WTF is up with this dodging the wrong way thing thats going on…….. like ill be moving away or in a direction and dodge, the dodge will send me in the opposite direction to the place i forward it to go. is it something to do with the “you got loot, you was pushed” bug? idk but omg this is something that is srsly tilting me right now. i play WvW. I can manage and deal with server lag problems, that are (but shouldnt be) part of the game now. I can deal with self error but this dodge opposite way thing, through no fault of your own, is rly tilting me. Please look into and fix this dumb stuff. its only been happening for the last, idk, 6months?

yeah thanx for feed back. I think if it was to be made to be a legendary then it would need a little more “all out” on the skin. Like dripping blood animation with a redish glow and blood footsteps.

i have a suggestion – remove all sieges from WvW
If you was locked on a server and never able to move WvW would of been dead long time ago. server would start losing ppl would stop playing server dies. repeat for most servers. game over.
With transfers players can bring a population back to life via transfers etc.
As for an event i wanna see a meta event where a char airship has crashed into smc, leaving it in ruins but still explorable with the airship in the center. Players need to collect some kind of w/e crystal and energy/repair material (2 different types) then hand it into some NPC or w/e. parts are rewarded from killing players and taking objectives. Event would start and last for x amount of time and repeat while meta event is active rewarding the players with currency, amount based on place achieved, 1st 2nd or 3rd that can be traded for various rewards at a vender @ spawn.
Just a draft idea ive had for a long time now. as for making it work and balanced, idk but think concept would be cool.

i have thought b4 that the map cap was lower for NA servers during off prime and this would make sense as a way to at least help with night capping blobs. outmanned buff is 3:1 ratio so its not hard to be outmanned with 50 of your own players on a map if the cap is 65 and the enemy both have Q’s on said map. EB map cap WAS 75, i know this for a fact as i said we stacked WP on reset, map was Q’ed, this was all planned, everyone on WP and count was 75. and they have said in the past alpine was reduced to 65 then they followed up saying they reduced it again by 10 or 15, i cant remeber 100% 10 or 15 but this was ment to be temp and i think it was temp while they tried to fix some over spill lag from PvE or something.
Still would be nice to get a run down on exactly what it is and if cap varies etc.

EB WAS…. WAS 75 i know this for a fact a few years ago as on reset we stacked and done a /supplyinfo. however since then things have changed to do with servers lagging due to game changes. However, when stability was changed to stacks they reduced Alpine cap to 65 then followed saying the reduced cap by 10 again. so since then it hasnt been clear. Why i would love to get a dev to give us a straight answer to the question.
if no straight answer, then why? seems fishy we wouldnt get a answer to what should be a simple question.

Good point. Given that they measure ranks gained, they most certainly would skew the population measure.
Everyone stop taking experience boosters if you want your servers opened.
They used to measure ranks gained, now it’s used for comparison between servers.
So in the past, if your server had a lot of ktraining blobs gaining ranks, your server would be full.
If your server was full of a mix of PvP players and PPT havoc/small squads, your server was likely to be open.
You get a lot of wxp from kills trust me. Constantly farming groups gives a lot more wxp than ktraining. Then you can add +100% exp from kills onto that. It adds up fast. What im saying is even guilds that dont PPT get a lot of levels.

Btw to run said build u dont even need gaurd runes and to run said build u loss a lot of what being a guardian is about. You sacrifice a lot to make this happen. its a counter with pros and cons and imo works well and creates a good counter to ac fire and doesnt need changing. Maybe one day due to this no one will build ac’s, wouldnt that be nice.
best way to destroy arrow carts:
Step 1: grab a guardian.
Step 2: Grab condi gear
Step 3: Apply guardian runes to condi gear
Step 4: stand in arrow cart fire and pop blocks.
Proceed to watch arrow cart melt.

Note: As a Guard, running this set up is a MASSIVE loss to what you should be doing……. u sacrifice A LOT to do this.

Anet should remove the scoring system unless WvW has a special match like PvP League! Please think long and hard. We are not lab rats.

