Hello players of Guild Wars 2!

The last time I played the game was way back when GW2 first got released. I almost reached max level on one character, which I think was a Ranger. At the time I had to stop playing due to the lack of time and playing other games and kinda just lost track and never picked up GW2 again.

Its no doubt a silly question but has much changed since the release of the base game? If/when I do start playing again I will be creating a new character and starting over because I’m sure I’ve forgotten everything or its all changed! At the moment I don’t own the expansion but might purchase that if I get back into the game and enjoy it.

How is the crafting now? I can remember doing a fair bit of gathering to craft items etc. My new character will be a ranged one. I really enjoy playing this type!

Something I noticed while reading the crafting section in the strategy guide last night. It says

“If you need more components, you can do it from inside the Discovery screen by clicking on the advanced ingredient in question and using the “+” icon to craft more instantly."

Have I missed this feature or is it because I’m still crafting lower tier items? Which items are classed as advanced ingredients?

Ettins in Gendarran Field should drop these. Just looks at what they salvage into and the level range for the items created. These salvage into wool scraps which becomes bolts of wool used to create lv25-35 items.

Thanks, I read here http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Ettin_ that the Ettins drop the item. I went to Gendarran Fields but only found one Ettin to the far north? Are they anymore located in this area?

Yeah, I’ve been farming those and not had a single drop!

I’ve read that Ettins have a chance to drop them? I’ve had no luck! Can anyone confirm which mobs drop these please? I’m trying to gather some for crafting.

I’m using the latest version of TS3 and have tried to get the TS3 overlay to work with the game. I’ve tried all kinds of settings from within the plugin feature of TS3 and nothing seems to work! I’ve selcted gw2.exe without any luck. The overlay just wont display ingame. I did a quick search and tried the advice at http://www.evcitadel.com/community/threads/if-you-use-ts3-overlay-with-gw2.30844/ but still nothing!

What am I doing wrong? Is there issues with the overlay and GW2? Any help would be great!
