This just hit me today, I’ve never had any issue after 1 month playing before today.

This issue starts discouraging me from playing. It’s mind blowing knowing how much gold I’ve lost due to this bug.

Today’s maintenance didn’t fix this bug, so far there is no response from Anet, it’s makes me doubt that the next server reset will fix this. Brace yourself, maybe we’re gonna stuck in this forever guys.

I’m gonna take back my word on earlier post. The bug is still there, now they’re didn’t respawn again… I guess something is wrong with the respawn timer.

Guys I just log in just now and I can find all 5 nodes at CS. Looks like they’ve fixed this, well I wish you guys best of luck!

Map : Cursed Shore

I can only find the 2 ori nodes nearby sharn’s free camp, the rest of them don’t appear.
The rest 3 of them are supposed to be at :
*Fields of Gold ( nearby arena )
*Harbinger Torch
*Death Gaze Torch ( south of it )

Some other player also can’t find them. At first we thought that maybe we should wait for 5-6 hours for them to respawn. After we wait, the two nodes near Sharn’s free camp already respawn, but the rest 3 still didn’t appear at our’s end.

I don't want to sit and farm Penitent/Shelter's/Jofast's camp all day, but I sure feel compelled to

They should downscale better. That means:

a) Make us weaker in low-level areas. As of now I am too strong when I play in a level 20 area as level 80 character, allegedly downscaled to level 22.

b) Give us karma, gold, xp like in level 80 areas.

c) Give us level adequate loot like in Orr.

Then it would be the same (loot-/xp-/karma-/goldwise) if I play in Kessex Hills or Cursed Shore. And that would be a very good thing because the high level player would spread all over the world.

I agree, but I would add that the travel costs need to suit our down-leveled status. If I’m level 6 in an area why should I spend 1.5 silver to go to a nearby waypoint? You could solve the whole “going to a newbie area to get discount travel” by way of making the destination the cost multiplier. Thus a level 80 goes to Queensdale and pays 5 copper to travel there, he then goes to Kessex Hills and it costs him apx 60 copper as the new area is 15-25. When he returns to Cursed Shore he would pay 3 silver.

I agree with both of you, if they do this then it will be awesome able to explore Tyria without have to worrying about getting punished by going to the low level areas.

Right now, the population at Orr is overload. There are about 25-30 players zerging at almost every DE, while most of DE are designed for 15 players in my opinion. This makes the content of PVE has a little to none options. If they improve the downscaling system then it would help to spread out the populations all across Tyria.

Hi there first of all I want to say that you guys done a great job creating this beautiful forum. Since I’m going to visit this forum almost everyday, then I think the “remember me/ keep me login” function should be added.

The NPC is not there, so I try to transfer to another server : Eredon terrace. guess what, same problem…now I have to wait another 24 hours to give another server a try or get back to my original server.

Please fix this Anet.

Both Celissa and Sisho are right, I just did more further research and the result is :

It’s the damage you dealt that will make the kill counts, how many do we need? All I know is that I get the kill counts when I hit above 1500damage on mobs at Orr map.

And what Sisho mentioned about more damage means more loot, well I think this could be an issue. It will be absolutely unfair for player who is going for defense build. I hope some Anet guys could review this.

Thus taking this discussion more further :

How the contribution counts on Dynamic Event?
Is it the same damage contribution rule?
Then what about player who prefer to support and reviving allies? that must count to something?

So I just did some research and found out that I don’t get the Exp if I only hit them once. I get the “kill counts” when I hit them twice or more. Though I’m still not sure is it the number of hits or the damage dealt that counts..

Perhaps anyone got the answer?

Depends if you’re talking about trash mobs or bosses
In the latter of the two, usually yes, you have to do a certain amount of damage to get credit for it
But as for trash mobs you get exp for the kill if you damaged them at all
The more damage better chance for loot

Yeah I’m talking about the trash mob. Sometimes when I hit them ( I only managed to hit them once or twice before they die because too many players hitting them ) I didn’t get the exp at all, let alone the loot. Maybe it’s a bug then?

This question pop up to me when I do some zerg. Sometimes I hit the mobs but when they die, I didn’t get the exp let alone the loot.
So what counts here? Is it the quantity of your hits or the amount of damage that you deal to the mobs? Which will grant you the “kill counts”?

Hi there, I don’t know where to post this but I think you guys done a great job designing this forum. This is the most beautiful forum that I’ve ever seen and I’m glad to become a part of it’s community. I like the elements of the header, body and the navigation stuff also the colors are nice too. Those people are complaining about bosses being impossible is because no strategy was discovered/they don’t know/didn’t specced their classes or pugged every single of their runs.

Believe me, people always find a way. I played Monster Hunter Frontier and no matter how hard Capcom made the bosses, people always discovered some cheap strategy to beat them. Crazy stuff like taking advantage of a specific terrain or monster mechanic, to even calculate the amount of damage it takes to stunlock it.

As example for Guild wars, you can actually make Kholer and the troll to fight each other to death on AC, then you can easily kill the survivor.

Although, I would agree with a 1 piece per run if dungeons were 5 times larger and took hours to complete it. Maybe the sizer of a zone full of dynamic events and what not.

If they’re going to do this, I wish they fix the bug where a player got disconnected, he/she can’t rejoin the party because the dungeon is restarted at that player’s end.
