First off, this may not work for everyone and second although ANET have suggested this to some players (myself included) you use them at your own risk (so think carefully if you are willing to accept the risk).

As many people may already know (or have at least been told by support); lag and disconnects are not always the fault of your setup or ANETS servers. It is entirely possible for the problem to be with the “route” your ISP uses to connect you to ANETS servers (some ISPs may even detect game traffic and purposely use a special route in order to not affect other customers).

One solution to this is to use a “proxy server”.
To setup your own “proxy server” can take a lot of effort, so instead there are also lots of 3rd party gamming proxy service’s (may offer free trails), for example:

I’ve read on wiki that every player should get a mail from Kasmeer Meade containing 3 Mysterious key pieces. For some reason I never received this mail (my mail box is empty and I have checked every character several times), has anyone else had this problem?
I’m wondering if it’s because the thing I done when this update was release is create a new character (My best guess is a new character is not eligible for this content and hence did not receive the mail), unfortunately no other character got it either.

I have the exact same issue on my home server (seafarer’s rest) and the 2 I’ve attempted to guest on (gunnar’s hold & fissure of woe). I now have 2 trapped characters until I can get them out of there.

Off and on this issue has plagued hundreds of players since the game has launched and it seems to affect more players every patch.

For nearly 2 weeks now I too am getting constantly disconnected (no matter what PC I use). The disconnects seem more frequent anytime I’m near Flame and Frost content or travelling to lions arch.
Normally I notice the disconnect when my skills will not trigger and I can’t talk to npcs or interact with anything (I can still run around even to the point where the map is void of any enemies or ncps, etc..), interestedly I can still search the trade post but if I try to purchase or sell the game then crashes out or takes me to the login screen (so I guess the game is running, but somehow disconnected from the game server)

Thanks everyone, I walk into a town and there it is. I manged to apply it while out of town which changed my skills, but disppeard when I tried to put it away.

I bought one when they were available and tried to using it recently, after tring to put it away it disappeared and is not in my inventory.

Has anyone been able to do this mission in the past few days?
I have attempted this 10 times (in the last 3 days) on 2 different EU servers using 2 different PCS and every time the game freezes at one of the cut scenes (all I get is the icon above my head for a few minutes before the game auto logs out) .
I have repaired the game, but still nothing (annoyingly I finished this on a different toon only 2 weeks ago).
