Trying to keep an uncontrollable NPC alive for a whole dungeon run or else restart. This must be the worst idea on the whole forum. I wont comment on the rest of the post, as there are no good ideas.

When most people are having a hard time to coordinate in a 5 man group (look at simin fight) you want some crazy coordination of 15 people doing 15 things all at once.

Enough said…

Not sure what to say to this, the idea is sound, plus your not coordinating 15 ppl, the idea would be to each party follow an independent path, and all 3 parties meet up at a final boss, plus I do dungeons quite allot and there’s not one of them that I can say its impossible to coordinate 5 people.

If you don’t like the idea, make a proper point mate.

A Fix to Stealth

In there, there is a proposed fix for thiefs stealth, I’ll quote it:

I’m one of those players that plays WvW regularly, its just good fun, yet I can not be the only one to think, WvW is lacking allot. I’v been discussing this with my fellow Guildies and came up with a few ideas, that in my opinion could improve WvW.

The way it works now is every 15 mins the potential points are added to each Server score, but the current system doesn’t encourage defending the Control Points, there’s a trend going on called flipping camps where small parties will run around taking supply camps right before the score count. My idea would be to account every single Control Point independently, each CP would have its independent timer that at the end of it would add to the server score, this would force Servers to actually defend said CP, and would make WvW more intense, this would mean the end of potential points and move to a much more fluid and direct approach of scoring.

Then we have Jumping Puzzle, I’v seen this happen more then once, where the borderland would be full and there would be 15-20 doing jumping puzzles, thus occupying the spots of players that actually want to do some wvw, what I’m proposing is to make JP instances that don’t interfere with the borderland pop cap. I don’t mind jps but I mind having to queue up because some players are doing the jp.

This also brings me to other points like dead Mesmer and perma stealth thiefs inside keeps, I don’t mind the tactic, what I do mind is the broken stealth system that makes it nearly impossible to find a thief inside the keep. 1st I think after you die there should be an auto-re-spawn after 1 min, that’s more then enough time for a ally to rez you. Then I think that stealth on a thief is broken, and not because its perma stealth but because complete invisibility is broken, I think that a thief that is stealth should show the same animation that it shows to him self, a shimmer that is hard to see, like a camouflage and finally thiefs should not be able to finish someone while stealth, whats the point in downing if you can’t use your skills on the enemy.

Now Compensation, right now we are using Badges of honor, not only I think that the rewards you can buy with them are few, but are also expensive (gear) and unattractive, plus they are hard to get playing wvw normally doing JP is another way of getting them but I think that’s broken, because you can farm 70 BoH per day if I’m not wrong and that is more then I can get from WvW playing it a whole day,
My idea would to remove BoH completely and move to a currency like karma, that could be simply called Honor, said currency would be gifted when you kill and enemy, take a CP, finish the JP, they need also to add more interesting rewards to wvw.

Sentry, these CP are one of the most pointless at the moment, only thing they tell you is if an enemy party is passing by that area. I think that once you take the Sentry, a waypoint should spawn on it after 1-2 mins has a reward for having it, the things is sometimes we lose more time running around in wvw then in actual fighting (the fun part), and this would help towards making WvW more dynamic.

This is just a few ideas, WvW is so much fun but has potential for so much more.

I also forgot to rant about the Commander Title.

Has it is not only is Commander Title, being given in the wrong way it lacks fundamental tools.
1st of all Commander Title can be bought with 100 Gold, and that is just wrong, Commander title is supposed to a tool for WvW why would you sell it for gold? I can buy Commander book without ever doing actual WvW, I’v seen people with no experience what so ever getting the book, and failing bad in Commanding in WvW, that makes everyone experience frustrating, Commander Books should only be acquired by players who actually play WvW, by either have a amount of Achievements Points in WvW, has a requirement to use it, or buyable with WvW Currency, that means who ever gets the book has at least a notion off what he is doing.
On the tools Commander get with the book, it basically should give you the same tools you get on a party, seeing everyone in you squad in the mini-map, call a target so everyone can see, and finally I think that Guild Upgrades should have something similar to the buffs you can get when your in a Keep controlled by the guild, but for commanders, where when the upgrade is on every commander in that guild give a area wide buff, nothing to OP, just something to incentivate other players to be near the commander.

Its not just Lick Wounds, The ability Search And Rescue, is also suffering from the same bug, its annoying when you need to use to support your party in dungeons and it simply bugs, needs to be fixed Asap

Garrison West Inner Gate Bridge Exploit

So today in WvW Dzagnor Server were getting in our (Underworld Server) garrison over and over again, and even after a few Mesmer sweeps they keeped getting inside the inner gate, then at the 5th time I finally found their Mesmer he was sort of inside the bridge in the west inner gate of garrison, I’m not sure if this is an exploit or not, but still, when you are there you can’t see the name at all, so its incredibly hard to spot someone hiding there, this needs to be fixed asap, I tried it and its really easy to get to that spot, even a norn can become nearly invisible there.

