FENX – From the Ashes Risen is looking to expand our numbers. We are currently a small guild with a core group that has been together since GW2 started. FENX is a guild that goes back over 8 years started in GW1. We are a mature guild that focus on PvX and having fun. We dabble in Dungeons, Fractals, World Boss Runs, helping each other with world completion, living story, etc. We have our own Teamspeak server and its highly recommended that members join comms to get involved in the group. We don’t want members, we want to establish new and lasting friendships.
We are looking to build our numbers of friends to get set for the expansion while helping one another. We don’t care if your new to the game or a vet from day one. If your willing to be interactive and have a similar enjoyment of helping and running as a guild, hit me up in game. The only thing we want you to bring to the guild is yourself.
We are mostly in US time zones with a few Euro and Pacific time zone members as well.
Hope to hear from you,
Draco Aine
Unless he has so many gold e-mails that he can’t get to the dye e-mail.
The problem he described was gold transfers between personal guild bank. So, yeah maybe he was getting gold emails as well. However, if that was the case he would not even know he got the dye email until he was able to clear the gold emails.
I received no gold in e-mails except maybe 40 gold i moved from one account to another, and 5 gold i lent a guildie. I believe i moved the 40 gold earlier in the week or last weekend. Not concerned about the 3 silver dye or the 5 gold in my mail back from the loan. i can wait on that, just the principal. I did withdraw substantial amounts from one of my guild banks to place buy orders on TP items.
Then if someone mailed you a dye you should have no problem withdrawing that dye. Can you post a screen shot of the mail with the dye you can’t withdraw? Maybe it is a bug as suggested by someone earlier.
i can’t get the 5 gold either from my mail. it is what it is, just have to get all my funds out of my personal guilds, that’s going o take weeks and that sucks.

i am not liking this what so ever. I pulled out 400 gold to buy some items on the market and between what i normally buy, sell, take profit and deposit in personal guild banks, i reached the max and cant get items in my mail. I think 500 gold is not enough, make it 1000 and it would be easier for people who buy and sell expensive items on the market some room without having to hold all the money they have on them at all times.
Again, seems like the players get punished instead of focusing on the reason we have to have these security issues in place. Would love to see more gold sellers getting banned. I go into a town and i start to get whispers one after another. If this were to happen in the real world, put the good people in prison to keep them safe from the crooks.Wait, I’m confused. You withdrew 400g from your personal guild bank, bought and sold some items on the TP, deposited some gold, and went to withdraw some more, but hit the cap?
Or were you buying and selling items outside of the TP, and hit the mail cap?
If its the former, TP profits aren’t effected. And items/gold don’t come in the mail.
If it’s the latter, well P2P trading isn’t supported and strongly discouraged, so you were prevented from doing something you shouldn’t really be doing in the first place.
No, i pulled gold out of my personal bank to buy items on the TP. Must of pulled must of hit cap between deposition earlier in the week or might of pulled out funds throughout the week. I usually deposit funds in only of my banks to hold and not have too much gold on my character. Found out the max was hit when i tried to take a dye worth all of 3 silver out of my mail someone sent me.

I personally don’t care for a daily achievement quest per say, but i think this can become interesting if implemented in the right way. I wouldn’t go and do a daily quest if will take an hour or so. Now, if the ‘Quest’ was something like a Heart Quest, that takes 5-10 minutes, and be fun to do, yet challenging, it might be awesome! Maybe include longer or larger quests for a Monthly Achievement under a separate category. Also, have the rewards be consistent with the time and challenge put into it. Maybe have the daily drop a Rare item, or a few Masterwork items. The Monthly, or larger/longer ones drop a Rare and a few others with a small chance of an exotic. There have been talks of scavenger hunts, this would be interesting as well implemented into it. Just something different then the find a person to kill, or some escort.
Just my two cents for what that’s worth on this idea.
PS: Nice post, well though out and nice to see that the comments are constructive as well.
From the Ashes Risen [FENX] is an 8 year old guild started in GW1. We are a small to medium guild with a core set of players from the beginning of GW2. We focus on PvE that enjoys some PvP with our own server we use for daily’s and helping one another with builds. We dabble in WvWvW and dungeons.
Our focus is FUN. We do not require 100% rep, but highly recommend you join us on our own Teamspeak server.
We enjoy helping new players and veterans alike. We offer a drama free guild that enjoys busting each others chops in game while enjoying the game.
We have guild missions, dungeon running, PvP & WvWvW evenings.
Come join the fun in a relaxed atmosphere where Fun is the focus.
Hit me up in game via whisper or mail.
We are on Borlis Pass but taking members from all servers.
Hope to hear from you,

