I don’t have any records prior to the problems occurring, but I have complained about this to my ISP as well.
They told me that because something changed on the recipient server it is probably rerouted via another route because there is no better option for the routing for the moment.

As far as I can see, they changed something (more or less around the time of HoT) which makes my best available route to their NA server less efficient as before, making my connection to the game unstable.

Going by your info you should also now very well that these routings happen on best route choice by default and rerouting it manually by VPN or other means, will only make it take a worse route.
As much as you should claim, this is not something my ISP can handle, but I do not fully blame Anet for this, but I do say it has something to do with changes to the servers which made the routing terrible at this moment, making my claim for transfer to a feasable EU server viable in my opinion.

My point wasn’t that it was all Anet.
It was that I could not play anymore due to the latency on NA server.
I just shown that EU is playable for me and that they should make arrangements for this kind of situations…

Ellieanna, I have enough experience on the technical part to use trace routes and ping plotters to trace the issue.
And in my case it does show the major delay and latency in the connection starts when it reaches Anet servers.

I indicated it to Anet and showed them, that for me there is a major difference in latency between the NA and EU servers, but since they charge gems to change servers, I have to pay to get a stable game connection…

Don’t bother, this has been asked a thousand times already.
Myself and a lot of other players are having the same problem since quite some time, most of them just quit due to the fact it’s nearly impossible to play the game like this.

There hasn’t been any decent response from Anet so far on this. They think it’s still our own fault by having a bad internet connection :-/

Same problem here, I have had this for a while (about a month) now and at first this was occasionally and I could live with it, but now it seems to be after a minute.

It seems for me, it is related to the servers as I get kicked after less than a minute when it’s crowded and it can be between 5 mins and an hour when it’s not crowded.

With beta going on at the moment, this is now instant DC when I get on…
I have been playing fine for 3 years, so they better not be telling us that it’s a local issue!
The ping values are also getting worse and worse these days :’(

EDIT: tried an account of a friend which plays on EU servers (I play on US servers but I live in Europe). The EU servers did not DC me, so I’m guessing it really has something to do with the servers and the load they are taking which affects the local ping of players farther away… But this isn’t supposed to happen, right? You can’t force people to transfer to EU server (especially when it costs between 500 and 2k gems;..)

EDIT2: Have tried other computer, other internet connection (also stable), with both accounts. Same results…

Will the event/announcement be broadcast live? I know the championship final will be, but I hope the announcement is too…
And my guess is that it won’t be a new race or profession, but something of an addition to the current way we play. More in the line of WvWvW or general play styles.
