1. I will buy PoF because of Mike O’brien and the assumption that he is responsible for the lack of overconfident hype and promises.

2. Disappointed that PoF won’t include player housing or content for home instances. I do not have a reward track to pursue that interests me and miss the not having a Skinner box.

3. Why is the emblem for Path of Flame a tornado?

It’s funny. ANet tried some really visionary things for an MMO closer to the start of the game. Things like no levels, easy acquisition of BiS stats, and a near-universal reward currency, with RNG playing little role beyond getting Precursors. The MMO fan base said no to all of that, either directly, or by taking actions which were bad for the health of the game.

As to the “recycled” comment. Yeah, what the heck do you mean by that?

I’ll be simple and to the point.
The major/minor runes and sigils are an enormous pain in the kitten and really, I never used them when leveling and have ZERO use for them on my 80’s, and they sell for almost nothing.

Either find a way to make them useful to use again (like say, mystic forge x4 of the same on into exotic versions or whatever, SOMETHING) or give us a quick disposal method that can work in zergs/raids/dungeons.

I mean, a quick sell button exclusively for them would be cool. Better would be a way to avoid the MASSIVE bag space they instantly take up from the smallest amount of loot.

Get on this guys, this is a year 1 problem for the game, and I bet most of the community agrees.

I would agree thief needs some work…lets look at some common issues we have

>1. Condi clearance / we simply cannot keep up with condi builds even if you max out SA

>2. Heavily reliant on stealth/blinds to stay alive (again for condi clearing, and our low health ((Im gona be stuck at 12k health after the whole guard stack going away…))

>3.many would argue we are 1 trick pony’s being backstab or pure spam condi builds

>4. Lets face it traps suck as far as pvp/wvw goes (ambush, spike pit, trip wire, scorpion wire, smoke screen) I would love to see some better skills implemented or maybe reconfigured to be more usefull roaming or in small havoc teams

Ive playing thief since beta (Happy 1000 days of gw2 today!) as we continually get nuked down by damage nerfs, ferocity, and condi changes, I would gladly welcome so more variety, I remember back in early release you could litteraly 1 shot any class with dd this is no longer the case, (prob for a better more fair gameplay i suppose) again my issue goes back to balance.. were in a tough spot right now.

Seeing as we currently get nothing from excess ranks in WvW, I for one would settle for anything. Titles, unlocks to siege punchable, food/util purchases (not op food, just a no cost option) etc.

And I do realize that many many players farm EotM for ranks, but ANet can add things in to make WvW player’s lives easier without trivializing the ranks (even further than they have). IMO the proposed changes only benefit the newcomers and (once again) veterans are left out in the cold! OK, we get it you want to make the game new player friendly, but for kitten sakes how about some appreciation for those that have been with you for 1k days now.

WvW regulars have always had the problem of extra WvW points and nothing to do with them. The recent changes have only made this percentage of the WvW population grow. I suggest a simple temporary solution (or permanent, for those who like this kind of thing) which is to add a Magic Find(while in WvW) rank. This can be anything from 2% per 50 rank points spent to 10% every 200 points spent. The idea is veterans will have something to put their points into that will at least give them something other than a big number to look at. Additionally, those who have no interest in ever using siege, or those who only visit EotM will also have something appealing to put points into if they choose to do so. In addition it would be a small step towards improving material rewards in WvW.

Magic Find isn’t the most useful stat most would agree, but it’s better than the red ! I always see when I open the WvW window.

I love the friendly guild war 2 community! PLS dont make the next patch of content so hard such that 90% of the player base cant beat!

I lover guild war 2 and I think it is the most beautiful rpg out right now graphic wise! Even though guild war 2 vanilla lacks hard pve content! I still play guild war 2 a lot! I have spend over 200 dollars on guild war 2 buying skins making my character look beautiful! But what really separate guild war 2 from many other games such as world of warcraft is the friendly players and the friendly community! In other MMOs such as wow or tera rising the players are very mean! they dont help new players out, they will boot you for making 1 mistake in dungeons or raids! If you go on the main chat in any of those mmos the players not only will not help you but they will give you wrong answers or tell you lies just to screw with your head!

inconclusion! I want guild war 2 to be what it is beautiful and full of friendly nice people! THANK YOU!

Don’t get me wrong, this is not about if I like what we get or not. For now I am fairly neutral.

But just at looking at the features this seems to be a pretty standard MMO expansion:

- New region(s): check
- New class: check
- Vertical progression system: check (like in AoC and soon in ESO too)
- Sub classes: check
- New battleground (WvW): check
- New pvp map/mode: check
- Guild housing: check

There is absolutely nothing new or fresh with those features. They are pretty much copy and paste as far as it looks right now.

Arguing that there won’t be a new tier of loot doesn’t make this all new and exciting, I see it more like one less feature. Other games have avoided to raise the level cap before (AoC, FF etc.).

Just saying. While the new stuff looks good, it is the most traditional bunch of expansion features anyone could come up with.
