Lol Spartan I’ve been waiting for an A-net response to this since release.
Is there any talk of setting supply to 0 when entering another WvW map? We’re all used to getting 15 before the new game starts and etc and that’s accepted as part of the game. That doesn’t really bother me.
What does get on my nerves is holding down a map despite the break out event and whatever other attempts an enemy makes and then BOOM hidden in their spawn 12 golems insta-port to your keep and despite the server’s best efforts your fully upgraded keeps melt. They never had a camp on the map for HOURS, and now here they are with a 1200 supply value army of golems.
Anyone else see this as a problem or is this just intended?

Please leave WvW alone content wise. Just fix bugs, free server Xfers, and culling please…
Other players are the change in content week to week, we don’t need fort taking NPC’s out there
I have to be honest. I really can’t understand why people even bother transferring for WvW. I mean, what’s the point?
You go to a higher tier, then what? People/servers gain absolutely nothing being in a higher tier. And I do mean -absolutely nothing-. There is literally nothing to accomplish or “win” in WvW. There’s no ranks, no rewards, nothing.Anyway, at this point, I’m going to be really surprised if they remove free transfers at all. They just need to make it so you can only transfer to lower populated servers, and stop letting people swarm/crowd to the upper ones.
About the ‘gains’ I play my game to play my game. I enjoy PLAYING the game, I don’t need to be given gear, or money, or anything. I just want to play my game. So the gain for a few people or a small guild transfering is a fun game. I don’t need an in game item to tell me I had fun when my guild gets screen shots and stories and a good fight.

I don’t want this to be a discussion of the validity of the event, but merely a plea for support of a poll determining if the content will stay or go.
So, what about all the other players who don’t play WvW, but just want to transfer servers to be with their friends, a guild they found on the forums, or because they just don’t like their server? They’re not allowed to transfer now because WvW players also transfer? You can’t punish everyone because some people are dishonourable. It’s like removing WvW from the game because there are some people who exploit bugs in it.
And saying that you moved servers because other people moved makes you just as bad as the people you claim to dislike, and it makes you a hypocrite.
Stated I moved to be open about it. WvW died on my server, it was down to my guild and 2 others and was tired of feeling like I had to be up 24 hrs a day to hold what we owned. My guild tried, it worked, for one day, then we were to wiped to do it again XP
My guild had been there over 3 months and loved it but when 80% of the wvw population leaves it’s a problem. The difference is PvE content is the same no matter what server you go to. If a group of friends by the game and don’t decide to be on the same server, well they weren’t very good friends XP. As for transfering to join a guild that’s fine, give everyone 2 or 3 transfers so at least there is hope for WvW.
When a mass group leaves or joins WvW it CAN completely imbalance a whole weeks worth (or more) of gameplay for WvWers is all I am saying. For those that enjoy WvW it is a clear detriment, where PvE enjoyment shouldn’t require you change servers every other week.
Please do us the kindness of a 2 week poll on the break out event to determine whether or not it will stay.
Please let the players decide.

Kills WvW too much. A good match up turns into ‘oh a 400 member W3 alliance just joined the enemy server.’
At least just give a set number of transfers for free like 2 or 3. I have moved myself I can’t lie but it is because my own server died due to xfers after losing to servers that got huge alliances. Just a very toxic environment.

Thoughts, feelings, predictions of the endtimes of WvW?
I personally am very afraid of radical changes to the system that seems so perfect as it was. NPC intrusion that requires ZERO work to activate scares me ALOT. It’s intentions are noble but as we are already seeing 60+ enemies joining a map suddenly, their spawn tower to be abandoned before you even own it, and the loss of map control.
Without the map control that tower afforded your map is now forever wide up to striking. I guess now we will actually need to spawn camp with lines of ballistas.
Probably over reacting but I don’t look forward to what this event does. Maybe if it only worked with 15 or less people but then guild’s would just send in a small group to activate and then come right in.
For fear of them mucking up the beautiful thing that is Wv3 I would rather have them change nothing outside of culling, bugs, and exploitable terrain.
They start adding gear then stats are on it and it becomes a grind fest. Doesn’t everyone just enjoy actually PLAYING the game? I love playing wvw, not farming or grinding for wvw.
Cosmetics are kind of a cool idea but once you open that gate of WvW gear I’m too afraid of what it might turn into.

My guildies and I are looking for a server that has a stable population throughout the day but has a gap that needs filling around 6 or 7pm est to 11-midnight. We want a tough fight and the chance to make a difference but can’t carry the entire server on our back either.

Hello Jayekaiser! My in game name is Marvy, I am one of 3 leaders of Redmist Warband [War] on NSP.
We began as a WvW guild and still focus on it but our current line up is Friday, Sunday, and tuesday 7pm est are planned WvW nights. Wednesday and Thursday 6pm est and later are dungeon nights. Hoping to get a lil’ sPvP soon but not official yet.
We have a weekly guild raffle, 512 man ts3 server, and a website : Redmist-warband.enjin.com
We don’t require a schedule and there is no punishment for being unable to attend events. We are just trying to have fun but also be organized. I would describe us as laid back, fun loving, but pretty serious about WvW. We have about 60 really active members but our online numbers usualyl range 20 at low times to 40 at peak.

Bump for a good guild looking to help out the NSP community with WvW and more.
Redmist Warband [War] is a 220+ member WvW guild based on the belief that all players should be offered respect and the only way to flourish in WvW is together. That isn’t just together as a guild, but also as a server. To build this unity we encourage open communication, are happy to teach what we know, and remain eager to listen to what others have to say.
We understand people have lives to live but may want to play well organized WvW when they can without being yelled at or feeling like they enlisted in the military. We consider ourselves to be a friendly and semi-hardcore community that takes part in enjoyable and satisfying WvW events. We also run dungeons and sPvP for gear & fun but our primary passion remains WvW and we expect the same of our members.
We tend to avoid being a ‘zerg it’ guild. We prefer to use communication and coordinate to achieve great things. We often have separate squads working on defense, guerilla tactics, large assaults, and scouting simultaneously. This gives us eyes all over the map that relay trust worthy information that enables us to react to enemy movements and spot advantages in the field, advantages we like to pounce on.
We are looking for avid WvWers that remain approachable, friendly, light-hearted, and enjoy being part of a community. While we are quite serious about WvW when it comes down to it GW2 is a game, and a game is always more enjoyable with a bunch of good friends.

Also Rich that sounds great, we do like our members to be active but we don’t have any issues with a specific number of hours at this time. Only ask if you are going to be off for an entire week or more to try to let us know ahead of time so we aren’t worried about ya =P
Carbun there are no required nights. We are happy to have players that enjoy WvW and share the same values as us even if we only get you to play with us every now and then
Enjoying some great fights out there and working with new players; But still looking to make NSP even better!
