Random suggetion, but I’ve noticed its power is just slightly above that of a regular bomb from the bomb kit. I like the range, no problems there, but I think it should have a bit more power. I’d be willing to see a small increase in cool down in exchange for a bit more power… It just seems like it should be a bit mor devistating than it actually is. I feel it’s kind of disappointing.

although in reality, night is pitch black or very near that without any light sources. I think it helps players more with game than with graphics. If it were tinted too much, they’d get compaints that things are too hard to see.

I think that because each class doesn’t hold a significant role (crowd controls, conditions, tank, healer, ect. No very noticeable line seperting them.) It’s a little more difficult to immerse yourself in strategy. I think that takes away from the intensity of some battles.

why cant you just let us have dueling it’s not like it effects you at all if you dont want to do it then dont its not that big of a deal it hurts no one….

It could potentially have a MASSIVE effect on the balance of the entire game so, yes, it affects me even if I don’t do it.

How MASSIVE exactly and why would it effect you even if you didnt play? everyone has givin a valid point and held their argument. I could see people complaining when they lose, or bragging when they win creating tension, but nothing more. This is inevitable in any game where 2 or more people can compete.

I’ve already mentioned the potential effects. Read a few posts back.

Unbalanced 1v1 could have already been argued through an unlucky PvP or WvW encounter. I’ve dueled my brother in that sense and lost. I’d find having all the same EQ and whatnot and duelling PvP and THEN losing would already justify arguing over class imbalances, but I haven’t seen that argued yet.

Paid Appearance Change

I would like to see this. I never want to re-create my character entirely (down to the class and race) but I’d like to be able to change my apprearance. I wouldn’t want to get to such a level and realize I can’t stand the way my character looks. It’s cosmetic, so i couldn’t see this being difficult or harmful.

I disagree, personally i couldn’t finish reading the whole thing. God and Goddess are general words. To say Godsword applies only to the Christian God or any other is pretty rediculous.

The name and the meaning of the sword could belong to a fictional ‘God’ only in the game. Personally i find someone or something with a name such as this more childish than offensive… it’s not very original.

I would like to see this. Since dueling is an option and not a need, it doesn’t need to be balanced at all. Different levels, different EQ, different classes, shouldn’t matter. It’s good fun (In most cases) and good practice.

Yeah, that’s what I’d like to see. GW2 does have it’s own great way of remodeling EQ. I would, however, like to see more options for remodeling. Skin vendors would be nice to have and to allow clothing or other apparel to be used as a skin. I thought the same thing too, that maybe it will be implimented a little later. Can’t hurt to suggest it though.

Idk why they would take away previews on purpose. They still need to add previews to the trading post.

meh my beef with them is the harvesting syle only has 50 uses where everything else has 100

The reason for this is lumber and ore take a charge of your “tools” every swing. Plants are only one “swing” when you harvest them. Lumber and ore are three (or more for rich nodes).

I would just like to be able to buy multiple stacks of a gathering tool and have them stack up as much as I want so I could buy 5 stacks of lumber axes and have a 500 stack equipped. That’s my only real gripe.

Agreed – i hate running around with my inv full and noticing the extra gathering tools taking up space when they should stack.

Agreed – a lot of classes have varying skill distances. But also think it should be a toggle just incase people like keeping the screen clear of UI.

I don’t think this game embodies class roles enough to really strategize as you may have in other MMOs. There is no Crowd control class, Condition class, DPS class… CCs last at most about 4-5 seconds, everyone is capable of condition damage, and all classes are capable of doing decent damage. The two classes I’ve noticed that make a difference are Guardian (for it’s healing, boons, and tank capability.) same for warrior good tank. that’s about it.

True they can’t expect a player with a class like Necromancer (where a great portion of their utility skills are CDs) to do DD and still be just as effective as a class such as a warrior.

In the end CD to DD damaging is imbalanced. Both types should be living up to thier potentials. I agree. Reguardless to how quickly something is downed.

There are WPs yards away from eachother. I do see where it would be helpful if someone hadn’t gotten the WP near where they were defeated – sure. But like i said earlier, ofcourse they don’t leave when they’re being helped because they know they’re being helped. But seeing a dot near you or coming your way doesn’t make a person 100% sure you’re heading to revive them.

