I think it was a typo. He meant “Mag skills.” Look at the context….. He’s complementing Mag on their ability to waste the enemies’ time and supply. There isn’t enough mention of PPT, excessive seige, or strategic retreats to be talking about TC’s skillset.

Lulz…SBI still mad. As an FYI – this has happened many times to FA. Usually it’s the old Tarnished Tuesday push, but it appears to have happened early this week.

Flashy let me try to briefly explain my difficulty in determining trolling or delusion. I find myself asking the following questions:

1. Does Mr. Gravy understand the actual meaning of “farming”?

- If not, determination of delusion or trolling would be difficult. I have not yet come to a conclusion on this particular question.

2. Is there a sense that Mr. Gravy my be overly emotional in his posts?

- This would limit the likelihood of trolling. Delusion and/or irrational anger would be a more likely scenario. I was leaning towards emotion with the nonsensical ramblings. But you make a good point…he could simply be a grumpy old drunk.

I shall further my assessment as more posting information is obtained. My apologies if Mr. Gravy is actually a Ms. Gravy. Also congratulations on the waypointed keep. I hope the PPT obtained from it was a delicious as your name.

First, RET really should not be bragging at all. They have been farmed badly by Baest and DR. You all should really rethink wearing all zerker gear. As far as DR. Beast farming Ret and Hope at their garrison the numbers advantage was in the favor of Ret/Hope but it wasn’t 2/1. Both guilds got repeatedly pushed back into their garrison and farmed for good half hour by Dr. Beast but I hardly doubt they will admit it. Got to keep that internet street cred up. Been a fun week and hoping to face kittenain soon.

Don’t give this guy credit, he is a well know hacker/botter. Basically a merc for hire who will tap that keep all day and night and glitch into the keep to destroy all siege. He was on Crystal Desert when we fought them, running between SM and Keep keeping them tapped for hours. SBI doesn’t want the hacks

We did have a dude on our garri for 12 hours on sat or sun! Dudes relentless.

That was me, and ive been doing it nightly since, but to a lesser extent. I grouped up with two FA guys throughout the matchup, a Ranger from RET and thief named Dues Ex Zongarr for some 1v1’s. In between the duels i’d take off to tag the keep and they both said the same thing, more or less:
“LOL, you’re that $#&%ing ranger whose been tagging our keep? You are making people in teamspeak rage!”

12 hours – that’s dedication. At first I questioned how you could have fun doing that for such an extended period, but then I remembered.

I just had another thought too – perhaps some guilds on TC would be interested in GvG if we decreased the headcount on our side. I might be able to convince Alaric to partake in a 15 v 20 or 20 v 30 if any of you guys are interested. At least it’d be a starting point. I can’t speak for the other guilds on FA.

Do you not think that fighting in such timezones (although very rewarding at times when being successful at ninjas and smart map hopping) doesn’t eventually lead to burnout?

I can only speak as an NA player here. I play to have fun, wipe zergs, and “get loot” so to speak. I like to win, but the ppt game is too much about coverage, and is therefore secondary to me. I think our SEA and Euro guys are fantastic. I’m appreciative of every tower, camp, and keep I have when I log on. If they’re feeling some burnout, they need to take a break or forget about the score. This is a video game after all.

We’ll go to the tier we belong in. I’m confident that if we’re at risk of dropping to T3, you’ll see people pull out the stops to make sure that doesn’t happen. If we can’t make that happen, we’ll drop to T3 and I’ll find some enjoyment there.

I couldn’t agree more. I see some discussion of how this week is a 1v1 and it isn’t good for the tier or competitive. Based on my personal experience this week I can only conclude two things.
1. I’ve been rolled over multiple times by KN and TC guilds, so this definitely isn’t a 1v1.
2. There’s a 30k gap between 1st and 3rd. Looks pretty competitive to me.

On another note, I’d personally like to see the outmanned buff mess with the ppt a little bit (ie, you can’t generate an overwhelming lead if you greatly outnumber your opponents for a period of time.) I’m sure there are plenty of flaws in my way of thinking, but it’s something I’d be interested to see play out.

As for looking for good fights, there were plenty of good fights had because we wiped all the FA and all of their reinforcements in the keep first.

I remember camping outside hills killing every FA who tried to come in while Blackgate worked on inner – plenty of good fights were had then!

Strategy. Looking at TC’s match history, we are very good at staying in T2 for extended periods of time and having lots of good fights because of it. The server who loses the most is the one that gets bumped down to a tier where the fights dissappear after reset night due to steamroll.

So to summarize – you classify “good fights” as those in which the server you are focusing is being double teamed. You don’t think you’re good enough/have enough coverage to win, so you play for second. If you succeed in your strategy, you stay in your tier, and get 2nd place every week.

You’re correct – this is a legit strategy if you’re on the bubble of moving down a tier. If you’re not, it’s just defeatist. Congratulations on your 2nd place success in T2.

I remember many of those times. We would come in, kill FA and then leave the keep for BG because we wanted them to remain a presence in that BG so we could maximize our PPT against FA. That is called strategy, because as you guys have already pointed out TC plays to maximize PPT.

You allow 1st place to keep points and make sure 3rd place doesn’t get them. You’re right – that is a strategy. That’s exactly how you “win” 2nd place. Looking at TC’s match history, you’re very good at 2nd place.

Honest question here….. Why do you care about maximizing PPT? If you aren’t playing to win, then I’m pretty sure the score doesn’t matter. Why not just look for good fights?
