I loved the new changes to Legendary weapons a while back, that added the functionality of being able to change the weapon stats when OoC “out of combat”.
So I ask this:
Could a sigil slot “bank” be added to legendaries? This would make them as my title says, even more legendary then they already are and even more desirable to work towards.
This is what I purpose:
Have a “sigil bank” added to the legendary, that acts just like the stats changer slot when OoC, but with the exception of having to actually buy/make/find the sigil and apply it yourself to the bank of sigils on the legendary. If you only want to ever use 1 sigil, then only apply the sigil you want, but if you are like me and would love to be able to change sigils depending on your build or pve/wvw situations, you would instead be able to buy/make/find all the sigils you want and apply them to the legendary for a “bank” of choices..
If this has been purposed in the past, disregard the post, but I think it would be a great addition to the legendary weapons.
Those that respond, “that’s one reason they added the removers”, you are just silly.

Though I hate the fact you use the term “terribads”, I completely agree with you. The fact so many people play the ranger in this fashion or make us seem to be a complete inferior class, just makes me smile. It just makes non-educated over-confident players not take 1v1s with rangers serious and leads to plenty of opportunities to show them their lack of knowledge.

I’ve run a similar build before using Rampager gear and a slightly different tactic to burst. SB & S/T (unbuffed ~65% crit)…….goes something like, daze/root, rao, bonfire>qz>and use pet F2 after having stacked 25might on pet from crits. It is squishy, but can be a fun change of playstyle for roaming. Or use the same setup that you have and use A/T & LB with say settler’s gear and a healing power rune setup, tossing traps and healing with TU for going zergstyle. I personally run about 6 different builds, using 0/30/30/10/0 and simply changing armor/accessory sets, pets, and weapon stats on my legendaries.

So getting a refund makes it ok? What if I changed my character from male to female and bought dyes to add to the armor? If I spent RL money on gems to get the 800, are they going to refund me my money? If I spent gold to get the 800 gems, am I going to get all my gold back? Gold > gem conversion spiked at this time and I doubt it is a good use of man hours to look through code to determine what the gold investment was to get the gems per person.
They screwed up, yes. However, to punish the people who bought the armor is not right either. Give all t3 cultural owners 800 gems and a pat on the butt and call it a day. As well as discontinue the sale of the armor on the gemstore as is. Move on, it’s a friggin game and stop crying about kitten

I think it would be a very nice addition to the game if Anet could implement a booster exchange merchant. I know many like myself have many many unused boosters rotting away in storage (like xp and crafter boosters). How nice would it be if you could exchange these boosters at a merchant for equal or lesser value (based off current gem cost) or 2 (75gem boosters) for 1 (150gem) booster. I know many will say that it impacts Anets source of real money from gem purchases, but I believe it could actually drive more revenue to them through an increased purchase rate of black lion keys for opening chests. Just my 2 pennies, let me know what my fellow players think and a DEV response would be really appreciated. Thanks

Can we please put the future/next southsun/dragon/pirate pointless update on hold and instead fix what is currently in the game now? I completely feel like there is a waste of human resources here, and I know what people will say, “they are different departments and they cannot help with those items”. Well then, teach them for kittens sake. Stop adding addition layers of complexity to something that needs fixed.
Can I have a pet skritt, so I have someone to talk to while I run around? His f2 could be an empty beer bottle to the head for a 2s daze.
Sometimes the builds never posted are actually the best ones. I personally run gear and a build that is not conventional (and rarely lose 1v1). He likely just tweaked the BM build of traits/skills and is running a mix of condi and healing power, maybe even Settler’s gear. Personally, I prefer to run builds that are not “meta” builds, so if skills or attributes are “nerfed” I am likely left unaffected.
Anet won’t let us keep our pets named when we stow them away and bring out new ones. Every time I swap pets, I say to myself in my head “sigh, this is such an easy fix an yet it’s been almost a year now”.
You give us rangers pet breeding and necros and eles want it too. A flesh golem with shooting barbs? Cool concept, but not practical unfortunately, at least at this stage of the game.
Pretty sure they already said no and/or its really not their concern to do so. Theres a Search feature at the top right, look up race change and you’ll see the same arguments over and over.
Btw, if cultural skins means cultural armors and weapons, ypu can preview them at any time, any level.
I understand all the points made in this thread, but the point is, they WOULD create an easy additional source of revenue in doing so. Who knows, maybe they have it up their sleeve for later when they needs the additional funds.
And in regards to the cultural skins, I made my main and have stuck with it since Beta, not many people would think to look at and consider all cultural skins ahead of time. Well anyways, thanks for the replies and I’ll just continue playing my character “as is”.
This has been suggested many times already, and personally, I don’t agree with race change. I and many others feel that if you didn’t realize you didn’t like the race you’re playing by the time you’re level 15 or so then that’s your fault. Adding such a feature in would effectively destroy the alt concept, which would cause starter zones to be almost empty.
As for your second question, no that’s not how it works. The only way currently to bring armor/weapons to an account bound state is by using the “transmute to white gear” method, and this is only useful for getting the skin.
You completely missed my rationale behind wanting to change race. So you can sit there and tell me, that by lvl 15, you knew all of your endgame cultural skin options and how some of the race skills work and may be more viable then others? If I have decided that I want to change a race purely for cultural skins or for a different set of race skills at lvl 80 and pay for it, why not?
And I think you are not understanding what I mean. I want to change my race NOT my profession, I will continue to play my ranger with multiple sets of gear and legendary, but I WOULD pay $$$$ for a race change is all I am saying.
It has been suggested before and I think the response was that it couldn’t be done due to the personal story part of your character identity. No doubt it would require a lot of developer resources to go back and change ‘hooks’ and isn’t financially viable at the moment. If they could make revenue off of it somehow and work out that the time to code and unhook racial story code would still be a good business decision and make them money I’m sure they would put a team on it eventually.
This is one of the reasons I really don’t like these personal story type things in modern MMOs. Linear solo experiences are becoming more and more prevalent in recent years and I don’t think it is good for the genre. If I want story I’ll play a single player RPG where the whole development has gone into the story and lore, not some half-baked MMO version. MMOs used to be about making your own story, not living someone elses script.
I do understand the whole time of devs vs $$ if this was a hard fix. That’s why I also stated,
“why not offer it only to lvl 80 character that have finished their storylines and only give them the benefits of the new race appearance/skills/cultural items and NOT change the storyline one bit.”???

