Well, -repair did fix 2 of my toons (guardian and mesmer in LA), but to fix Warrior in HotM, deleting the local.dat inside %appdata%\guild wars 2 folder worked.

I did predict a wave of instability bugs for at least first 2 weeks after the release of the expansion – the players are Anet’s Quality Assurance. Sadly we work for free.

EDIT: Oh wait, now my first 2 toons are broken again…
Now I either get error 7:11:3:191:101 or infinite loading loop.

So yeah, -repair may fix some of your toons and deleting local.dat may fix some other toons while bugging out -repaired toons.

Thank god I did not waste money on bug expansion, would have been very ironic…

Game is unplayable for another week I predict.

Well, did the -repair after last update, I get no DCs anymore. Guess -repair cleared out some malfunctioning code that the last update did not.

After the last update today, I still get kicked out by the server if I’d try to port anywhere else from my current map. Now I’m stuck inside Mad King’s Lab. At least I am allowed to port within the map.

I could select toons, but no matter where I’d try to go: PvE, PvP, WvW, the map loaded up and then the server kicked me out from the game.

Then I tried client’s -repair function. It helped me this much, that now I’m stuck with Mad King’s Lab’s infinite loop of Network error (1083:5:7:1595:101).

This game is unplayable. Does Anet have ANYKIND of QA at all? Otherwise, where is MY payment for being QA?

Well, off to Halloween in Original Guild Wars in the meanwhile.

I have few quarrels with GW2:

1. I need ESC key to Cancel Action. In Original Guild Wars I could bind the menu elsewhere, so ESC would stay purely for Cancel Action. But for some reason, it is not possible to unbind ESC in GW2. So, whenever I whack ESC to Cancel Action, the game menu pops up. And then I have to rage on ESC to close that.
WHY are we not allowed to modify ESC binding?

2. There are forced cutscenes all over the game. If you do stuff like Vinewrath on daily basis, it gets very annoying to whack ESC to end the video. And of course, there are places in the game where video is forced. Why force repetitive videos? It is so frustratingly annoying!
I would like an Option to Deny ALL cutscenes.
I read some player mentioning a special hack to for that, but I couldn’t google anything relevant.

3. Oh, and I bet you know this one. The good old TP UI.
I would like an answer to why in gods name, if I have a long list of items to sell/list in TP, why after every sell/list does the scroll bar return back to top? Or near top half of the times on its own pleasing will?
The UI is behaving like an old phone with that number wheel, but worse. I sell/list, then I need to scroll back to bottom to select the next item, repeat and that’s how you “dial m for migraine” .. or was it murder?
Oh! And why is the item list randomized after the first half?
When we had items in page view, well, pages, but at least it worked. No frustration, nothing sick like this.
Btw, I remember, a month after you presented this new UI, with an update, the scroll bar worked as intended – when it was set down, it remembered to stay at its position. But that luxury lasted for a week only. It got removed with next update. So, this behavior is intentional.
And now we are left with this. Old phone with rotary dial from deepest, darkest, bloodiest hell, where even Satan himself would not dare to go. Really, I dare you to make it any worse. Come on, give it your.. best.. worst?

I don’t just demand answers, I demand this sadism to end.

Character Stops moving randomly

Ah, so this is a bug too. I first thought that the Immobilize condition applied on you is bugged – lasts 10x longer or something. For me dodge doesn’t do anything, since I cannot move from place. I’ll try dancing then. That would explain why I see people dancing randomly, where not necessary. Or maybe they just like to dance randomly…

Hi,

I got DC after I killed the champ on my lane. No VW chest for me. The next day I got DC again after killing the boss on my lane. No VW chest. That’s 2 days in a row. Ok, 1 day went without DC, got my VW chest. BUT today is a special day, the third time I got DC in the same pattern: killed the boss of my lane, got DC, lost VW chest.

AS IF Anet is intentionally kicking me out to prevent me from getting VW chest.

In all cases, I was in middle lane and always in a party, to prevent this kind of issue… nice to see it prevents a jack.

What the hell is this? I demand justice!

It was okay, when I first started doing VW, seems to be some awesome feature from recent patch again I guess.

Decreased movement speed during combat

I’m going to resurrect this topic. Just have to. Maybe there is a better topic, but Google sure couldn’t present it.