Look at these guys – avoiding wvw for the last 2+weeks. 50% of players spending all time in EotM to make the game look different to what it is…..
Wondering if youre trying to make maguuma loss a link? WvW link system is base from population % Full, not gleco or match results. im sure the wvw team from anet have smarten up after the last mistake they made that ending in comments from blackgate players like “yeah,finally i can play again” how much more obvious can u get to the manipulation that took effect…..
you havnt played gw2 for 4years have u. my guess is not much longer than2 if 2.
yeah, T2. u cant 20vmap q anymore if the blob has even half good players. to much babysit kitten in the game now, condis boons getting kitten out effortlessly, procs etc etc.
T2 has smaller sized zergs & less skilled players in most cases and the driver snipe meta is not as bad there as other places, mainly t1.
its not a downgrade….. Servers are having to do more calculations than ever before. Condition stacks, sigil/rune procs, boon duration effect and removals, stablilty etc etc etc
However i do think we should have excess to a stat that reduces condition duration applied to the user. We have always had food/runes that +/-% condition duration and then we was giving a new stats, one of them gave +% Condition Duration but we did not get a -% condition duration stat. I think keeping with the thoughts of the original build of game and giving a counter part to the +% duration armor set would be a good way to go.
Straegen.2938 is a dumfuk numptie to even think such things as remove condi clears cause condi damage is over powered. Not all conditions deal damage, but avoid/increase damage, cause problems while not dealing damage.
So lets say we have no cleans….. oh im crippled for 1min, chilled for one min, blinded when i need to burst have vun on me… etc etc…
giving condi a crit hit damage mod effected by crit chance is an amazing idea @ Taobella.6597. Bringing down condition damage on some real dangerous condis that stack, per stack is also a great idea or even just per stack of damage condi condition damage per that type is reduced by xx% amount, w/e. But even these things cause problems in other areas………
lets take big PvE or WvW situations where servers have, due to these changes, more calculations to do – More, worse, quicker skill lag cause servers are enduring calculations.
All mag does is run condi tank blobs – Condi condi condi heal heal heal condi condi condi heal heal heal – Magswagging it out. condi blob style.
Cannon build sites, one thing to say about them.

lel, confusion triggers one time per skill use, thats it. end off. thats how it is ment to work, not amount of targets hit by the skill that triggers the confusion. Another example. a fragment trap. hits 10 times over the duration of the trap, only triggers confusion once, right. Also no need to learn the difference between the politically correct terms for effects of attacks. btw, auto attack can be w/e u place it as, cleave is just a term used in combat for spamming one skill and not wasting cooldowns. Anyway. bumped.
Yeah Sinbold gets it, even so confusion should only trigger one time per skill use. I mean if im on some other class and use a skill that hits 5 ppl confusion only triggers one time from the single skill used, not 5 times from each target being hit. Thats why this is a bug.
Ok so here is what i think is happening, after some more playing and watching……..
Guard bow one bounces and hits 2 targets (2triggers) then u have trait to knock back (1trigger) then if u run life steal food like i do then u life steal on crit (1trigger) so thats 4 triggers on confusion on your self from using 1 puncture shot (Cleave/Spam 1 skill on gaurd bow) i dont know where the other trigger is comming from but its hitting 5 times. Broken and didnt used to do this pre a couple of patches ago, not sure exactly how many patches ago but this didnt happen b4 and back then i was using amp runes as well so it would of been an extra 1 trigger from the vamp runes. Anyway. Moving on to the srsness of this bug…….
Confusion mesmer puts, lets say, 8 stacks of confusion on u (typical amount for a pressure burst) u take 1.5k damage ~ per trigger thats 7.5k damage in place of 1.5k, thats an extra 6k damage. Now remember thats from only 1 cleave, if u was to cleave twice without noticing your hp/condi bars thats 15k hp gone in 2seconds from cleaving and should of only of been 3k……. 12k damage extra……
like i said b4, its bad enough with confusion alrdy and now this bug is here for guards. Please fix…….. FAST. Shouldnt have to stop everything at an instant cause u cleaved once with confusion on u. then waste heals to get back what should of never been.

