What if they made it where it was done by team color instead of server. Then they could use the same system for filling pve maps to fill wvw maps and there could be multiple instances of each map. Of course you would need to be able to enter a map as a squad and be locked to your color for a certain amount of time. Maybe even rewards (Ascended) for the longer you kept your color. Of course I have no idea how you would do scoring or how you would keep population balanced.
Please add first person view. I really miss it from other mmos.
All this great artwork and my character is in the way all the time… Then in some tight areas, jumping puzzles, the view and clipping become a problem. I’ve seen videos of mods that add 1st person view so I know it’s possible. Really don’t care if animations or weapons show just want to be able to look around, take screenshots, and record.
Also looking to the future how awesome could GW2 be with Oculus Rift VR Goggles. Head tracking doesn’t function right without 1st person view. This means your able to use them in GW1 and WoW to their full potential but not in GW2.

I know y’all have a lot going on and for some reason you don’t want us to have that vantage point but please reconsider and give us the option to use 1st person view if we want.
Yea it’s funny a raid now has to be10 people in an instance because that’s how wow does it now.
The term raid to me suggest a lot of people attacking something, doesn’t really matter where or how many buttons are involved. In Everquest I remember the top 3 guilds on my server teaming up to kill a god. Thier was around 100 of us, we wiped multiple times, you couldn’t see anything in all the lag. I spammed my 5 necro pacts on main tank whole time, while pet attacked boss. Seemed more like a raid to me with a massive army fighting a boss out in the world way cooler than a 10man instance.
After being killed some bosses would stay dead for weeks in Everquest. Wow wanted to fix the lag problem and the waitting for bosses to respawn problem. So they made 40mans in instances. Later they decided 40 people was to hard to cordinate so they downsized it to a small group.
I think the main reason people don’t see guild wars 2 world bosses as raids is the difficulty. I would even say some bosses need to be so hard their almost impossible to beat. Gives people something to strive for. Something to try as they get better.
I think resist gateing is better than straight stats but I was kind of hoping we were done with locking content behind gates. I mean changing out resist for each place you go, grinding resist just doesn’t sound fun. Just seems to go against everything they claimed. Let’s all go here, oh wait you don’t have inferno resist. Well let’s go here, oh wait I don’t have chaos resist. Well let’s not go anywhere and grind resist FUN!!! I just can’t believe they are caveing so fast. Best mmo to come out in awhile and their ready to throw out all originality for the vocal minority you can’t plz, that destroy every game.
Here are some of the things I do… I usually complete a city the first time I come to it. Complete any story quest I can. Complete the zone I’m in. I don’t like crafting, but I still collect resources as I run into them.
Also, most random events you run into that aren’t at hearts lead to event chains. Follow the talking npcs and listen to what they say after the event ends. There has been many times everyone ran off thinking the event was over when really you had to follow the npc to the more epic next phase of the event. Seen some really cool events out hidden away.
If I find myself underleved I will either go search for hidden events, port to another city to get xp from exploring it, or wvwvw until I get a good lead.
Yes there is a chance you will be able to transfer when less people are on. The full server I’m on I had to wait until late night/early morning for the option to pop up. I would say try a few times when you think population is down and worst case relocate. Nothing beats playing with friends.
I hear you can make a support ticket and choose refund as the reason.
I have a Logitech t650 touch pad for windows 8 and a 48in monitor works pretty good. I’m sure it’s nice on a touchscreen though. I haven’t had any problems with gw2 and windows 8. Only problem I ran into is windows 8 media center works horribly, and it streams to extenders in horrible quality.
