To clarify: $50 is the price of the expansion. We included the core game as a free bonus to make it easier for new players to get into it.
I see like it’s the other way around: $50 is the price of the game, and you included the expansion as a free bonus. It’s a great deal for new players, but only for them.
If they aren’t going to listen to us, we may need a different approach than just posting here on their forums and sending them support tickets.
Let’s boycott them, no one with the Lag issue buys a single Gem from now on (that is, if you’re still buying Gems even when you cannot play the game)!
Go to the social stuff (facebook, twitter, instagram, anything really) and say that you can’t play a game you’ve paid for because of a problem you cannot solve! Use some kind of harshtag like: #fixtheservers
Let’s show ArenaNet and NcSoft the power of Latin America, spread the message, ask your friends to do this too, doesn’t matter if it’s not in English, just post the tag so we can all unite under the same cause.
If this doesn’t work, it’ll just mean that the people with lag are not that many really.
and no 1 million “likes” for them on facebook
unlike
#fixtheservers
list updated
let’s hope tomorrow’s patch fixes the lag. it could go the same it appeared, silently.
if not we will keep posting and submitting tickets.
tell your guildies to do the same.
List updated.
Some ISPs have a huge portion or maybe every single player affected by LAG
I don’t think that it happens with others, (like USA) or else there would be people with torches in front of Anet offices.
Mine’s America/Texas : At&t, not sure if this is one of them, but I’ve been getting problems from the patch at first they were minor but for the past couple of days it’s been unplayable.
It started with last patch? Happens only to GW2? Other games should be fine.
Every player from those brazilian ISPs listed here is lagging. Only one ISP from Brazil seems to be unaffected (GVT)
If all users from AT&T were affected we would see a lot (more) players complaining. And it would propably be resolved by now.
But don’t forget to submit a ticket, provide them the Game Advisor and Ping Plotter files (if needed)
If you get the same response we got, it’s an ISP issue, come back here and we will add your ISP to the list.
And I’d like to see a user from the ISPs listed here that doesn’t have any issues.
I will try to keep this list updated.
According to ArenaNet we have problems with our Internet Service Providers. The routes became problematic and we are suffering from packet loss. This is happening with Guild Wars 2 only, and started after last patch, but somehow it’s our ISP fault.
If you are having lag issues tell us your country and ISP.
And if you are using an ISP from the list and don’t have any lag show us the magic
(edited by Dannz.2490)
yes, gathered from this topic and others.
lag problems since last patch.

join the party, add your ISP if it’s not on the list.
Here is a list of ISPs and locations suffering from lag since the last patch
it’s from the Latin America lag issues topic.

Anet gave me a solution: paid proxy/tunneling systems
yeah, that’s pathetic
it’s not their fault, all of sudden a huge number of ISPs from Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, German, UK and others are the responsible for the lag.
Anet doesn’t seem to bother about this, it’s a huge problem, affecting a lot of players but they keep saying we need to submit individual tickets and get the same responses.
here is a list of locations, ISPs that i gathered:
(edited by Dannz.2490)
same here, ping plotter from 6am (GMT-3)
packet loss is there but the game is completely playable without any lag or skill delays. (PvE)
multiple ISPs having the same issue with Anet servers only.
I play games from other regions, NA, EU and even SEA and they are fine
I’d suggest to Anet to change their ISP too.
Got the same response. Packet loss, “the server is always right” and “loss of data is happening prior to it reaching our game servers, you will need to contact your Internet Service Provider for assistance”
It’s not my ISP as the loss of data is happening outside my ISP.
10-30% loss at ip.att.net (not my ISP)
and 40%-100% loss when it reaches 64.25.32 range (Anet servers)
as it is happening ONLY WITH GW2, from different countries (Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Argentina and even UK) and different ISPs within the same country. I think Anet needs to check it as it is affecting its customers!
i see 4 options for us.
1. wait to see if the problem solves itself the same way it just appeared
2. play on calm hours (after 1am here aprox)
3. use a vpn/tunnel service
4. move on from GW2

I’m using Ajato (Vivo, SP) and have the same lag issues.

GA= Game Advisor, a tool used to diagnostics.

Same problem here (Brazil/SP)
Today the game became almost unplayable
I’ve been playing since beta and never had any lag.