I asked a guild mate to stand there for me so I could take that ss, since I didnt manage to get one of the Mesmer in the actual situation.

I agree with the editing of MotD strongly… we need it A.S.A.P.

Yes furthermore MoTD should have its own tab, since It should bring useful information of the guild, Including Officers names rules events etc…

Also notice its very hard for a Guild Leader to mass mail guildies, theres isnt an mail all guildies option for GL and thats a fail or even just be able to make contact groups.

It amazes me that after 3 months this game still has little to no guild managing tools, srysly how hard can it be, In a game where a guild can have 500 players and you can’t even see when the person last log in, how is a Guild Leader supposed to keep the guild cleaned of inactive or unhelpful players. My guild has been having this problem for a while now we are constantly hitting 500 members and separating the actives from the inactives is painful because there’s so many ppl and its nearly impossible to keep track of all of them.
So pls ANET give Guilds Better managing tools and better rankings customization.

So I find my self most of the times changing armors/weps but I have to do it manually, I think why don’t we have sets set up that we can just hotkey and change my gear, off course out of battle. Its a simple idea that helps us allot.

So bots have been a serious issue with this game and an annoying one for that matter, what even makes it worse is the lack of response from ANet, I mean even tho they might have problems blocking the bots, they can at least have the support team ready to ban the bots, for the last 5 days I have been reporting a couple of bots at least 2 times a day, and no action whatsoever was taken.
So what you guys think of this problem and how should we has a community be solving it.

I see, I was pointing out that despite the fact they downscale your level, you don’t get the same exp, but you should other wise its not rewarding enough to make ppl wanting to go back to starter areas, and that is the point of downscaling in the 1st place.

The downscaling is a great feature of GW2; it’s one of my favorites to be honest. I love the idea that I can get close to the same experience in a level 15-20 map at 80 that I could at level 15-20. There is little to no enjoyment rolling over everything.

Actually you don’t get nearly has much exp from that not even close, you should tho.

I have been playing GW2 since release and have been having a blast, even tho I’m still at level 73 instead of grinding to max I have been taking the slow approach and have been exploring the world and seeing things with no hurry to max, this games almost tells you not to hurry up to max just relax and enjoy the ride, also I don’t have that much time to play it. Now there a couple of things I would like to point out that ANet clearly try to change from your traditional MMO but I think they could have done better.

1st and foremost the level system, this is an old approach that encourages progression, problem is in most MMOs this turns into grinding, and makes lower level maps unrewarding, ANet tried to fix this by downscalling the level/stats or like in WvW upscaling them, why not get ride of levels all together? I think this game is design in a way that could actually get way with it.
Instead of levels and exponential experience, get rid of it and make exp more like a currency where players can buy stats upgrades, something like what traits already give but in a more robust and customizable way, if anyone here has played FFX, you will know what I’m talking about. Also instead of downscalling the player to that area of the map, only downscale it for dynamic events and Skill challenge Some would say “but what about hearts?”, no need hearts aren’t really that challenging anyway and not all of them involves killing mobs so I don’t see why the need to downscale the player stats for hearts, Dynamic events on the other hand would require it, there needs to be a balance because the downscaling might seem a good idea to challenge the player but it also removes a little of the progression sensation.
I’m just giving a crude idea, but I think with more refining ANet could actually get rid of levels has a standard.

Next is the push back, I notice that you can not push mobs off a cliff but they can push you, I find this absurd, wheres the fun in that, if ANet wants to prevent ppl from pushing mobs from cliffs, just give stronger mobs a passive skill that prevents pushing, but the rest should be able to be push-able.

I play a Ranger and its long range, the point is if I’m long range I will always look to be as far as possible from my target if possible in higher ground, now what iskitten is that most of the time If I have the high ground I won’t be able to hit my target it will just get in invulnerable state, this happens if the AI can’t find a path to me, this is fine if I’m in some point where you can only get by platforming, but more then often this isn’t the case where simply because of the AI limitation of path finding it will enter this state and prevents me from killing it, I mean whats the point of being long range if you can’t even take advantage of higher ground. The right way to do it is, 1 improve AI path finding and 2 when it doesn’t find a path run away from who ever is attacking it, but not healing it self up.

And finally another complaint about Long Range, I notice that in WvW range is wrongly done, has it is now Long Range is actually Mid Range and short Range is pretty much CQC. This only affects WvW because of the sheer size of it, you can have at times 50+ if not even more players in a very small area, this ends up being a mess, and when you want to position strategically your team by range you notice that long range are way to close the the battle because their range isn’t big enough making them easy pray, and I’m not talking about rangers here I’m talking in general, Long range skills should have more range and less dmg while short range ones better dmg at the expense of range, Long range needs to be pushed a notch.

I know its a wall of text but this is just what I think could be done to improve the game.
