Warrior is pretty alright, though the cc chain can be toned down a little.

Mesmer still has too much invuln block evade uptime to be benefiting from things like chaos armor aegis spam, healing on shatter.

Thief is just broken at this point. Everything else got its nerf bat except thief, which had consecutive buffs. A lot of ESL players and streamers calling it the most OP class in the game right now.

+1 initiative on headshot. 3 sec ICD on Pulmonary impact, 5 sec ICD on swiftness proc and immobilizing condis on unhindered combatant.

Funny how TC gave up every single scrim first 30 hours of reset, after they dominated last weeks matchup.

JQ tanked in response to TC’s tank, now TC has an 80 man map queue spawn camping with siege, banners, and Ewps. Their EU is playing 5 hours past their raid time, WL playing from late NA to past SEA time.

90% of JQ isnt trying to tank. We have a queue in ebg, which is the max we normally have during a normal night.

TW transfer mid week. You haven’t even seen the effects of them playing and you guys are asking for more. TC hasn’t even seen the effects of losing them and you think JQ needs a link? I don’t understand. You don’t have to be even against MAG and BG. That’s not the objective. Hell those two servers are too stacked. You need to stop comparing your server to them and look at the bigger picture. Before last night there was a 9 to 10k gap difference between JQ and TC. What do you think that gap would have looked like if TW had started there versus over here? I understand the end of the week snowball is taking into effect, but you shouldnt need an abundance of coverage to compete at this level. BG and MAG are both bloated and MAG will more than likely be unlinked because of it..

Well TW started with JQ this week and its now looking to be pretty similar to last week, so its fair to say TW hasn’t made a big enough difference that JQ shouldn’t get a link.

Pretty funny to see Mal argue that JQ has a much better coverage and thats why their closed, yet last week TC dominated the matchup. Seems like there might be a biased there, no? JQ had a higher KDR, yet lost most of the scrims. This usually relates to TC ppting harder, and having much more coverage to make up for the points lost to ppk.

That being said, I sincerely hope anet isn’t influenced by TC and YB’s tanking this week and the last few days of the prior week. Links are getting reset so they begun tanking.

@OP I get that your upset about Revenant changes, but attempting to direct your unfound rage at thief is not the right direction.

Thief is barely viable outside of d/p in any competitive context and just barely too. I don’t think the op understands the state thief is in, and is living in this idea of what thief was over a year ago.

Literally aside from condi d/d, cheesy traps changes and pistol main hand upgrades we’ve received nerfs continously. We only have one chance for stealth attacks. No survivability aside of spamming dodges and no capacity to support any other role other than +1. Anet has watered the class down to mobility and encouraged spam. If you take away either then thief has nothing.

Like anything that you think is OP or broken, pick it up. Chances are you’ll learn its not that broken pretty fast, or it is and you walk all over people. Win Win.

Theif is not the only class that people do this on, I’ve seen people do the exact same thing on ranger, guardian, mesmer, and elementalist. Your point that someone can do this on thief is moot.

@Burtnik.5218 This is the second thread I’ve read today that your just attacking other classes because yours got adjusted. Yesterday it was ranger and today its thief. Nothing productive will come of it.

The mobility and stealth is unmatched for thief.
I do not see how any class besides druid could successfully pull off running from 5 people traited to catch someone with blinks, pulls, reveals, and cc. The thief can literally stay in the same area after he just ran away and do it again in 30 seconds. Compare that to the most hardcore attempt to run and live from ele, you would be placed on severe cooldowns if you some how managed to survive 2 revs, druids, thieves, etc chasing you. I cannot picture how a guardian can out maneuver 5 people using its… mobility… could you please explain that?

I don’t see the fun in tapping a keep forever except to troll and ruin a game mechanic, so I won’t plan on making a build for keep tapping thief.

I made this post in general discussion and it was moved here. If I had a choice I’d rather have it in wvw because that is where I believe the mobility is more problematic. And if you want a more reasonable position: apply the nerfs to wvw only. Comments made about pvp were more about stating how thief was viable due to it’s mobility, but now it wins half of the matchups in 1 v 1, and still has insane mobility. If it’s mobility function was left unchanged, all the damage changes were an over buff imo, and players I know that main thief who agree.

