Stealth is the main functionality of the class and some of these suggestions are straight up dumb. May as well just be requesting the removal of the Thief profession because without it then we’ve become softer warriors.
These complaints feel like they come from WvW encounters which I find to be hollow. The gameplay of WvW as a whole isnt crumbling because a few thieves that like to ambush people rather than march with the zerg. Furthermore there are countless videos of people displaying incredible skill against thieves or as thieves so these should help those trying to forumlate a way to battle them. With all professions you know what you’re up against and you should know what to expect.
Its some kind of lag issue thats been popping up more frequently these past few weeks and there is no confirmed solution nor acknowledgement of the issue. I do know that plugging directly into the modem helps and i’ve heard of some 3rd party programs that direct your connection for optimal speed although these have a fee attached to them.
Same issue here man, I run off of GCI in Alaska and the game runs clean when directly plugged into the modem. Now my issues are not as severe but I do get intense ability delay and rubberbanding just a few minutes aftering logging on with a connection via router. Like most cases the game ran perfect from launch but this started to occur about 3 weeks ago and i’ve just delt with it while hoping for a fix or someone discovering a solution. I’m patient and hopeful it will be resolved, but it just really sucks cause this game gots my attention in a choke hold.
Its been about a month now with these constant spikes of lag ranging from two to three second ability delay all the way to rubberbanding interactions. I am a huge fan of the game and I’ve had no real complaints till now. I’ve explored all the options to the extent of my understanding as well as followed relateable posts in hopes for a solution. I can’t pinpoint the problem and was hoping for any other avenues leading toward a solution. Really love the game and I want to be part of the community as long as possible, but I can’t seem to shake this issue. Thanks in advance and look forward to your reply.
Well we’re a squishy melee class, if you’re not monitoring your HP or initiative constantly then you will make the blundered reveal mistake. Otherwise if this move is coupled with Shadow Rejuvination and Shadow Protector it turns into a emergency heal as well as escape. I do see your points thought, but it’s not an all bad skill.
Trinity Dagger from the personal story has a nice Bowie knife look that would couple well with the whisper pistol.
The changes to stealth seem valid and with the fix on Shadow Refuge there is no need to stack it above five. If you were to be attacked while in stealth it would maintain, it’s your auto attacks or mid flight projectiles that break stealth. At any rate there is no need to stealth longer than 12s because that is ample time to either escape or ambush.
The man’s right, Dagger Storm is easily countered by any form of immobilize, people just fear the twirl aspect of it and assume range is the safe measure which piles on the skills deceptive utility. And most thieves use this because it outshines other elites by a wide margin not only for aoe buy escape as well.
Solid changes with some buggy kinks. I believe it fair to require a full clear for rewards and for those who don’t have the foresight to set aside an allocated amount of time for a dungeon then perhaps they shouldn’t go on that run. I also don’t consider it a punishment for clearing to quickly. From all the complaints about difficulty I only see this affecting a minority and to that extent the minority has either grinder their share of items already and now it’s just a matter of vanity farming. Seriously , WTF. You bought the game and they are sculpting it away from the usual grind that is tagged with every mmo
