I have clicked on the wrong world and transfered to borlis pass instead of dragonbrand.
Its been a week. I am still in Borlis Pass and my gems have not been refunded. Either you put me back in Crystal desert and give me back the 1800 gems of put me in dragonbrand and keep the gems. But dragonbrand is full so i dont know if you can do that.

Condition damage such as burning and bleeding means you can do damage while you are dodging or running away. So in terms of actual dps you can actually do more than a zerk build where you hit a few times and run/dodge most of the time or stay dead.
Not really, no.
All that time you’re spending dodging is time you aren’t applying conditions. Your immediate dps may not take much of a hit, but your long-term dps is still dropping just as badly as a direct damage build will.
I play an earth staff elementalist. I press skill 2 twice and run far away. Never failed any fotm before. Max 1.5 hours.

My female norn elementalist often dies for no reason. I have died standing still right before the second last seal breaking event at the seal breaking instance and right after picking up the hammer. I also die for no reason at the harpy instance, at the jumping right before the final asura boss. Please fix this serious bug.
My comp always crashes at FoTM’s jellyfish boss and the seal breaking place at the second seal to break. Can someone look into it and fix the bug causing my comp to crash?
I am an avid penitent shelter farmer too. I get between 2 to 4 rares per hour farming there. With the patch that introduces tough mobs much less people are farming there. I think the actual supply of ectos are about the same as it balances out the chest drop increase.
And I farm grenth too. Not the chest but the ice elementals. Post grenth buff patch. Lots of people farm grenth and deliberately fail the event to farm the mobs. I think the chest drop balances that too.
Massive? If it is that massive it wont take 2 days for my buy orders to be filled for exotic gear for my new warrior. Sure a lot of people bought the game. But also a lot of people did not continue playing the game after 2 weeks from buying it. None of my real life friends who bought the game are still playing it and I am all alone…

We’re talking the rarest and most coveted precursors in the game. I’d say the game economy’s pretty big.
I dont know but im sure there will be people who post higher buy orders. But what I meant is that if it were that massive the buying and selling would fluctuate faster for my orders to be filled. I did post the highest buy price before logging off.
I think you’re overvaluing what was created by bots during that time period. GW2 is massive (by definition I suppose, but also in reality) what those bots made for a couple of weeks isn’t 1/1000th of the total turn of this economy since launch.

1. I’m pretty sure the maw has a virtually 100% rare drop for participating.
2. When I said those assumptions aren’t necessarily true, I meant they aren’t true. Over 10,000 unique sellers of ectos in the last 24 hours alone. What you are seeing is a supply shift, not an push up the supply curve.
John, you say there is a 100% chance of rare for maw but I that is really what I heard when I zoned in. Also why is rare rate for maw 100% but mega destroyer not? Im very sure I didnt get a rare out of that. There must be a reason.
For ectos I see nice round numbers of large stacks sold, meaning a single seller did it. It may be that there are 10k unique sellers a day as you say but they sell in small quantities and vanish quickly.
Ok heres a suggestion. Everyone do a chest event and during the event ask around if everyone did indeed get a rare.

The number of rares sold before patch was hovering at 12k total. Now it has increased to 35k. There is no way people could farm so much and so fast within the short period of time so the increase can only mean one thing; investors are dumping their stock.
You shouldn’t make assumptions like this, they aren’t necessarily true. Many times I’ve expressed how massive this market is, and that the orders don’t represent supply or velocity.
Sry I dont mean rare. I meant ectos. Plus that is not just it. I noticed that ectos sold were by larg3 batches, like 250 to 2000 ectos occupying a single price. This further proves my point that it is jist investors dumping stock as no one can farm out 2000 ectos overnight. But these are just the noob traders. Intelligent ones like myself dump in small random stacks at different prices so that it wont cause panic selling.
The low-level events of Fire Elemental, Maw, and Behemoth takes no time at all.
The biggest culprits are Maw and Fire Elemental, since they have like a 30-minute respawn timer. Which makes it incredibly easy to find a server to guest to where those events are about to happen.

Yes. You were actually unlucky. You usually get a rare from them now. (Something yellow at least, it might be junk like sapphire orbs).
It’s more common to get two rares from a chest now than it was to get 1 pre patch.

Even if you dont die from the powerful mobs, you spend most of the time trying to take them down. Plus new mobs don’t spawn until you kill the champion and veterans. So people tend to leave and stop farming totally after a while.
Tanking but not for long after the panic selling is over. Anyone notice how tough it is to farm at penitent shelter now? lots of veterans and champions popping up and everyone’s dying.
I found out that DR is removed when you swap team members. Just so you all know. You can try it out and post results here, see if my theory is correct.

Armored scale prices have now crashed to like 6 silver a piece. Must be the gold farmers dumping their stock of after anet announcement that they are going to tighten measures against bots. I always see bots farming in southsun cove, in the waters between point lion and pride where the waters are shallow. I report them asap but the same bots are still there the next day. Anet dont give a rats kitten about them it seems.
Nah I doubt there will be much significant wintersday recipe that makes use of existing ingredients. They will introduce a new item just like they did for Halloween, the candy corn. And I can bet you 100 gw1 gold the new important item will be called candy canes..
