THANK YOU. THANK YOU.
I don’t know about NA top players, but a BIG thank you from all the EU achieve hunters (I’ve asked about 15 others on top of board and we are all celebrating).
No more need to have your wife do your dailies when stuck late at work… No more need to make hotel reservations in hotels that have no limited internet access to online games. THANK YOU
It seems having daily frac runner 3 days ago retriggered something from the “fractured” update where we had fractal every day….
Indeed it worked for all people I know as well.
A friend didn’t get it when getting ascalon solo. Then he left the PT, entered ascalon again and got the daily fractal runner. This bug used to exist during the “Fractured” update everyday, I thought it had been fixed….. Sigh
Thanks for the quick reply
Recently, the achievement “Frequent Sprinter” awarding 5 regular achievement points as well as a loot bag has disappeared from the activity-sanctum sprint achievement list.
I believe this was not intended since:
- all other activities still have their repeatable achievements
- some people didn’t cap their achievement points yet in this repeatable achievement and such a change would be unfair
Could we have confirmation that this is indeed a bug and will be restored soon ?
Thank you.
Hey ^^
Even as a player who went down from 16th to 80th in the EU leaderboard with the patch, I definitely agree that the time other players spent in GW1 is something that was “achieved” and deserves recognition. So these rewards DO seem fit to me.
However, what I don’t agree with is the fact of changing it after all this time. If it was like this at the beginning, many players I know including myself would never have spent all this to earn points in the first place. Hundreds (if not thousands) of euros or dollars spent on the gemstore, as well as expensive internet connections during holiday travels to do dailies, could have avoided for many people on my contact list.
People on top of the list either had A LOT of play time or A LOT of real money to spend. Most of the people from the first category spent a lot of time on GW1 and didn’t get affected, however most people in the second category were too busy at the time of GW1 to climb the social ladder to have money to spend today on GW2.
As I said, I do agree that time spent supporting guild wars should be compensated. But will this small change have even the slightest impact on encouraging new players to join GW2 ? People who don’t play GW2 today won’t care about a few hundred achieve points. On the other hand, a small handful of players who hadn’t played GW1 and spent thousands of real money to stay high on points now have no other option but to change games to a new game where they can stay in the top (from what players said, buying GW1 and achieving 50 HoM points NOW is nearly impossible).
For the community, it’s a good move to reward ancient players. Economically, no new incomes but some of the biggest spenders leaving….
Why not offer HoM point upgrades for great amounts of gems? People who spent hours on GW1 will have bonuses for free. People who didn’t have time to play at that time will have to pay real money to compensate, but at least they will have a chance (3000 gems for every 5 points ? Sure I’d buy it today, and I know a big bunch of other people who would).

I believe it’s the 10 points from diving locations tier 4. 37/38 with new diving location. If somebody could confirm this, thanks.
I’ve been filing reports in-game every time I encounter a bug, but there are so many on my list now that I wondered if it wasn’t better to list here all I’ve noticed.
My game version is in ENGLISH (I know some tooltip bugs don’t exist in other languages)
- Guardian virtue recharge tooltip is not updated when recharge time is reduced by traits.
- Condition duration on hero stat panel is not modified when runes such as Mad King’s runes are equipped.
- Hunter signet speed buff icon still displays 10% instead of 25% (this has been fixed for some other client languages).
- When I scroll down on “My Story” page when I want to read my quest history, the list disappears when scrolling down after the list has attained a certain length (so end-game characters can’t read their 5-10 last quest histories)
- The pumpkin carver achievement but I guess you’re aware of that.
- When increasing mark radius for the necromancer with traits, in the tooltip and groundtargetting circle, only staff skill number 3 is changed (so 2, 4 and 5 marks are still displayed as 120 radius and not 240). When cast, the mark does have increased radius though.
- Necromancer trait which reduces Focus skill recharge by 20% affects tooltips for both skills number 4 and 5, but skill 4 does not really benefit from it (displays recharge 14 seconds but when used, a 18 second cooldown is started).
- One-time laurel purchases are ALL blank and disabled on my account even though I never bought any starting crafter kits.
- The dynamic event in Iron Marshes which gives access to the ogre pet whistle is bugged. After each maintenance, with guesting I tried on multiple servers, but NPCs just hang around the bridge.
If screenshots or further information is needed, please let me know. Some of these bugs have been reported a while ago so it would be nice to know somebody is actually paying attention to all those reports ^^
Thank you.
