Hey there, we are a small guild of about 35+ very close members on Tarnished coast

We are a great active community but we want to expand.

We know that small guilds are not going to be able to afford guild missions right away and so want them to merge with us so that we can do them together.

We dont have everything we need to start the guild missions rigth away but we are close! And with an extra 10-15 members we will be able to get there together.

Strength in numbers!!!!

We want to recruit an already established group of friends into our group as we think that is far more effective at creating a community.

We use the Tarnished coast community mumble everyday. We are primarily NA but have several EU and oceanic members.

So Im what you could call a guild wars veteran.

Played the origional for years, loved the minis.

So I decided to buy mystery chests in the store to get the minis this event.

I wanted the quaggan and 1 of each of the other minis.

I thought the drop rate was good as several guildies got more than 3 pets from the 10 chests they bought.

I bought 10 chests- nothing
10 chests
10 chests
10 chests

85 CHESTS LATER

I end up with 3 snowmen and 2 golems, no endless tonics or bells, just terrible 1 time use tonics.

Come on Anet, iv just spent a weeks wages on this event and youve really screwed me with these drop rates.

Why couldnt have you done the same as you did on halloween, I bought 2 packs one of the rare and 1 to keep the others! It worked!!!

You guys are taking advantage of your customers by making these random. This is your greed.

I cant beleive Iv spent this much real money, literally double or triple most people in game and gotten far far less than they have.

Im sooo dissapointed.

Myself and a few friends are trying to get a guild off the ground that provides a stress-free fun dungeon guild that caters for people who have guilds already that dont run dungeons frequently enough for them.

If you like running dungeons, Join our guild.

You can run with the same people over and over, be confident in their abilities and know youll get the dungeon done first time.

You will be able to see who is online even when not representing which means you can whisper them and ask for help in a group.

Every member must have at least one lvl 80 character with FULL exotic gear. Meaning that every member will be capable of running every dungeon.

That is our only requirment.

jeez…. I wish they would move those vistas so you could get all points during one week as long as your team was winning. Barring someone from completion for a minimum of 2 weeks isnt fun.

Dang that really sicks, I need the 2 vistas that are in each of my servers opponents starting areas, so its gonna take a minimum of 2 weeks (I think) to finish the mapping.

That really sucks, I would pay 200 gems to be able to switch servers instantly so I could finish it off.

Oh well, I guess I get to practice my patience this week once again XD

Hey all, I couldnt find the answer to my question anywhere.

It was meantioned at release that we would be able to swap world servers at a cost.

I know you can transfer atm but you cant transfer back until a whole week. I only need 2 vistas in a map on wvw to finish it and Ill need to transfer servers to do it or ill be waiting 2 weeks for my server to rotate onto both of the maps.

Can I just pay gems to quickly transfer worlds, map the area then map back.

I dont mind the cost to instant transfer but I cant leave my guilds server for a whole week.

Anyone able to help me out??

I dont want to sound mean but the side you are on is a stupid one.

Mystery tonics were the ones that people got by opening chests DURING the event.

The named ones you got before or from somewhere else, so why would they be included.

This recipe has been implemented to provide those people who opened chests during the event but didnt get any items because the drop rate was so low.

Why would anyone get the same chance when they didnt get those tonics for the event?

Wish some people would learn to read or at least use some logic.

Ok I have no idea why this keeps happening.

Sometimes (usually when up agianst a map boss like the shatterer) A very loud beeping from the guild wars 2 client. Sometimes it will just continue for as long as I sat in game and I have to mute the game, or sometimes I get kicked out of game with an error report.

I have a great computer and this never happens in large WvW battles or the claw of jormag event just the shatterer, the shadow behemoth and the dragon in bloodtide coast.

My PC sepcs are:

i5 2500k cpu
gtx 560 ti graphics card
8gb of ram

I have 2 monitors set up, I have guild wars 2 on one and usually firefox up on the other.

Please help, I get kicked just as the chest spawns for the event so I never get the rewards, this is soooo frustrating.

