Thanks for the advice Feirlista, I have indeed issued support tickets about this. Anet has always responded promptly and professionally, but they also have to follow procedure. So every time I have to list my pc specs, shut down non essential programs etc etc. Next time I’ll just send them a networkdiag file

Hi Sorasnobody, I’m sorry to hear you are experiencing problems with the game too.

I recommend you submit a ticket at customer support. These forums are monitored, but Customer Support will give you a much quicker response. I hope your issue is solved quickly, this really is a wonderful game. Good luck!

Yep, I have the same issue too. It takes 10 or so restarts before the launcher even comes up.

This problem is not just limited to Romania. I have been having this exact same issue since January this year. Every two weeks I need to waste 4 days downloading the newest patch. Every time I file a ticket I get asked to submit my pc specs, and shut down non-essential programs. I know that they are just doing they’re job, but I assure you it’s not my side where the problem is. I have an -image shortcut loaded, and as soon as I hit 0.00 I shut down and restart the program. So much for automation.

I cannot download the updates. My launcher slows down to 0.00 KB/sec and stays there. This is not my pc or my isp, since I can play other games and run speedtests just fine (while I’m getting 0.00kb from Anet).
Every time I report this to your customer support I get a pointless set of instructions to check my programs running in the back ground. It’s not me, Anet, it’s you. Please can you investigate what is holding up traffic to South Africa (I’m on the Aurora Glade server).

Also, during peak times lag becomes crazy. (or it was, last weekend) I have not been able to log in since the patch released on Tuesday. Very frustrating.

Well said OP! I am also a fan of the new content. Haven’t defeated either yet (Nor Tequatle the fifth Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle), but I enjoy group events and the semi-coordination that it breeds

I am also disappointed at the changes. The need to buy keys to possibly drop essences you could farm from killig mosquitoes baffles me. Suddenly the gamble isn’t so enticing.

Like playing 1c slots. What is the point precisely?

I would love a different voice for some of my characters. I get that it’s a bit of a job but maybe we could purchase ‘voice packs’ for gems or some such.

Admit it, you’d buy a Austrian Accent voicepack for your Norn Guardian.

The Embraced of Tyria is a new guild based on the Aurora Glade server.

Ask yourself, how often do you party up with guild members to run events or level characters? This game is best enjoyed in groups, and that is what the Embraced wish to encourage!

To that end we take great interest in ‘party play’. Especially in the formation of specialist groups.
All aspects of the wonderful game of Guild Wars are open to you. Find some like minded players and party up!

I am disappoint.

Just adding my voice to this post. I worked darn hard on getting those tears! I’m exceptionally upset that I didnt get what I paid for! Is there any response on this from Anet?
I would also like to either get my potion or my tears back.

And yes, the irony of tears for the theft of tears does not escape me
