So it looks like there are a lot of arguments over what is going on with the expansion/core game deal. But what I don’t understand is what bonuses do I get for pre-ordering.

Is it just the title?

The whole idea of doing a pre-order for the consumer are:
1. Buying a game early so it doesn’t sell out
2. Getting bonuses for being an early adopter
3. Purchasing the game sight unseen
4. Supporting the company by showing you really want the game they are making

Well from what I see here, we know the game won’t sell out because you can purchase it digitally. And from the high prices we are seeing, we are definitely supporting the developers. But if I’m only getting a title, why would I ever pre-order the game? There is no real incentive.

I could just wait til the game comes out, and see if there actually is enough content to warrant paying $50+ to play the game. Worse case scenario, I could go play other games and come back in a year when prices are cheaper or I can get it free packaged with another expansion deal (Ok, maybe that statement is too soon). Nothing says I have to play the expansion now.

So I’m only curious why no pre-order bonus. Anet doesn’t really have to add any bonuses if they don’t want to. Just makes me wonder what would make me pre-order a game that won’t sell out.

Is today the last day before Crab Toss is gone? I’m still not getting any credit for Crab Toss on both Crab-Carrying Competitor nor Crab Grabber. And I should have gotten them by now.

Please fix this before it’s too late for me to get the achievements!

I’m having the same problem. I couldn’t advance two achievements and no credit for a win for the daily achievement.

I don’t really like playing Crab Toss, but I really want to get achievements done and over with. Can you guys fix this before the event is over?

@Osicat, yes, but I changed the blood steal to another superior of air, also seem to work, and gl finding a good name for that new combo, well I have a youtube acc, but never made any vids :P

Edit: also have tried a more high crit chance and Im up at 65%, may be too high but the crit is adding up for the lack of damage (power), also giving a higher chance to cast those lightning and flame AoE

How did you get such a high crit chance? Is it just being in all exotics? I’m currently in exotic gear, but not accessories (blues and greens still).

Thanks for putting this up. I’ve been trying to decide if I wanted to go for this legendary or not for my mesmer. If you do have time to create another video, can you add in some day time play as well, or just a little brighter in lighting?

I’m glad you are active in the video as it let many of us see what it would look like for a mesmer in action. Some close ups and putting it on the offhand is a great suggestion too.

My thoughts exactly. I haven’t tried a dragon in a while but I’ll be giving them a go during the Thanksgiving break.

Got Zap and a guildmate in the same group got Chaos Gun.

Ok, after three more tries, I finally got in. I think I was too stubborn to quit. There must be a small window of time to make the jump and latency could be an issue, even though I don’t have latency problems anywhere else.

I had the same problem. I spent the last 3 to 4 hours trying to do this puzzle. I did it the first time an hour ago, and I thought maybe I missed timed the jump when it ported me back to the beginning.

Second time which I just finished, I jumped through at the right time and I got ported back to the beginning. This is glitched and I am beyond frustrated at this puzzle. I hope they fix this and credit those that should have made it. I don’t know how they would be able to tell, but I don’t have any real desire to try this again. And I’m only doing this because of the achievement. I don’t even care about the rewards.
