Engineers are one of the adventurer classes without any real melee weapon… yet they have a shed load of close combat skills
(thump and flame turrets, just as an example) and even though the kits do a decent job, their the only medium class without any real stance in close combat. hell, Ive seen rangers go against their very name and charge in with great swords.
yes, engies should have a reduced number of weapons to balance with kits, but within reason. We only have 3 different weapons, and 2 of em are ranged and ones pure defensive.
so yeah, engies need hammers. repairing our turrets sounds a bit over powered, but it definatly fits the deal. remember, the biggest issue with wrench’s is that their too turret focused. just having the ability to run in for once with anything but a long range firearm or a tool is actually good :P
would be very valuable. a 250 cap would be very acceptable, as often im on about 5-30 after spending them, and i dont want to destroy to free up a bank space.

I love a challenging game, especially when you got that epic music in the background.
“Victory without sacrifice is not a victory at all” or something like that :P.
I support ^^.
I love story. unfortunately, most other members of the party simply wish to skip through cut scenes and combat, often leading to scalding or my death if i do not comply
. the ability to go through a dungeon slowly would be glorious from a story view (including the explore and story modes). Doing a dungeon solo would be a gratifying experience, and be especially valuable when other players do not wish to do the dungeon (arah being a prime example :P).
i support.
Before i go any further yes, i am aware that us engineers gain access to a variety of kits, and in which provide a large unique arsenal for the class.
However, the engineers get a very small selection of standard weaponry begins to be a bother in how they only really fit one role. Ranged damage. Although the flamethrower and bomb kits work effectively in close combat, the wrench is the only real melee method of attack for the engineers. Thieves and rangers get a reasonable arsenal of melee weaponry, so it would seem feasible.
Currently, the engineer only has access to pistols, rifles and shields, which can be replaced by their kits. Obviously, due to the ability to use kits, the weapon selection should not rival the massive selection that the warrior or any of the other classes have at their disposal, so I am suggesting one or at most, 2 additional standard melee equipment.
potential candidates:
-The hammer. Brilliant for bashing things in, from nails and rivets to your enemies.
-Mace. Although not typically used for construction, it could work well in combination with a pistol, allowing for knock back and/or dazing from a defensive view.
-Daggers. A less likely profession to use this weapon due to the number of classes already have this, but could be valuable for an engineer who likes to charge in and turn the enemy base into his/hers with sentries.
Although engies get a few kits (6, tool, bomb, grenade, elixir, flamethrower and med) which is reasonable, the main use of kits is to use them as a replacement to weapon switching, so at least 1 standard melee weapon would be valuable to the profession, without (hopefully) becoming unbalanced.
While the set is obtainable from story missions, the one way of obtaining it is too risky as most players either pick a different reward or end up selling or destroying it. even if they player does manage to keep hold of it, they only seem to get only 1 of each piece (the trousers work so well with many of my other sets).
hopefully, with the new frost and fire we should hopefully see a way to get the set.
fishing would be a great idea. although it may sound a boring, it was always good to team up with some other fishing fellows and have a good social experience, allowing us to talk and earn some valuable resources in the process.
