Guild Wars 2

I just got a new laptop and it came with Windows 8 on it already. I downloaded the installer for GW2 and it starts up fine and then restarts and exits showing nothing on the screen. Now the installer is still open, but I don’t see it at all, it’s just not showing. In task manager it’s using a LOT of the cpu and showing like it’s still running.

is something not working right?

ahhh ok thanks. I was literally about to go to sleep when I was thinking about this and thought it would be easier to ask in the forum and sleep then load the game up again lol

If I lets say buy the pirate town clothing, would I be able to transmute it to my armor? So that my armor can look like it? or is that not possible.

I say this because I like the look of the pirate chest because its not so baggy and isn’t a skirt.

I can confirm that I me and another member of our guild, successfully joined a dungeon with a party from another server. While both of us were NOT on overflow.

Until guesting is available, you’ll have to make do with trying to get on overflow if u want to party in the main open world. I know it sucks, but if you really want to badly, switch servers temporarily. its free, and u can always switch back before they make it cost something.

Essentially, if your not 80, don’t worry about what gear u get as long as u keep getting gear that is better than what you currently have armor wise. When you get 80 you have multiple options in getting higher stated gear.

1. Crafting
2. Dungeons
3. High level Karma gear (not the normal vendors, the ones only in the Orr Temples)
4. Chests for World Events

Now I’m not sure if there are any other ways, and if the Orr Temple gear is still even with the top level gear. Just know that there is no “one way” to get the best gear in the game. All of these ways give you the highest rated gear. But, you shouldn’t just be focusing on getting the higher stated gear, while you can still hunt for gear that you think looks awesome that you want to transmute.

All of this stuff is meaningless in a “time table” because its however long or short you want to do it and in whatever order you want. Apart from the higher level content, anything that’s open at your level is completely viable to explore/do. Drops scale with your level so its worthwhile to go everywhere.

Also, while gear is very good to get, its not 100% absolutely required to do any dungeon. So don’t worry about not having super awesome top tier gear.

It’s basically a good leveling up build, but for dungeons etc. its not very good. Your kittening your party a LOT in favor of 100 blades which many high level up mobs can just stun u or interrupt.