Simply stated: thief is used to troll in wvw due to it’s mobility. There’s no doubt that you can get away with trolling a 40 man zerg. Simply stealth, shadow step in, troll, shadow step out, remove immobilizing condis with evade, then blink away. Repeat.

Then there’s the game mechanic that thief entirely ruins, what’s the point of a waypoint on a t3 keep if a thief just has to poke guards to contest? It’s next to impossible to kill a keep tap thief since the distance they can cover while in stealth is insane, and open field means they have anywhere to go. You can have 5 people hunting the thief down and it still isn’t enough.

There are plenty of ways thief can be nerfed in terms of mobility, but my proposal is the most direct and doesn’t screw up other aspects of thief.

We had a long period of time were thieves weren’t particularly viable due to people not knowing how to 1 vs 1 on thief, but more importantly, the fact that they shouldn’t be 1 vs 1ing on thief. Thief’s job was decapping and pushing far, +1’ing with fast rotations, and sniping distant enemy team members in team fights. Thief benefited greatly from its mobility, and it needed that mobility in order to do the things it did.

Now, after many consecutive buffs to thieves, things are starting to get a little ridiculous. Thief used to counter necro and mesmer only, and that was fine because as stated before, 1 vs 1 was not it’s role. Since the numerous buffs, Thief now easily wins against revs, scrapper, maybe even some ele builds, while having an insane amount of teleports and easy access to stealth.

Thief currently has the best of both worlds: insane mobility, and insane damage. For both wvw and pvp, it has become broken. I’m not wanting the class to be useless, but here are my proposed nerfs: Short bow 5 reduced to 900 and 5 second CD. Unhindered combat swiftness and condition clear given an ICD of 5.

I understand it is important to the class to maintain mobility, and that’s what the profession is based on, but it really sticks out like a sore thumb when in pvp a thief respawns and in 5-6 seconds he’s at mid, kills you in 5 seconds, and then is off to the next point. In wvw it’s even more silly. A thief can just run into 40 man blobs and troll, blink 5 times and never get touched. Thieves are responsible for the endless tapping and desieging of keeps because again, it’s as easy as applying stealth then using 5 blinks.

The current tier 2 match up for week 9/16/16 – 9/23/16 has predominately been between JQ and YB alone. DB has no numbers to compare to either one of these servers at any given time zone. For the most part, YB map queues DB BL and controls the majority of the map during prime times. Dragonbrand has been demoralized and lost many guild groups to transfers, thus they are not populated enough to stay in tier 2.

As the score stands now, YB has 101 victory points, JQ has 85, and DB has 51. In scrims, DB has won first place twice (reset night), second place 6 times, and third place 30 times. This is by far the largest difference in victory points for any NA tier.

Statistics for kills, death and kdr from Wvwintel.com are as follows:
YB: Kills: 17,117 Deaths: 22,492 Ratio: 0.76
JQ: Kills: 20,946 Deaths: 15,045 Ratio: 1.39
DB: Kills: 8,016 Deaths: 10,504 Ratio: 0.76

Dragonbrand has the absolute lowest amount of kills and deaths in all NA tiers. While it cannot be said that activity, player population, and kills are directly linked, there is an obvious enough conclusion to be drawn from these numbers.

Dragonbrand will do much better in tier 3 and will have more activity as moral is restored in a more even playing field. Fort Aspenwood is much more comparable to JQ and YB than DB and should be in tier 2.

Make reporting trolls/spies a thing.

The numerous revenant glitches that I experience every single day have been increasingly irritating. From Echoing Erruption (Mace 3) randomly turning the direction of the player on uneven ground, to Coalescence of Ruin (Hammer 2) stopping on a slope, nothing has changed for months. Revenant is useless on a WvW tactic banner because it can’t use heal, utility, or elite skills due to the bug that disables those skills on bundles without F1-F5. It’s saddening to know that if revenant had an extra advantage from a bug, it would be patched in 2 days, yet this class has been out for 7 months with bugs ignored.

