Ever since the release of The Head of the Snake, every Lake Doric Black Lion Chest (18 of them) that I have opened has had 2 Heavy Crafting Bags in it – always in the leftmost slot, much like the default drops from previous celebrations (New Year/Wintersday/Halloween). When double-clicking on the chests, I see a preview that shows the Heavy Crafting bag in the left-most slot (prior to opening the bag) as though it’s there by default.
Now, upon previewing the Lake Doric Chests, I find that there are any number of common items that drop from the chest – is there a reason that Heavy Crafting Bags are so abundant? If they’re a default drop, then that essentially reduces our chances of receiving any other significant drops from the chest greatly.
This evening, while I was in WvW, I decided to open a recent chest drop. The fourth drop from the chest was Braham’s Wolfbood Outfit, which I already have unlocked.
In the recent past, when I had a duplicate wardrobe unlock, I received a key and a message in red that informed me that I had a duplicate account-bound unlock.
This time, there was no message, no key and the outfit went directly into my inventory.
I couldn’t find this elsewhere on the forums, so I thought I’d post it here.
I have several Jubilant Dye Packs that I cannot use, as I have unlocked all dyes save a few of the newest Vibrant dyes.
Will newer dye packs eventually be included in the Jubilant packs?
Why remove them? For some of us, that’s the only way we can access our bank while in WvW – and if it’s a reset night and we need something from our bank, we either have to go without or lose our place in WvW. (I’ve even crafted armor on the fly when I decided to change a build – but no more)
Even during the week, access to a bank in our home BL can be tricky because we cannot maintain our keeps long enough to get them.
So the only solution is either carry everything we need, leave whenever we need something or have a few Bank Access Expresses on you at all time.
What’s the reasoning behind removing them, Anet?
Since I am not sure if this is a bug due to incorrect description being given for the Reward Track Boost, I didn’t put this in the bugs section.
Currently, both the Guild WXP Gain and the Guild WvW Reward Track Boost have the exact same description. Do they do the exact same thing? If so, I have a bone to pick with Anet, because we were told the Reward Track Boost would actually help out with the reward track, and I could have saved the gold I spent on items required for the Reward Track boost.
I am incredibly disappointed at the choice to remove merchants that sell Gifts of Battle from WvW – we’ve already done the work to earn the Badges of Honor, and now you want us to do even more work to earn a Gift of Battle?
For those of us who are working diligently on our legendary weapons, this is a kick to the face – just more grind added to the already insurmountable grind-and-wait, grind-and-wait that GW2 has become.
Granting the player the ability to create precursors and legendaries was a boon to those of us who have never been graced by the RNG gods. But the lack of mystic coin availability, the long wait to amass enough to make a legendary and the countless tracks one must complete to acquire mystic clovers/obsidian shards (about those Karma boosts..) was an awful lot to expect of someone who is just trying to obtain the end-all-be-all in the game. This new track, which is the only way to now obtain a Gift of Battle is akin being taxed twice for the work, and that’s very nearly enough to make me walk away from this game forever.
This does not add incentive to an already grindy game, folks.
I went to the Known Issues page: https://help.guildwars2.com/entries/98802888 and failed to see any mention of this horribly broken event there – how can that possibly be?
“Sunrise I: NPCs in “Harpy Rescue” event do not flee when harpies are killed” is not on the list.
I’m wondering how it was there two months ago and is now missing…
Same thing happened to me when I created a placeholder character this morning. I just about had a heart attack, because I KNEW I hadn’t been awarded erroneous points. I received a mail message notifying me that I had a Title-Issuing error and was down nearly 500 AP. I switched quickly to an older character as I was waiting for the forums to load and found my original AP was still intact. Then, I switched back to the placeholder character and all was good.

I had a similar issue. I placed the recipe in storage, removed it and then was able to use it.
I created the Mysterious Vine back item more than a week ago; I had a cultivated seed in my inventory until yesterday’s update. Now I have a Pet Seed. Prior to the update, I’m quite positive that it was still a cultivated seed.
I actually completed my monthly last night, yet this evening, I’m reset to 3/4.
Both my Monthly Salvage Kit Usages and my Veteran Slayer had been reset to the first tier after today’s update, despite the Veteran being complete and Salvage Kit Usage being well through the third tier.