I think the September ‘Feature Pack’ is awesome! It finally fixes and adjusts things that have been needed.
It is a shame & ANET should be embarrassed that this what they present to us for a 2 year anniversary…fixes, updates, balances and oh, a backpack!
I guess the rumors are true, we wont see any real content added to the game, or continuation of the crafting professions until ANET (NCSoft) see’s their quarterly profits dropping. If we are all happy and spending money on them, whey should they give us the good stuff before they need to?
I still have some hope that something interesting still has yet to be announced, but not holding my breath.
At the same time, i would like to thank ANET developers for doing a lot of hard work and making a great game. I’m sure there are certain restrictions on what you can deliver to the community, being held up by upper management.
FENX – From The Ashes Risen. FENX is another way of saying Phoenix. We began as a small group of friends, mostly from Guild Wars 1. We have kept that friendship strong and have grown to include many new friends since Guild Wars 2 was still in beta. We use teamspeak 3 daily to improve the gaming experience, and encourage all new members to join us there.
We play casually, and Guild bounties and missions as well as daily and monthly events are done together as much as possible. All members receive help if they need it, and we do not have unrealistic requirements to be a part of our group. We respect that members have other friendships and obligations, and because we are all here to relax and have fun, we ask nothing more than for our members represent only during guild missions, bounties, or wvw if we are running together.
Quite a few of us also play other games, so we’re quite versatile!
If your interested in checking us out, please feel free to send me a mail in game

It’s just that, people buy on speculation. People in early will make money on speculation. Those late in the game will lose. Just like stocks.
Investing in something that you feel should be worth more can be smart, yet a long hold. Make a decent percentage return. Speculating is not caring what the truth is on the idea, nor what or why it is priced where its priced. Making a bigger profit if correct, or just get out when they are in decent profit in a short time to move to the next idea. It happens through out all markets in real life and in games that have any semblance of a people fueled economy.
We have picked up a few great members the past week, looking for a few more to join us in a laid back guild who’s members just like to have a good time and laugh while helping (or getting help) from other guildies.
Please whisper or mail me in game.
Looking forward to meeting you.

Same here on Borlis Pass, but i agree with Theos, probably not isolated on one server.
FENX is on the Borlis Pass US server.
We began as a small group of friends, mostly from Guild Wars 1. We have kept that friendship strong and have grown to include many new friends since Guild Wars 2 was still in beta. We use Teamspeak 3 daily to improve the gaming experience, and encourage all new members to join us there.

We respect that members have other friendships and obligations, and we are all here to relax and have fun.
We have our own Teamspeak 3 server at no cost to the guild. We also just recently put up our website:
http://www.fenx-fromtheashesrisen.com/evo2/index.php
We have a few ‘sister’ guilds that we run some events with and will rep one another depending on who’s running events.
We enjoy running PVE events:
– World Bosses
– Living Story events
– Guild Bounties and Treks (working on unlocking Guild Puzzle)
– FTOM & Dungeons
– Personal story’s
– Running Daily’s & Monthly’s
We also have many members that enjoy WvW as well as a ‘sister’ guild whose focuses is on this.
Our Guild also has it’s own PvP server to run daily’s and help one another become more proficient with different skills and new character builds.
We DO NOT require:
– 100% representation, we understand and encourage our members to have other guilds they enjoy running with. Most of our guildies have memberships with the other guilds that we run with as well.
– Activity every day, Again, we understand that people have a life outside of the game and people play other games, just hop on Teamspeak here and there and say hi.
– Members be on Teamspeak. We encourage that members hop on Teamspeak, members get more out of the guild as an active voice member. It is also very helpful when running events and getting and/or giving help to other members.
We DO require:
– To have fun, this is a game, games are played to have fun.
– To try to help one another the best we can.
– If your going to be on Teamspeak, you have to be able to bust each others chops, this happens all the time.
We are looking for new members or even small groups to join us.
We also welcome other small guild friendships so we can help each other.
If you are interested or have any questions, please feel free to message me in game.

Translation
All MMO features are subject to change for balancing or design purposes. Don’t like it, don’t play MMOs. Or many other games for that matter.
It’s not like they do it every day. This is a change that rarely happens.
I understand that things change, change is important. Just feel cheated with the way this change is being brought about. I believe that I speak for a lot of people that have invested heavily into MF. I think more thought should of been put into place with this change by ANET.
And for the purpose of balancing, most MMO’s that are hack & slash types have magic find types of setups. Never saw a game (not saying that there is none) that removed MF the way ANET is doing it. I can be wrong, but i have seen MF work real well in many other games.
Translation that ANET gave Martin the dubious job to deliver this wonderful news to the masses:
Hey all, no worries, we got you covered.
TRANSLATION: Hey, no worries, We found some laughs in screwing you and your MF.
Weapons, armor and trinkets with magic find will become account bound, lose their current stats and will gain the ability to be double-clicked to select one of several stat options depending on the item.
TRANSLATION: All your MF gear will become worthless items that you can change into something you already have or don’t need.
For example, if you have an Explorer’s Pearl Staff, you can now double-click it to change it to any other crafting stat.
TRANSLATION: Your Explorer’s Pearl Staff, you can now double-click it to change it into another useless item you already have.
We will have a blog post about it with more extensive information as well, keep an eye on the website.
TRANSLATION: “We’ll keep laughing at you and your accumulated MF that you worked hard for and spend a whole lot of gold and laurels on, like a few months of laurels (LOL).”
Quite disappointing, so everything we spent on MF becomes crap and we restart with the few percentage points of MF that we have accumulated from the achievement box’s we received.
Hey Martin, did you guys have to draw straws to see who would deliver this news to the masses and have their name on the post?
