From my own experience, Lupi went down hella fast last night with everyone testing our zerker builds. Jerus saying 11s isn’t that far of a stretch from what we hit as well. In that amount of time, you’d be hard pressed to ramp up high condi stacks and get in some good ticks. Other dungeon bosses went down faster now than pre-patch.
Time will tell, but on the face of it, looks like power is still king.
I really only see this build as sort of training wheels for some new Guards to learn how to block big attacks by trading pretty much all dps for the ability to survive one or two more hits.
In fact, she survives the whole encounter, which means she understands the attack pattern quite well and reacts reasonably to it.
Yup! I like what the OP is trying to do. Even the guides are there to essentially explain the attack mechanics, what to watch out for and how to defend.
Knowledge of how to mitigate damage via active defenses is essential for surviving in full zerker and this could be a good first step for many new players. It’s much easier to learn when you can take a hit or two; instead of jumping into a full meta build and spending a lot of time on the floor because you don’t know what to do.

Warriors and Guardians are on the opposite spectrum imo.
Warriors provide the group with more offensive buffing, while their kits allow them a lot of personal sustain which makes them a really forgiving class to play.
Guardians provide the group with more defensive options and active protection in the form of Aegis, Protection and Blinds. A decent/good Guardian can carry a party through pretty much every encounter, a bad one… well let’s just say that hard dungeon boss fight will probably end up in multiple wipes.
For new players, I would recommend starting with Warriors because they’re so much more forgiving with their larger health pool, better regen and damage output.

Yeah, I tried searching and it gave no results :s
Petition to have the forum search fixed as well!
Would it be possible to have the Captain’s Airship move from time to time, to where the active hotspots are?
It is at Gendarran Fields because that was where the major base of operation was, when Scarlet invaded. Now the Pact is mostly in Silverwastes and the Airship feels out of place and really lonely where it is.

Instead of removing res from dead state, I’d rather see a reduction on the number of rescuers down to like 2 or 3 people instead of 10. This still allows people to be picked up, but just makes it much slower and more dangerous during an open field battle.
Having a method to reduce mainly the lower outliers would be beneficial, but you are adjusting a single layer of RNG.
Most other MMO’s have more simplified tables where if you want X item, you know that the following A, B, C monsters have them at a given chance; so you can farm for that key item. Guild Wars 2 has been built around a model that tries to discourage this with a giant loot table that goes something like this:
40% – Tier 1 (Some random Junk/Whites from some other table)
30% – Tier 2 (Some random Blues/Mats from some other table)
25% – Tier 3 (Some random Greens/Better Mats from some other table)
4% – Tier 4 (Some random Rares/Rare Mats from some other table)
0.9% – Tier 5 (Some random Exotic from some other table)
0.1% – Tier 6 (Some random Super Special item like a recipe or skin)
So say you finally hit a Tier 5 drop and get an exotic, but what kind of exotic? It could be anything from a piece of armor your class can’t even equip to, if you’re lucky, that weapon with the stat you wanted. I feel that’s a problem, because even if you guarantee a rare/exotic drop after a long dry spell, is that drop going to be useful? Is it worth anything more than just a salvage or market fodder? At the end of the day, you’re still left not feeling rewarded and maybe a little more aggravated because you still haven’t gotten an item you could have used.
AC had always had 5 trigger spiders. I have been pulling and triggering since 2012, and it was one of the first things I realized when my group started running daily AC’s.
Your problem is not that you’re sending too many messages, it’s that you’re sending the same message twice in a row. Doesn’t matter if it’s 1 min apart or even 10 min apart, if you send the exact same message letter for letter, it will auto suppress you.
I appreciate the time and effort ANet puts into these events. I understand that ANet has chosen what they believe are best times to run one-shot/limited timed events; trying to accommodate as many players as possible. But these events are horrible as they exclude and alienate a lot of players like myself, who have real life obligations.
I’ve come to loathe the game every time a limited event is announced; because I know that I will most likely miss it, and would have to hear about all the stuff I missed out on when I do manage to get online. Bit by bit, these moments just makes me less interested in logging in again because I feel like I just got slapped in the face.
