People need to stop crying over Thieves. I’m 80 and it’s my main character. Make one and try to do anything else than PVP or WvW right now. Most people who actually make one understand that you are more fragile than a elementalist and you have a hard time on the dps side for dungeons.
Not happy with a class, just reroll like I had to do with my Necro.

It’s fine that you love the game, but when all topics are moving in the same direction it means that A LOT of players are not happy with the recent changes. It’s just not the normal QQers who are saying that this is OP or some other random things they love to cry about.

I like the game too, but they need to make less changes. As soon as something is profitable it gets destroyed. They crafting exploit was a real problem. 25 silvers every 45 mins, wasnt. And god I would never do the same dongeon more than 4-5 times in a row, it’s just not fun. But because some HARDCORE players went ahead to farm it until if got nerfed, we all have to pay the price. No mobs grinding, no event grinding no dongeons grinding… But go ahead and grind those 1300 badges you need for you armor. Or maybe 120 golds for you Tier 3?

Every piece of credibility your post could have was lost when you compared Guild Wars with League of Legends. Really they are so disconnected to each other that I think you were just trolling and in no way interested on posting something meaningful.

No game will be good enough for everyone.

No, they didn’t lie about a single thing. I followed A.Net development of GW2 since it’s first days and I’m playing exactly the game I was expecting. If you are not, then your expectations were way off and that is your problem and fault.

My problem is with people who think the developers should change the whole game to meet the players’ expectations. Actually, sorry, let me correct myself: to meet their own expectations. Like something that took years to develop was that easy to change, anyways. My problem is with this kind of gamer who think they deserve everything their way and feel entitled to come here on the forums to make demands for it.

It is really this simple: if you really disliked this game, just go play something else. That is what I did with almost every other mmo out there. I’ve played them all, with a few exceptions. You name it, I’ve played it. And I’m sure you will never or have ever seen any post of mine complaining about core features and mechanics of any of them, and still I paid the same money everyone else did.

Ask for minor adjustments, fine… I won’t be a fanboy saying this game is perfect. No it has flaws, and its ok, nothing is perfect. An MMO is an ever evolving kind of game. If you played any other MMO before you would know this by now.

I’m just tired of people turning this forum on a “I was expecting this! Why A.Net? Why didn’t you make MY own private and personal dream of a game come true. Why???” mural.

Can we move past this?

I’m not gonna join more than 1 guild. It’s not a flea market, it’s suppose to be a guild where you help each other and talk of fun stuff while having fun.

No drops, low rewards, hard in a stupid way (kitting for 5 min is not my idea of fun and the new CC of some NPCs like the barrel throwing is just ridiculous)

I’ll see what I can do with my trade skills, but I’m sure if we start using them to get gold, they will nerf it lol.

Inflicting changes based on the minority,
I mean I’m sure it was not 100% of people who were running CM over and over for money and the action they took for it was way overkill.

Anyways, I’ll stick to WvW and I’m not gonna buy a single gem until I feel the game is getting back on track.

I agree that no one should be all gear-up in a week, I like when we do things often and get some other rewards here and there while you are working on you full armor and weapon set.

I do not understand that we have so much need of golds while at the same time no real way of making profits from Dungeons, TP or even farming mobs, events.

At the end of the day, I only want to do WvW for the fun of it. The rest is just a big mess right now. My Tier 3 needs 120+ golds, no idea where and how I’ll get that much unless they change how the game works.

I don’t know, do you know how ridiculously easy it was to skill up trade skills? If you didn’t want to buy fine material on the TP it was typically very mild level of farming to get to 400. You can then go across the high level zones and farm the resources quite easily. I just made an exotic bow from basically logging in every few hours in Frostgorge, gathering some resources and doing Jormag.

I could quite easily farm up the resources i need for my exotic armour, or I could pretty much just buy the components that will likely take the longest time to acquire, ie the ecto and get the money to pay for that from stuff I have no problems acquiring in vast quantities, like ore, wood and various T6 fine resources.

I think getting gear is pretty straight forward outside of dungeons. If people want to rush through it, then let them rush through it. Anyone trying to speed through the game is going to be long gone, one guy we know who speeds through MMOs and has no longevity is already gone from GW2.

You should never inflict changes on the majority based on how the minority operate.

I like challenges but don’t like activities that are not fun. GW2 dungeons are not fun and I just wont be doing them other than forcing my way through each one once to have a look at it.

I like WvW so I have something to occupy my time with besides doing events, farming and crafting and seeing the world. But, if I run out of fun things to do then the game goes back on the shelf.

People are going to get the gear they desperately want, if activities are not fun then they will stop doing them once they have what they need, if they run out of fun things to do then the game is done for them. I would hate if Anet were making decisions to try and slow people down, it doesn’t work and is a poor way to keep people interested.

If the experience was fun I wouldn’t care if there was no reward. Given how they designed characters and what they can deal with, the mechanics for dungeons are not fun to me and not fun to a lot of people I know in our guild and we have come from many MMOs, raided the hardest content there was.