Ok, so much I found out that “combat speed” is actually “our real speed”, outside combat speed is “a bonus”. Anet should just display a icon with “you are blessed with exploration speed buff” or something like that. That should fix it.

Even though this punishment is kinda unfair – player is slower than enemies (except for only handful of exceptions) and has always to turn additional speed boost on, since nobody likes to be a snail in a land where enemies have better skills than “the hero”. Might as well consider calling players dirt instead.
Without speed boost in GW2, you’ll be constantly crying “OH GOD NO! Leave me alone kitten it, I’m so tired of you!” Unlike in GW1/Original GW, where MOST opponents were balanced/were using skills that are also available to player and not using custom/exceptional mob only skills 90% of times.

Playing as mesmer, I noticed a lot, that, when using Temporal Curtain, which I have to use a lot, I set it on the ground, some random mob, non-aggrod or neutral walks over it and I get punished with losing my “exploration speed boost”. That’s one example. But due to the duration of “combat mode” (and not really working skill [Temporal Curtain does not fully do what it says, stop arguing, I’m tired of your bs, 2 years old and still unfixed!]) it frustrates to see (a wasted skill and) myself being punished, again and again. Punished.

I played another MMORPG, which also had “combat speed”, but it didn’t display an icon for “exploration buff” sadly either. BUT, what it did have, it had reduced the “combat mode” to very reasonable duration: The combat mode actually lasted while I was in REAL combat. Once out, “combat mode” ended. Unlike in GW2, where it continues for 2 years after combat to make sure player is in mental pain and not having fun. Yeah, that’s what players think of it.

TL:DR, The money is flowing in very well and there is absolutely no opposition on the market stealing away profit, all of this will be ignored, bugs unfixed, player frustration continues, nobody cares. Anet wins. GG Anet.

This makes no sense, you people programmed it, you should know its limits right? Why does the Auto setting give me these settings? Why won’t the game then at least automatically adjust the graphics if zerg present?

When I first started playing GW2, it was awesome… to have DC or CTD after every 30 minutes.
Do you know what EMET is? One of those GW2’s CTDs is actually very dangerous to PC. “buffer overflow”, I think. GW2 managed to destroy my friend’s PC. Luckily I have my GW2 under the eye of EMET.

So I got kittened off. What kind of game is this, that doesn’t run on modern hardware, that cost me 1000€ to put together. A game not worth.
I started to change GFX settings one by one, every day, trying to figure out what makes me crash, what not.
For myself I found this out:
Textures above Low = DC/CTD
Character Model Quality above Lowest = DC/CTD
The rest of the settings do not matter, can have them on/off or maxed. It’s just those 2 that are fatal to GW2. Cannot have those 2 above minimum.

This game is rushed and dangerous. Malware. I have never seen so poor programming.

Ahh! Thanks for pointing that (link) out. I kept wondering why my Mesmer skills are so useless. Some of this, finally, thankfully, is actually going to be fixed in September’s big update.

Swiftness Duration Stack Bug?

Mesmer’s Temporal Curtain Swiftness stacking issue is a bug. A year has passed, or more, and Anet still HAS NOT updated Temporal Curtain’s description to actually say that Swiftness from it DOES NOT stack if you already have Swiftness.
This is so lame – other professions have working perma speed boosts and Mesmers get mocked with a broken skill.

Today it seems to have decreased a lot. First I got to play 3h 20min, then 2h 40min and now 2h 18min.
Stacking bug (causing hardware damage?) due to bad programming?
Or server side issue (bad ping, not in the boundaries of recommended?) and client lacks error correction?

This is preposterous! I have this crash, just like others, 500 billion times per day too. And it all seemed to start after ONE specific update. It started on 08.12.14!
It kittenes me so off! Thanks to this new “feature” of yours, this game is now absolutely unplayable! I wish this game at least had some sort of fast crash recovery to get back into game fast.

This happens anywhere, anytime, absolutely random.

System specs:
Intel i7 2600K
Sapphire Radeon DUAL-X R9 270x 4GB
Windows 7 SP1 x64
16GB 1333Mhz RAM
All on stock settings, no OC

Added the log file.

Oh well, luckily I still have GW1…