Infact, there are so many glitches that the bugtracker has more items for revenant than it does all other classes combined. And they still don’t list all the bugs I’ve seen. Echoing Erruption turning the rev randomly at casting, Vengeful Hammers (Dwarf utility) getting deleted on slight bumps, Phase Travel (Shiro Utility) getting “no line of sight” on tiny rocks, or when all other blinks can get there, several tooltips needing to be updated and have more information, and revenant still has more bugs.

Revenant has had these same bugs for months now, and nothing has changed, and this rate, nothing ever will. Please join the discussion and raise awareness that revs want these things to be taken seriously.

The rite is not bugged. It just stacks. Protection: 33% Rite: 50%, Rev Hp below 75%: 10%, Frost aura: 10%, Scrapper rune: 7%, Rev over 360 range: 10%, Vengeful hammers: 20%, Bulwark gyro: 50%. There are many other things which will allow a temporary damage reduction of 100% or over.

My discussion comes very late, as anet has undoubtedly decided which servers to merge today, but I will still dish out a few thoughts on this topic. My opinions are formed through my perspective on tier 2, so (bias disclaimer)(bias disclaimer)(bias disclaimer). Also forgive my ignorance of EU wvw.

Server merging should help a number of issues, but the two which come to mind first are population imbalance and dead servers. Now, for the majority of wvw, server merging will do a great job of getting rid of dead servers while increasing the activity of players on said servers.

However, there is an issue with server merging on the most populated servers such as Tarnished Coat. Last reset all maps were queued and EBG had 130 queued. TC can usually maintain a queue for EBG at all hours of the day, and keep in mind that this was BEFORE the wvw patch. Servers being merged into TC will have an awful time because they will have to wait forever in order to try wvw out and large guilds will try to push them out of maps (Read: “Teq is up!” “We lost that fight because half my guild is in queue get off map T7 noobs” etc.)

Merging servers is a great chance at mending the current population imbalances. It would be a real shame to see anet haphazardly throw all tier 8 servers to tier 1 tell us “We gave each one of you the equal amount of dead servers, is the population fixed yet?”. Instead of this, I hope anet methodically plans which server merges and why. There is plenty of statistical data about each server made by the wvw community, but anet could take it a step further and analyze the population and activities of servers. Then, they could combine an activity level 6 FA with an activity level 4 SBI to create an activity level 10 server to pair up against an activity level 10 TC. (These are just examples.) The imbalance was a player-made issue and could easily be remade if anet fixed it, which is why I also believe diminishing rewards should be given to stacked servers to discourage attempts to imbalance the servers once more.

I haven’t tested it in pvp yet, but they have removed the life steal damage to WvW gates. If life steal damage is normalized for PvP that would mean that using life steal will no longer penetrate armor, protection, and most noticeably signet of stone and damage immunity (different from invuln).

Rev does not have utility skills on banner.

When wielding a tactic banner in wvw, the revenant does not have access to any of its utility skills. To my knowledge, this has remained unchanged since the release of the class. I thought the devs were aware of this issue, and perhaps they are and didn’t do anything, but I would like to bring it up since it was not addressed in the major wvw update.

Your responses make me lose any sympathy I have had for DB or FA.

Please keep in mind that the only people who wanted this are the people in TC. I’m mainly talking about the roughly 200 (literally, and that’s a low guess) players who transferred there and the others can’t be held accountable. Just because one person is unapologetic to their enemy doesn’t mean they should be forced to play under stressful, constantly outnumbered fights like DB and FA are.

I completely understand the frustration felt by many pugs and even some guilds on TC. Please know that we feel it here on DB too. Like I said, the only people who wanted this are the kittenter alliance: TW, OnS, CERN, GS and at least 3 other 25+ player guilds. And for what? For fights? They would have ktrained spawn camped us for 2 months if they had their way. They could have stacked on a T1 server if they wanted to win all the time in massive ktrains. No, these sad people are out to destroy moral and pride themselves on it. This is the largest amount of toxic people grouped together and mobilized that I have ever seen on a game. I’m sure there are some good people in these guilds, but they’re part of a guided effort to ruin whatever they possible can and follow sadistic leaders.

