I knew someone was bound to talk hate about the sylvari because of Scarlett.
Just letting you know most of the sylvari are dispatched in the areas of where the risen spawn the most. They are actually helping to stop the risen because of their natural immunity to the corruption. If it was not for them then so many areas of the map would be swarmed with the risen.
The sylvari also being newest race is also the most peaceful and when they first appeared they offered their help to the other races straight away even knowing hardly anything about the world.
Sylvari are here to fight the dragons, their major focus is the bigger issue “the dragons who threaten the land” not some random villian causing havoc to seek attention.

TOO BAD I CANT WIELD IT
9/10
Im digging the molten look you have given her, by clearly emphasizing the burning fire parts and darkening the rest to look like a molten rock, whilts also keeping your sylvari with a warm toned skinn and a almost burning hair colour. I just wished that the front of your had some of the hotter pink as seen on the pony tail, or that you used a more orangey fiery looking hair. (be careful of the armor re-design to come)
This is my Sylvari Mesmer – Leslie Feist
I designed her after “The Dreamer” and this song by the same named singer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIEwhtUNTck&feature=c4-overview-vl&list=PL79C0A63F6FB672EB “bittersweet melodies”
The aim of my sylvari was to look more dream-like than plant.
My sylvari mesmer designed after “The Dreamer”
Theme of this was a sylvari that has a strong connection to her dream.
Her name is Leslie Feist and I also made her based on this song by the name of the singer

Here’s my elementalist! her name is Hepburn
after looking SO LOONG for alternatives from cultural armor I finally have this!
hi im a infrequent ele player (playing gw2 on and off) but from playing ele I was just wondering
this trait -> elemental attunement
When attuning to an element, you and all nearby allies gain:
Fire: might
Water: regeneration
Air: swiftness
Earth: protection
I was wondering why this trait wasn’t naturally part of our class mechanic (like automatically have it without having to trait to get this)
I mean if this became a part of our class mechanic, wouldn’t this encourage attunement swapping more for newer players? (I mean when I first started a year ago I didn’t really find a drive to switch to the different elements til later levels)
But obviously now I understand that we are heavily reliant on changing attunements to perform to normal standards
I feel that if this passively became part of our attunement swap
then that would clear up a free adept slot for something else. (i just feel this trait should have been part of our class mechanic making it more beneficial than just another weapon swap)
Hi im a returning gw 2 player looking for a general pve guild ?
im quite social personality wise and would appreciate it if anyone wanted to invite me!
My characters name I am mainly playing is Hepburn a lvl 22 ele
Hi haha im mostly getting back/ returning to the game after a long hiatus
and I am looking for a casual pve guild
Im mostly or all about pve haha I love to talk and go on weird adventures and I think im nice? Yeah… Hi
a nice guild would be awesome!
I just saw . . . WHY!!!
Don’t get me wrong I am grateful for these buffs to underwater combat. But every other class is getting their slowest weapons (long bows) velocity buffs and it just makes me wonder why won’t they increase scepters velocity speed. :-(

I just had a quick idea ( not well thought out yet..) but the idea is to remake town clothes skins to replace normal armour / gear but instead of losing the town skills, keep them but rather keep in a seperate slot of skills which we can switch to (like atown clothes MODE),
The idea I had was like how we already have a keybind of switching into town clothes, but instead with the new town clothes we can keep it on our armour skins but use the keybind to rather access the town skills (Town mode) of course town skills cannot be used in combat.
That way I think town clothes would be more desireable and useable by all

oooh thanks for the feedback and answer guys opened up my mind and perception of these skills.
So basically it’s more of a “SKILL” based utility skill where once you get the jist of necro and know what to do and their strengths you can utilise your “many” condition removals to use “corruption” skills to their full potential? :-D this reminds me of shattering and attunement swapping haha thanks! I guess it’s something for me to master
Hi guys
Im a new Necro player and I have to say NECRO was the absolute last class i thought I would play, because I had hopes I would be maining another profession (Mesmer and Ele) never gave necro a chance on creation until a week ago when a guild recommended I give it a chance. MUST say I love this class, totally fits my playstyle.
But as I level up, I seem to notice something about our utility skills that seem to annoy me… and that is “corruption” type skills. These skills seem to place a debuff on us just to get the same debuff + a slightly and a bit more effect on the enemy. The problem may not be the debuff itself, but the payoff of the triggered effect seems mediocre to me :I. I thought that they were put there, just for the heal that eats it, but imo so many self debuffing skills for 1 skill doesn’t seem all that great specially for a not so great effect. Maybe im just too NOOB atm to see the goodness of these skills.
Also in my personal opinion, I would like to see the self debuff decreased or removed or the pay off effect to be buffed. Not to mention on the necro page in the wiki and the gw 2 site they only advertise necro special skill types are marks, minions, wells and spectrals. No corruption listed which I think may have been added in during last minute phase for necros.
List of corruption skills are:
Blood is Power Bleed yourself to gain might and bleed your target.
(why do we have to hurt ourselves to gain a buff, which classes like guardians can just buff)
Corrosive Poison Cloud Weaken yourself. The target area is enveloped in a noxious cloud that poisons foes and leaves them weakened.
(It seems thief short bows can get this out more easily than us)
Corrupt Boon Poison yourself. Transform all boons on your foe into negative conditions.
(don’t we have an aoe version of this as a well? )
Epidemic Apply vulnerability on yourself. Spread conditions on a target foe to all nearby foes.
(this one seems okay, not sure if imba if we remove the self debuff)
Sorry if I sound dumb, but these type of skills annoy me and don’t seem to be used alot by someone like me. Sorry for my noobness ><
I did the event and got the act 2 book (lvl 26) I just ran for my life and luckily for me , a nice guild offered to escort me
I say revert it back to the one in beta where it auto homed like ele flame tooth (without aiming) and dazed the target :I it seemed more useful back then. I dont use the current version of the skill anymore :I or just change the aoe thing to something new with bigger aoe
okay i understand now thank you
yeah i wish we had a different mechanic . . . i love the mesmer but i really dont like shattering atm :I (could be contridicting myself)
Hi fellow mesmers
I am a mesmer player myself
I may not be the best at balancing (well im noob) ><
I kinda thought maybe we could get a little more on our shatters (f1-f4) skills because to me they seem to be lacking a bit in terms of everyother classes (f1-f4) skills
i love the mesmer and kinda thought we could have a passive effect on our shatters in a sense that shatters work when clones die, but the passive would grant an effect (small) when clones are generated
i had an idea that maybe the passives could be something like
f1 passive (sprawning an illusion or (strictly clones to limit it) deals x dmg in a small aoe (small weak dmg )
f2 ^same as above cept heals x to yourself (small weak heal)
f3 ^ same as above cept applies a random boon to self (lasts x seconds) like 1-2 secs
f4 ^ same as above cept applies a random debuff (last x seconds) like 1-2 secs
i just thought this would kind of make it more fun to summon and shatter an illusion where summoning u get a little reward and shattering u get the bigger reward
(of course once shatter (active) passive goes on cd like active)
though yeah i don’t know much about balance so could be op :-I
might as well. . . every other profession seems to be getting nerfs cept warrior
which I assumed was their pride and joy finished product (
so I assumed they would buff the others to stay on par == oh how i was wrong
Hi im looking for a guild :I im from the NZ most prefer a Aus/Nz guild ><
