I believe there are a few changes that can be made. Without the need for super high crit percentage in death shroud, I have been thinking of adding in some cavalier’s trinkets with some berserker and knights gear. Nothing final on my part yet, just thinking it up at this point.
isnt rampager armor a problem too? You do have tons of HP, but don’t you go down super fast?
I make one clover at a time myself. That way, im not putting so much resources into one gamble.
Bumping this thread
Im not talking a full blown spectator mode in PvE. Im talking about implementing the same exact thing Gw1 had.
We know that PvP is getting a spectator mode, but we need something where we can follow around our teammates when we are dead in PvE. I cant tell you how boring it is when you die in the middle of no where while your teammates are battling a boss, for example. It is not fun staring at your dead body for 5+ minutes. (this can happen in fractals and dungeons quite frequently). It would be nice if we got something that is the same as what GW1 had in place.
Geez guys give the guy a break. Why do you always think that everyone is in the wrong if they get banned. You guys take the guilty until proven innocent approach. Its supposed to be the other way around.
gassy, he said their guild leader is getting banned for taking donations to help pay for WvW. There is nothing in the EULA that says we can’t send gold through the mail to people. I think what is happening is Anet thinks that you guild leader is buying gold. But even then, its not like one person would be giving him 100g+
Another bump for the thread
Here is a nice bump
thats actually fine. Our peak seems to be a little later than that, but we have recruited in such a way that we should always have people on. Ill sent you an invite. Make sure to contact Rumzum or Felix Hever so we can change your rank accordingly.
Demon Hunterz [DH] is recruiting! We are looking for members that want to do WvW, PvE, fractals and dungeons. We currently have a 310+ people and a very big vent server. Players of all skill levels are welcome! Message Felix Hever or Mj the Toker in game if you are interested. Send us mail if we are not online.
Edit: We currently need day members (12:00-4:00 EST)

I dont know if this is the right forum but I will ask it anyway. Is world transfer based on current population logged on, or current server population? The reason I am asking this is our guild just transferred, in this case at the price of 1k. I tried to transfer 15 minutes later and it was bumped up to 1.8k.
Eh, its not something that will stop me from playing the game. Its just annoying that I got a graphic card that is leagues better than my old 9800gt and see no gain in performance whatsoever. Just baffles me that these developers didn’t utilize graphics cards more than they do. I would have waited another six months if it meant these things would have been worked out.
I already said it, frame rate is not my problem. I already know what operations the CPU handles and adjusted my settings accordingly. I guess it does use all cores, but on my Phenom 2 I get one core that spikes to around 90%-100%, while the others are at a steady 40-50%. If the game could use all four cores at around 70% ish, I would have to believe I would have no problems maxing out the game.
(edited by DragonXavier.3964)
I know this has brought up many times, but has anyone found a way to get more than one core working in GW2? Im not having any problems running the game. In fact, I can average over 45fps in most of PVE with everything maxed except shaders and post processing with a phenom 2 X4 at 3.33 and a GTX 660 SC. Just curious if anyone has any solutions.
There are a few issues that you must realize when selling something.
1. An item is usually worth more than what the minimum seller is trying to buy it for. If I am buying items that I am trying to get profit off of/ for luxury purposes, I will try to pull a fast one and buy it for a much lower price than it is really worth.
2. The demand of your item. Realistically, how many people are buying a Berma BL Merch contract? Demand on this product can’t be that high, but neither is the supply.
3. How much the item is worth to you. If you think think you can squeeze an extra 50g out of it, fine. Just realize that, as demand for the item is not that high, it will be sitting there for a while. Undercutting becomes more and more likely the longer it sits, unless you get very lucky.
Personally, I would not sell it at the 100g price, but I would not sell it at 150g either. I would probably try to sell the item at around 120g-135g. Sure, you may have lost some money, but if you get undercut really bad you would lose even more. This is just my opinion though, take it with what you think it is worth.
I am all for thieves getting a buff. Hell, increase their Hp and toughness by 1k points each , I don’t care. The only thing I have a problem with is stealth and steal. I believe GW2 is the only game I have every played where you could slash a guy, then go into stealth and repeat this process three or four times. It makes it so that you have to be a MUCH better player than said thief to win. In regards to steal, I have a problem with skull fear in general. Why do thieves steal a fear that is 3X longer than a necros standard fear. It is like we were holding a dagger and they managed to steal a great sword.
I will do February 17th’s AC run with you guys. Add me in game
Well I talked to [DH] guild. They are sorry and they will not do that again.
They said that they thought its a normal thing like mesmer portals in WvW and they thought everyone used them as they did.
So we are done with that.
And it was fun taking SH from you SFs then heading back to EB to push you back :P.
First of all, you talked to one member of [DH]. There may have been a few that may have been exploiting (I have not seen any pics, video or anything) but the majority of us did not even know what you were talking about when the information was relayed to us.
Ax 2 hits about 1k more than dagger 2 in my tests. I hit about 3k with dagger 2 and around 4k with ax 2. I’m sure you can hit a lot more than that if you are speced as a berserker.
I actually run a similar build but with 5 less points in spite and blood magic, Reapers Might instead of Signet of Power and 10 points in soul reaping. I find that it gives you even more survivability and some more damage if you use DS right. To answer Dredlord, I think Crit rate goes up in DS because at 9% I crit at least once every time I go into it.
They should have to destroy it just like any other class has to. Imagine if I’m holding your hand, and you go stealth. Would I not be able to feel your hand anymore? Would it be so hard to make it act like longbow 2, where it can detect the target if they are binded before stealth?
(edited by DragonXavier.3964)
Im not really one to complain that much, but seriously, why is a thief allowed (or mesmer for that matter) to stealth out of binding roots? I cant GS 3 out of it with my ranger, why should they be able to get out of it?
Yeah I did the math on Signet of Spite and you are definitely correct. it only adds 400 or so damage to a rendering claws attack. 350 power from bip will definitely add more than that. I still think ax is the best weapon you can use if you want to be able to survive as a glass cannon.
I would probably scrap spectral armor, as its relatively long cooldown and short effect makes it almost useless. Specral walk is a pretty good skill if you use its recall correctly. Would consider blood is power as it will add 1400 hp to your heal. I also would consider soul marks instead of decaying swarm. Not a bad start though
To utilize chilling of darkness I probably would go with plague form. My question to you would be, what do you want to accomplish with this build?
Axe/Focus can be used as a setup weapon for direct damage builds that utilize DS, outside of that niche axe is generally a worse choice then any other weapons we have.
I dont know about that. Run a build that focuses on vulnerability, power and precision and you can do a decent amount of damage. Run something like this and you can get around 3-5k damage from one ax 2. It also has a lot more survivability than one might think. Dont quote me on this build build I just threw it together a few days ago.