Please wait for the april 19th patch. Hopefully that will put an end to TC’s 3 map queues and mega blobs who are there to damage other’s enjoyment. If this is not remedied and you still feel bad for the TC pugs, then maybe we can help find them a smaller server.

That’s the problem with these discussions they all start with erroneous assumptions and the worst one is that people are going to keep advancing after a certain point. Why do people think they will never plateau? Everyone can’t be the best. I haven’t made it out of diamond yet either and if I play anohter 50 matches and don’t make it Im not going to blame some glitch in the system on it.

Sorry to break it to you, but you’re the one making assumptions. Maybe if you were at this level you would see first hand the throws that are in the match ups because legendary players have nothing to lose.

Due to the fact that arena net places me with legendaries, the game really comes down to which team has the legendary who purposefully throws. They have incentive to not play legitimately because they don’t have to climb anymore, and the only reason most of them play is for the daily 3 ranked matches. It is such a bad idea to have an encouragement to not really care as well as being placed with people who are still in diamond. I suggest either acknowledging that the bridge from diamond to legendary isn’t identical to any other “D and D+1” scenarios and therefore keep diamond players with diamond players, or changing the daily 3 ranked matches to daily 2 ranked wins.

EDIT: or finally make a punishment system for when players purposefully throw like in league.

I just lost a match in diamond due to one scrapper’s ability to actually, literally, not die. Despite being a mara strength rune rev running devastation and invocation, I could not for the life of me kill a scrapper soloing our lord (Lord needs a buff to make up for years of power creep, but that’s another post.)

It would seem pretty simple to me that, if I were on the balance team, a profession capable of sitting 2 vs 1 all game and benefiting from it is not acceptable. That would apply to ele as well, but I’m sure anet is already looking into ele’s next nerf, and if they don’t, I’m sure BDO has pvp that is not similar to banging your head against concrete.

Did you happen to get those broken Nvidia drivers when you did the drive update? There was a really bad isssue with the driver they released recently.

Are the current drivers found on their website stable?

Edit: I downloaded my driver on the 4th, and the unstable driver was released on the 8th.

1. Delete Clerics or maybe aurashare in general.
2. Do something about the 10 second moa. Give it more tell if not reduce the duration. (Why does rev and necro elite cc have huuuugee tell but not a horrible 10 second perma kitten bird?)
3. Tone down engi’s never die 2 vs 1 sustain.
4. Buff Foefire lord.
5. Tone down DH cc. 8 cc is too much especially with Dragons maw and lb 5 barriers.

Since the release of the new raid patch, I am constantly suffering from low fps. I typically run 30-50fps on high settings, but now I have 10 fps on high or 16 on lowest. I do not have issues running other games such as Fallout 4 and Black Desert. This is a worsening trend as I would occasionally have 10fps for 6-10 minutes since the quarterly patch. I have tried uninstalling GPU drivers with DDU and reinstalling. I tried updating adobe AIR (heard it helped league players), reinstalling GW2, reinstalling .net framework (incase it was coherentUI running on corrupted framework) and none of it helped the issue.

My friend has this fps issue now but he did not have fps spikes since quarterly patch.

Dear cesspool monster whose idea it was to punish players for disconnecting for 1 minute with auto-loss of a pip, can u go ahead and not. like not.

I am here to rage because this is the second time this month that I have disconnected for a very small amount of time, came back as soon as possible, worked my kitten off to help my team, and then WIN only to lose a pip and get 15 minutes of dishonor. You’re right, demonic nightcrawler clown anet employee, I should infact just not come back to help my team. I should sit there since I had no control over my internet and let my team lose, then maybe I will not be punished, but rewarded. I would also like to be rewarded for purposefully dying to the team 12 times with 2 pips.
