do thief’s have infinite dodges? after seeing how effective it was i am surprised theirs not more like this guy. he did nothing but kill people by dodging i never seen anything like it. spikes would shoot out with every dodge. every now and again he would do that spinning skill but he only did thoughs two things and he was killing everyone. even though he killed me a few times it was fun to watch. maybe he was just one skilling everyone if you dont count a dodge has a skill. i just found it odd that someone would use a dodge has there main killing move…..after some have said they do not have infinite dodges. i did some research and found this by the way this is how he was killing only difference he was more skilled at it then this person. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AI1k88k3PZY

Like stated by others, thiefs dont have infinite dodgerolls in a row. But if you time your dodges well it could appear as it was so. I’ve played high evasive builds since release and it is a very funny playstyle The thief in the video you posted uses the superior sigill of stamina: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Superior_Sigil_of_Stamina
I use that on several chars in pve.

The change could only be applied on server-side. I had the same impression a week back – it was wrong.

Thank you very much for your consolidation work.

I must say, I am very sad and disappointed to read, match making won’t change in season 2. That really crushed the last bit of hope I had, that there will be at least one or two weeks of enjoyable pvping.
Also nothing were sad about destroyed MMR due to extensive loss streaks.

I also didn’t find a way to put a TP in our guild hall. Which is a pity. Anyone else?

Hi folks,

i hope someone can answer my question…

I saw several Guild Enhancements in the wiki like the following examples:

Exp

  • A consumable buff obtained from Nathan the Bartender that increases experience gain by 4% for 24 hours. Does not stack with the Karma Boost Enhancement.

Map-Bonus

  • Add a personal enhancement at the tavern that increases how often you get map bonuses.

What are those upgrades? One time use items? That would be quite expensive. I’m not able to figure out whether or not the costs are worth it.

I wish to bump those questions, regarding the upcoming changes of 9/9. Is there any hope on getting the mentioned errors fixed?

For the sake of WvsW I’d love to see the 1200 ranged ClusterBomb revived in all thieves hands…

Death Blossom should scale better with power

As a condition thief I absolutely love DD and DeathBlossom the way it is. DD-Auto attack gives poison +(trait based) weakness for longer duration. More initiative keeps me spamming bleedings as an AoE-field. Additionally it utilizes strong evasion mechanics to stay near your enemies without being damaged too hard. Since the last update it is possible to stack 25 bleeds through death blossom and caltrops. AND heartseeker does deal a huge amount of damage in spite of my condition build.

Of course Death Blossom could deal more damage (thats always nice ) but in my opinion it is strong enough the way it is.

Thoughts on Ascended Gear? [Merged threads]

And many people thought removing refund points in the original GW would take away a sense of progression and permanency for your character. And people thought green weapons would make golds worthless. And keys would only benefited the rich. And Vabbian armor was unreasonably expensive. And Kurzick skills were better than Luxon skills and it wasn’t fair. And “Wtf is this Codex bullkitten? It will ruin EVERYTHING!”

…Then the game went on to be profitable and self-sustaining for over half a decade and crossed seven million box sales. Every time anything changes, people freak out and you know what happens later? Most players end up finding the merit in the change, and it’s not as bad as anyone expected. It’s time to give it a little break people.

This change does not indicate the game and all future updates switching to vertical progression FOR ALWAYS! The sky isn’t falling. Voicing a concern in a rational and reasonable way is MUCH different than what has gone on in this thread for thousands of posts.

I’ve played Guild Wars 1 since Beta with only a half year off time. And in all that time I never complained about those minor design changes you mentioned. I was a bit suspicios what the removal of refund points would do to gameplay. But I was happy to see it brought more build diversity (which you always had as PvP player).

BUT this change is going to change the manifest the Guild Wars franchise stands for. And that with such naive methods… It is simply unbelievable!

The real sad sing is, that I’ve never read about a fact mentioned in this thread, which would have been dealbreaking vor me:

Higher character level need higher item level. And there is no maybe or any other hint that an increase of the character level will not come. So ascended gear is just the tiny snowflake tip of the iceberg?