You can join Demon Hunterz. We just started recruiting in the last week or so and have gained around 50 members looking to expand more. We are mainly a WvW guild who will bring Eredon Terrace out of the cellar. You can contact either me or Rumzum in game.
Good build. If I were you I would probably switch out Vampiric Precision with Death Invigoration.
Im just talking about a little incentive for them to play. You could add the ability for them to have all skills and all traits, but I just think the armor issue is the biggest difference between say a lvl 40 player and lvl 80. The game does scale traits up, but not armor. Another idea I just thought up is to scale individual armor up. For example, if they are lvl 60 wearing full exotic lvl 60 armor, it would scale up to the lvl 80 exotic equivalent. If they were lvl 60 wearing full rare lvl 55 armor, it would scale up to lvl 75 rare (subtract actual level by armor level, and subtract that from 80, that is what their armor is scaled up to).
In its current state, it is very easy to kill under leveled characters in WvW. Wouldn’t it be cool if, sometime in the future, under leveled characters got some love in WvW? What i am suggesting is WvW bound armor of rare quality (not exotic, I still believe there should be some advantage) that has the same stats as the WvW armor does that you can buy. This might encourage some of the PvE players, who may not be level 80 yet, to come out and help their server in WvW.
Easy. You dont spend money. I get all my seige from the jumping puzzle and badges. You dont always have to be the one supplying siege to your team.
Today I figured out a glitch with jumping and dodging. If you time it just right (maybe .2 seconds after you jump) you can actually jump then dodge mid jump. I also noticed that on rare cases I was able to jump then use lightning reflexes to create the same effect. (although this was very difficult to do, while the other is not). Now, I dont know if this can be used to exploit anything, but it does look a little silly for a character to do a second jump flip in mid air.
Edit: From what I can tell, it looks like this bug only adds height to the asura jump, the rest just do their dodge in mid air.

im just hoping this is something that is going to be looked at or im never using headphones in WvW again. Luckily, the ones Im using right now are still in warranty.
Definitely the headphones. Tried it in other devices with the same sound quality.
I dont know if this has happened to anyone else, but the massive amounts of sounds in WvW actually broke my headphones. No joke, one second they are fine and then when I entered a big battle (50-100 people) my headphones cut in and out after a while. I have had this happen once before (only from this game mind you) but it would go away after restart. This time, however, the headphones are complete trash even after restart.
