This also works with backstab. If you’re running D/P, 5 → 2, then midway, use steal in order to backstab an enemy that’s far away.
Following a tag is definitely not necessary. You can easily coordinate attacks/defenses through /t or /m chat with anyone else on the map. If you were truly serious about helping out your server, you wouldn’t rely completely on “following the zerg”, as then you would leave keeps and towers defenseless and without lookouts.
I just got the achievement. The hotfix that ANet just released fixed the missing bauble issue.
W1Z3 Difficulty in targeting toad/necklace
in Super Adventure Box: Back to School

Is there a certain place I can click to definitely target the toad and not it’s necklace? Sometimes I double click on the toad to throw the jewel shard but I end up hitting the necklace instead, and sometimes I run up to the toad to get a jewel shard but end up hitting the toad and not the necklace.
I just put four pieces of chest armor into the forge and got shoulder armor back: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMxlReysNXw
Am I supposed to use all armors of the same type (all heavy, all medium, or all light) to get the same output?
I understand that when you combine items of the same tier, there is a chance for your forged item to be of a higher tier (ex. greens -> rares, rares -> exotics). However, the mystic forge allows you to combine both weapons and armors. That is where my confusion lies:
1) If I combine weapons and armor, will the resulting item be either weapon or armor?
2) If I combine all weapons, will the resulting item only be a weapon?
3) If I combine all weapons or armor of the same type (all daggers, all shoulder pieces, etc.), will the resulting item be that same type?
Thanks!
I was using D/P for a long time in PvE and I found myself dying and not doing as much damage (it took so long for me to kill stuff in Harathi Hinterlands). Switching to S/P with the same trait setup allowed me to kill faster. Yes, it isn’t as fun because you just stand in one place, blind, and whack away at the monster, but it makes completing hearts a lot easier.
Every time I enter an area where I see many aggro monsters (red named), I switch to shortbow and use the AoE from the autoattack to deal with the mobs (especially if I’m getting chased by a ton of them). Is there a way to deal with them using other weapon sets? I’m not sure, but it seems like anything with a dagger (and possibly sword) does more damage than the shortbow.