Whats up with confusion ticking instant 5 times damage ticks from a single guard bow 1 skill use……. its not the 1st time its happened either so i know its a bug, checked my combat log, 5 times hit with confusion from the use of 1 guard bow 1. its bad enough this condition is the worse kitten in the game, now its bugged as well……. gg.
please fix FAST, its kittened how much damage it does from this skill use.
Sorry halo guild on SFR is going to EBG until there is active map-rotation, the map is exactly the same as the one we got bored with 2 years back, it has no added value atm. except for the new keep, tower and camp upgrade system.
If the change would be based on actively including more maps in WvW we would continiue to stay on the borderlands as for me now it is pointless.
Offensive potential has been reduced to offer zerg/blob warfare and perma-thief tagging a chance that is not an improvement, but a reduction of the offensive action diversity, map options and in my opinion a missed chance to make from change a ++ situation.
I wonder if 186 players start complaining wether to bring back Desert borderlands it would be a representative vote for Arena-Net to bring DBL back on the total amount of thousands of players representing WvW evry day.
I played Alpine 2,45 years after 5 minites of it i’m totally bored of the way it looks, it doesn’t offer anything new, it would work in a map-rotation but not as it is now.

i almost cried tears of joy shortly after roaming on the map, had more fun than ive had during group fights in the longest time. Everyone i was playing with was over the moon, surprised and hyped at the revival of alpine, thank you.

ok so lets trait n gear to heal a lord…. anyway… if the lord was scaled to a group of 10~ size u could wash with 3 cleric eles and it wouldnt pop up the lords hp much at all tbh. being able to rez a downstate or stomp a downstate lord, remembering both sides or what could happen from a downstate, still adds a lot of extra tactical play to the situation.
Still besides the point tho, lets not forget the real problem here. 90% of dedicated WvW players want the Alpine BL’s back.
ofc yes there are things that need attention first, i am not one to debate this FACT lolz its just an idea that would fall into what seems to be arena nets “engaging game play” concept :P
on a note related to the combat rez system, u can rez players while they are in downstate if you are in combat but can not rez fully downed players if you are in combat – ON THAT NOTE you shouldnt be able to rez the keep lords (in the current system) if you are in combat, however you can, and they rez very fast. This needs addressing also :P

Just a thought here that i have spoke to a lot of other ppl within the WvW community about and have had nothing but positive feed back.
What if keep lords had a downstate, much like the Stronghold lords in PvP? it would bring a larger field of play to taking down a lord, open up new (and old) tactics to keeping a keep lord alive while under attack, EG bring back the warrior banner for lord while in downstate, hard rezzing a lord if its a small team taking keep would be possible and give the defending team a second advantage. to compensate you could lower the lords scaling or overall HP as the enemy would have the abbility to stomp lord in downstate but could also be CC’ed from stomping…. etc etc etc..
Anyway, like i said at the start, all ppl i have spoke to about this like the idea from both attacking and defensive stances. please consider this, im no wizz with coding or anythimg to do with computer game scrip writing, or w/e (lol) but you alrdy have this in place with stronghold lords so it wouldnt be that hard to implement, would it?
they suck, no one complained about the older ones and everyone liked the older alpine ones. Why the hell have the alpine not been reinstated yet?
please for the love of god get rid of the new BLs or at least hold up your promise of rotating the BL’s. the only ppl that like the new BL are newer guys coming from PvE cause the new BL’s are, lets face it, nice PvE maps….. or guys who enjoy getting there faces shight faced by siege and dumb butt PPTactivators. i can not tell u many ppl from my long list of ppl i know, that enjoy playing the BL unless its solo or duo roaming to kill the scrub players that are clueless to fighting who try hard ppt in the BL’s.