To me dungeons feel like console type games, which lack substance and have twitchy gameplay mechanics as the only real challenge level, because they are so limited in scope and scale. GW2 with all it’s advances should have come up with something better imo.

Can we move past this?

Even if you wanna farm dungeons you still can. Just do different dungeons instead of the same one over and over and over. The DR resets after 30 minutes. Just go run HotW and come back or something.

It’s not the point.
Smaller guilds are not able to run ALL the dungeons yet. And they have trouble affording the repairs and people are getting discouraged of attempting harder dongeons. When I try to get a PUG even now, most people are avoiding dongeons now and unless we can get a solid income of golds, they won’t go back to a dongeon if they wipe 5 times in it.

Remove the repair cost and the teleportation fees and maybe people will do them again.

This isn’t a gear treadmill MMO. You do not have to grind for the prettiest armor lest you be destroyed in PvP later. It has the same stats as TP or crafted armor.

The “grind” is completely optional in this game. In other games, it is not. That is the difference. If you don’t want to grind, you do not have to grind just to keep up with people who do grind.

If you don’t want to run the instance 50 times because you want pretty armor, then don’t run the instance 50 times for pretty armor. Your stats in PvP (and even in other instances) will not be affected in the least.

Dongeons are have a diminishing return,
Farming mobs have a diminishing return,
Farming quests… how yeah, they are not repeatable,
Farming Events Have been nerfed and capped
TP isnt helping very much
No trade between players

Teleports need money,
Repairs need money,
Upgrades, tools need money,
stuff you want to get (like a Tier 3 armor) need like 120+ golds.

I just want to be able to do like 1.5 to 3 golds a day while doing stuff that is fun.

Can we move past this?

No I won’t until I can at least get 1-3 golds a day.
It’s just stupid to pay for the teleport then pay for the repairs and then pay pay pay.

Seriously, I’m not rich, I won’t buy 200 golds so I can get my tier 3 and enough cash for enjoying the repairs cost.

My Tier 3 armor cost more than 120 golds, no weapon included.
Not gonna do this by farming 1 gold everyday.

3-4 golds a day? Sure I’ll do it.

Maybe we just don’t know how to get money right now, but it needs to be balanced.

Aezion, it’s really the general feeling of the game right now.
GW2 is a superb game but it most of the recent changes are adding flaws instead of real fixes.

While I know that other MMOs had similar problems at some point, it just feels like they don’t have any real idea of the impact on things they changes/add or remove.
And the total silence on the board is anything but friendly to their customers.
It’s a new game, I have lot’s of hopes for this game and I just hope they will get back on track by not adjusting everything every week (which is almost a nerf to a certain farming zone)

We’ll see. Maybe I’ll go buy Borderlands 2 while they get their stuff together.

In all honesty, I can understand they don’t want people farming CM in mass, but seriously… If they wanted every one to do the dungeons as End Game Content, or they require all rares and at least level 60, they should be set to level 60. Not level 30, 40, 50, ect.

I’m not assuming anything,
The proofs are in the game and the recent changes are most of the time on what people were crying about, dungeons rewars, xp, some skills for a few prof.
If you read the forums often like I do, you will see what is the next thing the game will change because of a few pro QQers.

It’s about balance and one thing I know is that you can never balance anything by listening to people who cry on a certain build or just out of jalousy.
And the game doesnt have to be set for guildies only, we don’t have the same amount of time to invest in a game.

Please stop trying to change everything for people who are QQing

If you see 20 people on the forums crying that the hammer sucks, it doesnt mean it does.
If you see 20 people saying that a particular dungeon is too easy to farm, it doesnt mean everyone want the same look or gear.
If you see 20 people crying that a certain prof is OP or a certain skill is too easy to spam, maybe they just need to reroll and stop being jalous.

All the recent changes added more frustration due to bugs, broken events and Npcs instead of creating a balance.

Oh and seriously guys, just go do a run of CM story mode now, it’s so freaking funny to see all the CC that the NPCs can pull out now. Do it with guildies, PUGs are not so fun anymore XD

Have a target, problem solved.

Its a AOE move, I don’t need to jump on my target, I use it to hit enemies all around me not as a Smashing move like our #3

Mighty blow works like heart seaker now? Hell yes! Didn’t it stop you from moving befor, if so then indeed a good change. You’ll just have to time it carefully/watch your positioning if your worried about falling off a cliff.

You’ll see why it’s not a good thing when you run lots of Dungeons.
But it should be an option with a Rune offering either that you move or not.

Mighty Blow is worse right now since you leap in all direction. When in teams you are trying to hit most of the mobs at the same time (So I can do AoE and pull aggro on me) and I keep jumping left and right instead of staying in the center like I used to. I often hit just half of the mobs instead and I get too close from dangerous bosses instead of staying far enough to easily get out of their attacks. Please change it back or maybe offer a Rune that converts it to its present state since some people like it for PVP. Thank you and I love my guardian!
