to pay for the Upgrades and Siege Weapons along with the Repair Bill :O.

I use Hide in Shadows as my Heal. I wear Full P/T/V gear and go 0 30 10 30 0. I have 22k Hp so I can take a few hits. If you start to go down I always carry 3 stealths in my utilities to back out of the fight.

My thief has 22k hp and a ton of toughness. I can still pack a punch with my Daggers. I know the DPS drops by alot but I can do more dps then a thief that goes down and takes another player to rezz if a boss in a dungeon hits them or they get aoe’d in WvW.

Full P/V/T Armor set
6/6 Sup. Sigil of the Wurm
P/V/T Bow (Commander So I am at the front of a zerg AOE helps a ton)
Rings are P/V/T and Solaria
Then Healing Tough Power Amulet and accessories with a Karka Shell.
Then 0 30 10 30 0 for my traits. I can take a hit or 2

I need 16 more clovers and I have the karma for it. Now I just need that pos to open up

Are there any guilds in Sanctum of Rall that do Balthazar Temple runs every now and then? It’s becoming ridiculous trying to open that thing up by gathering up people through map chat. I truly hate that event but I need the shards :/.

I know how you feel.. It does take forever to do. My least favorite part though is the Clovers. The one thing that you literally cannot control. Farming for thousands of ingredients then have to go by chance for a huge part of it.

I generally use the forums to see if there is any new information out, etc and hardly ever log in to actually write anything. (Prefer to just watch rather then participate) But after seeing this paragraph I felt I had to jump in. You sir/ ma’am seem to be on one of the highest horses I have ever seen in my life. This is probably one of the most irritating threads to have read but I couldn’t help myself as I clicked next to watch your posts become more and more grating. There have been 126 posts centered around different discussions as to how you may or may not be wrong and in your defense you have simply said that you are right and that person is wrong or ignorant. Well, I do kind of agree. My lvl 80 Thief in full Tough/Vit exotics has some trouble BUT what you have to remember is to keep moving. This is not a game where you can soak up damage. It is definitely possible to solo as long as you keep moving and try to stay behind it.
