Guild Wars 2

I think we forget that what made Guild Wars 1 such an amazing game was the complexity. And complexity can be a good thing. I can remember when I met my first MM enemy which where 2 or 3 people comiting suicide before the match started by self damaging skills so the other necros could create a kitten load of minions. Then after the 1 minute “prepare for match” where over they would rush lord and kill it in a mather of seconds. And that exact reason was where I loved Guild Wars 1 pvp for. Maybe it was not an E sport. But it was extreamly compedetive. I dont see why Guild Wars 2 has to become an esport, that does not mean it can’t be extreamly fun to watch and extream compedetive . It was just so much fun seeing new builds all the time till they got nerved, then people would go think about other ways to win, which was a part of the fun. For example spirit bomb, who remembers that one? 1 guy had a bit more hp then the rest of his party his entire party would die when the enemy team was getting lose and you got a chain reaction that wiped out the entire map, except this one player cause he had a bit more HP.

Ty, so a lot of people just play there own builds or hybrids ?

I am just wondering with this meta website and tournaments/seasons comming 1st of December. Does Meta mean “must play” since when I watched the ESL it seemed that all the meta classes had the same build? I am not expecting to be pro or anything, but I like to compete what I smell here is, people are forced to play 1 of the 6 meta builds or else your team will complain when you go solo Q, just as in League of Legends and other PvP games. I was wondering, how many of you play with your own build and how many will play one of the meta builds in seasons?

This is the score… I get it some servers are way better then others but seriously? There is no fun getting matched like this we have not even the chance to get out of our base most of the time. I came from FoW server cause there was no WvW on there (hints why they are always matched with the lowest 3) and the only server I had a chance to join that was not in an other language was GH. Its an amazing server met amazing people on there and we do have the will to improve and we got a nice community. But the past weeks we got matched against people with way more organization and also a way more people. We are constantly out matched (people + skill wise) and that buff when you are out matched giving you more xp etc its useless give us a 50% damage boost or something then at least we got some kind of chance, but whats the point in giving xp if you can barly get out of your base? At peak time we actually do pretty good but that is only for 3-4 hours a day. after that we are pretty much screwed and I go back to sPvP. We keep getting promised that they will put there focus improving WvW and its there main focus after HoT release, but right now its all sPvP and Raid improvements, where is this promised “MAIN FOCUS” on WvW? Its even in the sticky!

What has better loot? Or can you also get pretty cool stuff from WvW? Some how it feels like sPvP has a stable loot income. I enjoy both beside my few hours of PvE a day but I am just wondering, can you get expensive items from WvW? Once in sPvP I got a bag with a exotic item that I sold for like 90 gold

The solution for the problem that people are forced to join a guild is to make an option for a lone wolf to be a mercenary for a certain Alliance without joining them. They can choose for who they fight every week when the round resets. Alliances will gain currency for holding objectives like castes which they can pay mercenaries with. And they can spent this on items and other loot. Problem solved

I read in a post on the GW2 website they are working on a rework for WvW. did they mean the HoT expansion is the Rework or are they actually going to fix it? Cause I used to be on FoW server which is a medium pop server and no one would WvW and eventually I forked up money to trensfer to an other server, sadly the highest populated server that was not full has barly any WvW going on either even they are in the top 15… I am in GW2 mainly for the PvP and I tottaly love sPvP even some people complain a lot about it. But why would I even care about the loot I get from it if I wont be able to uise it in WvW? I love the fact we can get tomes and lvl to 80 purly by sPvP and that we get mats and dungeon curency, but as a hardcore PvP player there is no use for those items if I cant use them.

This is what people keep telling me in sPvP. Every round I win people complain and say its to over powered. Some one even said “They disabled Ranked sPvP” Cause they have to reword the Revenant Class. While from my understanding Seasons start 1 December cause of different reasons. So is Revenant really this "Over powered? Or should people just stop complaining? I agree that with the build I am running I take most people down pretty easly, but its also because they have no clue how to counter it since the class is new. But when I play against some one with experience I do have a hard time and some times get my kitten handed to me.

Why don’t they just make WvWvW servers and people select which PvP server they join? Which means less servers, but more stable population

I am on a dead server (WvWvW wise) There are 0 people playing at my time which is mostly at nights and I mean literally 0.
The other worlds took over everything and I got no one to defend/Attack with. For me WvWvW is the main thing I got into Guild Wars 2 again. I was thinking going to an other server, but all the servers that are active with WvWvW are full and I can not join them. The rest are all medium population, and I am not going to spend money AGAIN to get in the same situation. Last time I quit GW2 was cause our World had to fight agaist a server with 2 hackers who kept teleporting or bug abusing. Where does it end? I tottally love Guild Wars 2, You say why don’t you play structured? Wel I am extream shy and don’t feel like people shouting in my mic. So I am thinking of quiting again, is there any solution? Are they working on a fix for this problem? For example merging low WvWvW pop servers into 1 big one so they can compete with the higher T;s :/

Let me guess they al went home cause its late. Now we can atleast wait till tomorrow T_T And I’ve heard stories about people waiting for months! Did anyone try asking for a refund and then rebuy the game?

Update. I just got a email with my payment information. I did not ask for it cause they already sent it to me. But in this email there is still no serial key. -.-

I have no clue, it seems easier to just refund people so they can buy it again. I would buy it again. I mean bugs happen in payment systems, and I really like Guild Wars since the original released so I will buy it. But maybe they are working on it and they can give al of us the key we should have had with the press on a button which would be a way easier.

I did get a response. They said they are working on a fix for the issue, but have non at the moment :/

I think what you may have to do is make your own armour with the stats you like and then use a tansmution stone to thingy majiggy the armours together so you get the stats your want with the look you want.

I have a build in sPvP I wan’t to try to create in PvE/WvW… But all the dungeon armors have 3 stats that are totaly useless to me! Is there a way to change those 3 stats? I know you can choose your own runes. Beside that I did hear somewhere you can buy karma armor for like 16k karma a peace? Where can I find those ?