Yeah, its becoming a joke tbh. This bug, the amount of time its been like this and the complete ignorance from devs to even give this matter attention. Why do we put money into this game when the very things we pay for do not get fixed? Yeah its a good game and yeah ill support it when i can and need to but this is taking the kitten now…….. Dont think ill be gemsing for a while.
^^ maybe arena net are back from holidays and start fixing things now, hey? FAITH! trololol. they need to fix this tho its a massive problem, no one from guiild has used arena since this kitten happened.

yeah, thats weird how some ppl can and others cant change the barrier status.

So yeah, cant place items in my arena, cant turn barrier off etc etc, ofc i have all rights as i am leader. Noticed this after completing and then trying to place – fear turrets – within the arena. Can still remove previous objects. please help
i would agree with rampage but he is being a bit blunt. players are “hardcore” WvW’ers for different reason. Some are hardcore PPT, others fight oriented, this map does however only accommodate the PPT/Defenders. i roamed all places on this new map and only found ONE good even place a well sized group could fight another well sized group and it happened to be next to a spawn point. PPK please, YES! it would help all types of the WvW player and stop a lot of internal drama over fight guilds being on servers.
This map is set up to accommodate the PPT/Defender/Capper WvW’er, thats just one side of the coin representing the WvW population it also seems one sided, borderline selfish and neglecting the other side of the coin representing the WvW population.
So i think a good question can be raised here.
What is going to be done for the other side of the coin?

Fails – The map is huge, objectives few and far between while being filled with PvE. 70% of my time was spent running from point to point or trying to find something i could do, in other words 70% of my time playing the game was wasted. even things like camp capping (going camping) is a turn off now, camps far apart and massive runs to get to them, my thought? Double the amount of camps on the map, half the amount of time deducted from the upgrade time per yak and place said new camps around the map in a fashion that would encourage camping again.
The map, its a maze, a try hard dynamic tiered map thats a confusing pain the cats shight hole. Sure over time you would learn all these passageways are lanes etc but just how long this will take and how much of a turn off it is, is scary to me.
The Fire, AIr, Earth w/e buffs u get from the little symbol w/every thingies are a massive pain in the cat as well as these force you to get them yourself due to enemy players maybe having these buffs alrdy ( you are doing away with guard stacks for this exact reason) all of the controlled knock back wind things are nothing more than a troll also, causing frustation if caught by them. ohh yeah, only managed to find one good place that 2 groups could have a nice open field scrap.
When i started i was excited for this new map but it didnt take long to get srsly bored, however, i tried to push through this and keep stepping forward. “Not backing down yet.”
I did however come across some very well designed champion bosses around the map, very good looking, new foes and amazing new skills and animations but oh wait, this is more PvE in the WvW map.
I consider myself hardcore WvW – meaning i dont PvE, have multi accounts on different servers spending all my game time playing WvW. This map ruins almost all of the reason i play WvW, single player roaming, zerg busting, blob fighting and chilling out somewhere with friends.
Beautifully looking map, yes, dont get me wrong tho, if this map is released – i cant see it not being released as the replacement for current borderlands after how much time and effort a have been put into it – i will be spending all off my time in EB. Who cares if its flat, mirrored or old, it delivers all the things i look for except my lovable cat room – R.I.P King catangorous -
but srsly – massive fail imo – EotM 2.0.
100% confirmed Boarderlands = Next WXP/Ktrain map and just somewhere competitive ppl will avoid

only friends i got that play this game live a LONG way away from me and atm im stuck in my house looking after my baby while my mrs is in hospital with the other kid cause he broke his femur shaft lol and from what i just read about “sneaker net” i get the impression i would need to transfer from there PC via some flash drive.

Long story short something is wrong with my ISP connection atm – i cant hold a DL stream from guild wars or any other downloads like this, it is my ISP, anyway. i can download at a constant stream torrent files for some strange reason. (slowly) is there anywhere i can DL the .dat file via anything resembling the way a torrent file downloads so i can get the updates that are stopping me from playing the game?