Can ArenaNet put a “ReRace kit” in trading post for a gem fee? It could be a rather simple thing to do (at least in my head) and could generate a ton of revenue for the company.
I have some characters that I regret having one race and not the other, mostly for simple reasons like cultural gear/weapons/skills or general appearance.
Is there any plan on implementing something like this in the near future?? Sell a kit for the gem cost of say ~$15 and I guarantee thousands of kits would be sold. I know this would change personal storyline, but you could just reset the storyline to the first step and restart it with say no rewards, or simply make it keep the storyline of the original race.
A second question if this never comes to the TP.
If I put all my gear/weapons/legendary/soulbound stuff in storage and delete my character, do the items become unsoulbound since the character is nomore? This would allow someone to level a new race and switch the hard earned gear to the other new toon and soulbind to them.
A response from a Dev would be great.

IMO, the biggest thing is having appropriate AR for the lvl and knowing the fights and switching trait skills/utilities/pets for each fractal and/or boss. Micromanaging the pets and having one ranged and one tanky pet is what I tend to run. As far as my build/spec:
0/30/30/5/5
Armor: Rampagers 5/6, Berserker coat 1/6 (full divinity)
Acc: Berserker Neck & Earrings, Ascended Cav ring and Ascended Rabid ring, and Quiver of swift flight
SB: Dreamer w/ Sigil of Strength
Axe/torch, Axe/wh, sword/torch, sword/wh (depends on fights)
Foods/tools, depends on fights
I tend to run QZ, SotH, and a trap (varies)…..but I’ll switch up depending on boss/instance as well……. (i.e. Charr instance…..I will go with lots of toss traps until boss, then switch out)
This is all just preferential and my style for PVE….WvW is another setup
Some rangers prefer LB and GS or going full GC……I’d rather stay speedy and kite and do cond w/ decent “white” damage

Ever play Tecmo Bowl and run w/ Bo Jackson and just tap up and down and run for touchdowns all day long? (shows my age a little) It’s fun at first, but then boring as hell and nobody wants to play against you.
Playing the ranger is NOT like that, and that’s why I play it.

If this was not the server you’re talking about, completely disregard this, it was just a similar situation.
You can put a different sigil in the weapon after it is crafted, I changed mine and no apparent changes seen.
Would still love a clear answer from Anet regarding the transmuting of legendaries and if it will cause them to not get upgraded in the future.
I wonder if Anet just does not want to answer this question, because if they flat out say no, it will not be upgraded, then a lot of people are going to be highly kitten off if they did transmute already. I simply want a clear answer one way or the other from a dev, so I can move along. I am really fine one way or the other, just need to know my options. Thanks for the reply
Yes, I understand this and thanks for the reply. I knew this already, but what I do not know is if a dev ever said that if you transmute it now, you cannot get upgraded or revert it back to legendary when the time comes. I just fail to see why we cannot keep the weapon legendary and change out the stats. Every Tom, Dick, and Harry can reply to this, but unless it comes from a dev, I will simply leave mine alone until it is clear. Thanks
I recently acquired my legendary and would like to know what happens exactly from a dev if I transmute it for the stats of my old bow.
Why can’t we keep the legendary as a legendary and transmute in other stats? If we do transmute the weapon and when the ascended weapons are released, will be get the legendary buffed or are we stuck? I can live with the stats as is and change up my accessories to regain what I lost, but a clear answer from a dev would be greatly appreciated.

People that fail to see how good this increase is for PVE need to consider rerolling a class that plants their feet and goes toe to toe with mobs. Versatility and kiting is what playing a ranger is about. This will help make boss fights and killing regular mobs even faster, you could argue that it is a dps increase if utilized correctly with the shortbow. Positioning and repositioning is key for stacking 15-20 stacks of bleeds on a mob. This also helps with taking less damage while in melee, since many skills are frontal cone aoe. I love this new boost, I just wish I that my camera would snap around while kiting quickly, or have skills snap or ranger around to shoot while kiting with our backs to the mob. Our #3 Sb skill does this if utilized right though.
As far as pvp is concerned, this will be nice for the same reasons, plus so many more.
Just as the title says.
My brother-in-law had his account stolen. He pre-purchased the game months ago and linked it with his GW1 account. He had work related matters that did not allow him to start playing. He went to log-in for the first time tonight and all of his information had been changed, (account name for GW1 and GW2 and passwords). He can change the passwords via NCsoft master account access, but since the IP address was never verified and linked to his GW2 account and the email address associated with the GW2 account was changed, he cannot login to this website and retrieve his account. He did submit a ticket with serial numbers and account verification info, but I would like to know what else he can do to speed up this process. One would think that a master account would supercede a game account, but I guess not. So I guess all he can do for now, is change the pw via the master account, but the person (suspected gold farmer…..login info ends in @163.com, which is a japanese address) can immediately change the pw using GW2 website here. This makes no dam sense. Please someone shed some light on this, TY.