:/ I got the game on release, and even pre-ordered it the day it was released for pre-order, and I still do not have a level 80. I just hit 40 today. I’m in college, and I just haven’t had much time. That does not make me lazy, or wanting things handed to me. I may cause a rage for saying this, but if I wanted something handed to me, I’d go play WoW. Just because I want to participate in an event, does not mean I want something handed to me. Just means I want to be able to be included in the fun activities even though I’m not max level. I don’t see what the big deal is. If I participate and ‘work hard’ in a Holiday Event, why can’t I get rewarded for it? Instead of it being assumed I just got handed something.

Im NOT saying pre lvl 80’s should get nothing im saying lvl 80’s should get an event or something like that which is unique.

Secondly, I didnt say those who arnt lvl 80 arnt working hard. I said ther are players who DONT work hard and DO want it handed to them.

Sure of course it is, I have no idea how you play the game.

My argument is there are players on these forums who dont want to do ANYTHING for these event items. There was post over post asking for a guide on the wiki for the recipes for wepaons!

Are you kidding me! This game is about discovery and these people cant be bothered to put the work in. I dont care if your lvl 1 or lvl 80 as long as your willing to PLAY THE GAME to get the items instead of just wanting to get them for showing up!

“If I remember correctly, at the end of each event they had mask/hats/tonics as a symbol that you participated in an event on the last day at the time specified. Items in the world dropped the same for lvl 1’s as well as lvl 20’s. You could complete quest for presents most events and didn’t have to be at level cap.”

I’m afraid you dont remember correctly, in GW1 there was a set of quest chaisn that was only available to high end characters, they are even doing it again this year in GW1 but they have made it easier since there arnt as many people online.

So there was master events for end game characters! Nothing was wrong then, and nothing is wrong with that now!

It seems there is a community of players in GW2 that want everything given to them easily and resent players who work hard and efficiently to get to a high level.

Im seeing posts all over these forums asking for guides for these events and crafting recipes for the items because they are too lazy to discover them themselves.

This kind of attitude is awful.

All I want is content for all players to participate in from lvl 1-80 but also master level quests/events for high end players to reward them for their effort.

And just to defend myself since everyone seems to think that I spend 12 hours a day on this game. I work part time as a child care provider and am currently doing a computing degree from home and spend my nights on GW2 instead of sleeping lol.

I have two level 80’s and a lvl 65 because I read the wiki and reddit and spend my time discovering content and actually PLAYING THE GAME instead of waiting for things to fall into my lap. Geez just get Anet devs to play the game for you!

I prepurchased the game and have have 2 lvl 80 characters and a lvl 65.

I dont think its wrong for people like me to benifit from these events more than others because we have worked harder and prepared.

I dont think its wrong for me to want to be rewarded for my support and hard work over people who just bought the game a week ago and now want all this high end content for free.

I bought over 2000 gems for this event with gold that I earned through legitimate means. Let me benifit form that please.

We don’t need that kind of elitist attitude in GW2.

How is it elitist, im asking for one event or item that is awarded to endgame characters. They did it in GW1 with the halloween event and they did it in WoW.

Who are you to decide what we need and do not need in this game?

What is so wrong with ONE thing for us end game characters, nobody complained in GW1 and it worked great!

What I want is for lvl 80 characters to have at LEAST one thing that only a lvl 80 can do.

Anet have said that there is NO new content in this new patch for just lvl 80’s

Even lower levels can raft the exotics to keep for later.

Give us something thats all. One thing that we get to do for getting our characters to lvl 80, thats not too much to ask I dont think.

I think that all events recipes ect should be open to all levels but give the lvl 80’s one thing to reward them for their effort.

Doesnt even have to be something good just a little cosmetic item for completing arah duuring halloween or something like that would have been nice.

Iv heard that GW2 may have made the respawn times 24 hours instead of 5.

Might be a good idea to buy all the orichalcum ore while its cheap cause it is going to skyrocket if this is the case.

Today and yesterday I noticed that the Orichalcum nodes in the cursed shore are not respawning every 5 hours as was usual.

I managed to harvest them twice I beleive after the patch before they stopped showing up.

Iv noticed other people on my map complaining about this but im wondering if this is a problem across all servers.

Im only use the Isle of Jnathir server.

Can any verify or disprove this??