Right, armor doesn’t need to be repaired at all broken or damaged. But after being defeated EQ is inevitably broken or damaged. So i find unless you’re nearer than the nearest WP, you’re really not saving them much…I’m not disagreeing with this suggestion at all. Number 2 just takes priority for me, that’s all.

Thinking about it now… PvE bosses (even when you don’t get your condition damage in) get defeated fairly easily. Wouldn’t removing the cap mean super fast/easy boss battles? I haven’t been to a boss where there hasn’t been atleast 20 players participating.

I can’t think of an argument right now, I’d have to agree. Persoanlly I really enjoy condition builds, the cap is the only thing that’s bothered me.

To be honest it’s a slight resource loss and that’s about it. If it were to remove gold, exp and then make you repair your EQ it might be a little more important. First of all seeing all players on the mini map doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t warp away at the last second. 1.Unless you alert them how will they know you’re coming to raise them? just cause they see a dot heading in thier direction isn’t necessarily going to make them stay.2. If you do alert them, why wouldn’t they wait? 3.No matter what after being defeated you have to repair your eq. Warping to a nearby WP costs very little resources and saves a lot of time for everyone.

I’ve done this like 3 times already. I fully back you on this request. To me it seems a little odd this wasn’t implimented earlier. They have confirmations elsewhere but not here. 1. Map completetion is time consuming and not always easy. 2. Each area can only be completeted once. It seems like adding comfirmation would be an obvious course of action haha.

I’m going to have to agree with this. I was ecstatic about my new thief condition build, throwing caltrops and using the Death Blossom skill. However, making yourself a condition damage user, you are in turn sacrificing direct damage. I don’t want to be stuck doing 1/8 of the base damage of a power build and then on top of that only get 2 stacks of conditions on a mob. I could see removing that especially for pvp would be very overpowered. I wouldn’t want to be running around with 100+ stacks of bleed on me, reguardless of who it came from. But I think it should be changed for certain mobs, especially group event mobs.

Waypoint costs have to go.

No, not that i don’t agree, but haven’t yet become a problem for me specifically. I tend to only revive those whom are next to me or in view. The only account bound items I’ve come across have been BLTP items. (Which when cash is a possible currency, i found this ok.) Oh, well the SP one should definately be addressed… i missed that. Finally I’ve never had the need to type in a different language, but i could see where it might come into play.

I would agree with this if i believed it wouldn’t effect the over all economy of the game. saving more money would mean having more money on hand. more money on hand means being able to buy more stuff at the TP- so on and so forth. An increase in saved resources would only mean an increase in prices.

Where as i agree with most of these topics, number 2 seems to stick out the most. I found this extremely frusterating and ended up having to refer to a GW2 Wiki. I would like to see more detailed descriptions.

There are probably a few suggestions for apparel, but i figured I’d add my own. From all the MMO’s I’ve played I enjoyed Aion’s armor Remodel setup. It follows the same concept that transmuting follows. You can’t change the appearance of armor outside of your armor architype. Aion, however, had a vendor that sold pieces of ‘clothing’ or ‘apparel’ that everyone could use to remodel with.

The remodel vendor sold seasonal, roleplaying, and casual apparel that could replace the look of any armor type. Personally I was happy to see there was a clothing option on Guild Wars 2, but unhappy it wasn’t a permanent thing. Clothing on GW2 cannot be used in combat. I get that it can be used for RP and for wandering around the world, but it doesn’t seem like it’s being utilized. One thing that i’ve seen in MMOs is that many like not to only play the part, but also look the part. I for one find it easier for me to play a character that i like.

I think that this would work on many levels. This game is very balanced. Everyone has the ability to recieve or attain anything another player can (skills/weapons/armor appearances, being so few). I think this would allow people to show differences in a way that wouldn’t unbalance the game, but also show uniqueness in characters. This may be something that just hasn’t been implimented yet (this game being just past launch.) But in a game so well balanced, persoanlly I would like to see more apparel changes so players can find a way to individualize themselves from the crowd.

This happened to me too, i had’nt noticed it until about noonish yesterday (sep 6th) and it’s still the same today (sep 7th). Hitting next on the page after searching, clears the search all together. Then i have to hit search again to restart the search. It makes it very difficult to look through the trading posts.
