Alright! My friend got in, around midnight
– Vick Frayn- Elementalist.
But..but…. I’ve never had probs with my ele..
– Vick Frayn- Elementalist.
Yea, guess so, can’t believe most of the servers are so high in population 2.5 months after release.. go GW2! And some people whine about the lack of players..
– Vick Frayn- Elementalist.
So my friend just created a GW2 account, and I already have one and I’ve been playing on Jade Quarry since the start, well not really, I started in dragonbrand and transferred to JQ, and most of the servers are full right now….. Should he try to get in on like a Monday when people are out for work/school/etc? Is there a chance JQ will be free then? We really wanna play together and the new update is 5 days away…. I dunno if he’ll play alone till then…. Any thoughts?

Okay so I’m gonna create a new topic and rant about ALL the kittenz thas brokez yo. Seems rant topics get all the attention. I’m fine with that. I just want new players to NOT be turned off by all those negative remarks, they should look at the good side as well. Forums are not only for complaints you know. Discussions com in two forms. Just saying.

I do not think these are game changingly bad features…. Just issues… I’m sure these things can be fixed. The game at its core is still impressive and I won’t leave it anytime soon. If you do, I hope you find your dream game! Good luck!

Well one word buddy- Asura. They’re Amazing. Dunno about the other races, but this was my experience of the game.
– Vick Frayn- Elementalist.
I think 10-man Raids could be cool, provided it has some armor to reap and areas to explore. This would allow Anet to make hard content without casual gamer complaints. Also, they could add this as an “Elite” mode, but NOT with the same type of dungeons.
Imagine a more difficult Arah exp, with 10 people. 0.o. I too feel that with all my exotics, there’s nothing to use em for… But more than 10 people would lag given the game’s particle effects and it would really be stupid if there were 20 people…

Forget combat, every game has first person and no one uses it in combat.. I would LOVE to see a first person camera mode because I’m sort of a beauty lover/ screenie junkie.

Thank you! I hope you enjoy yourself as well!

Hmm… so yea, That’s Pretty much it.
Conclusion- I have to say, Guild wars 2 is one of the most amazing games out there and it has an AMAZING future… There a few issues right now, but I think most things that are wrong can be fixed..
So in the end, as for the game RIGHT now, I would give it an 8.5 or 9/10, it is truly impressive and a huge leap in MMO evolution. I don’t see myself leaving GW2, 200$ well spent. Thumbs up ANET!!!!

Story
Pros- I have to say, the story, voice acting, characters, etc are really good……
Cons – …… till level 50. When Trahearne took over and I realised I won’t lead the pact with Destiny’s edge, I really lost interest in the story… I’m sure many people agree.
7/10.
PvP – As I said, I’m a casual PvE guy, haven’t tried PvP yet.

End game-
Pros- I’m not really a hardcore gamer, but most of the dungeons are quite easy and it isn’t too hard to get exotics. Also, there are achievements and map completion as well for the curious kind. 6/10
Cons- I will say that the dungeons are sort of imbalanced right now and herein lies one of my biggest complaints. Some dungeons are easy, and some are totally hard, but the rewards are the same. Many dungeons are bugged, and I would really like to see ALL the different armor sets for ALL attributes.. As an ele, I pretty much find myself unwilling to do CM or HotW or some of the ones that don’t award Power gear. (Btw, I hate u arah!) Apart from dungeons, there really isnt much to do for me, as a casual gamer… More content needed.
WvWvW
Pros- Wouldn’t know, I get 30 FPS on max settings in the PvE world, and 4 FPS on the lowest of settings in WvW…. Can’t do much but defend supplies, but the idea seems fun. 8/10

Hello all!
Okay, today, I felt like giving you guys a very honest review of Guild wars 2, I’m gonna go quite deep, so WARNING- Spoilers and wall of text!!!! I will be rating major features with numbers, along with their pros and cons. So rejoice at the pros and try to take something good out of the cons.
Firstly, Character Creation-
Pros- With beautiful music and amazing artwork, I have to say my first 5 minutes into the game were breathtaking. With tons of options, 8 professions, 5 races and a detailed dye system, I’m glad to be giving it a 9/10.
Cons- None for me.
Game-play -
Pros- My first few levels were quite amazing. I was just running around feeding cows and BAM! Giant worm!! Skills flying everywhere!! This sort of stuff I love, and am glad to see are spread throughout all levels and zones. The game plays very smooth, and there’s a lot of attention to detail.. discoverable elements like vistas and skill points help seal the deal as well. The map is amazingly fluid, the game plays like a charm, and the interface is very good as well. 8.5/10
Cons- I have to admit, in a while, things seem to get a bit repetitive. The fact that the same terrain is shared by 2-4 zones aren’t helping either. After you unlock all of your skills, which can be done very early on, there is a bit of a lack of skill progression.
Combat-
Pros- The combat is very fluid and really fun. Many fights actually require player skill, with awesome dodge functions and weapon/attunement/kit swaps. I was afraid of how this would play out in dungeons and PvP, but it works quite well. 8.5/10
Cons- Like I said, once you learn all of your skills, it does get a bit repetitive. This sort of combat system really requires a large variety of weapons, which currently may not be enough for some classes.
Music-
Pros- It’s Jeremey Soule. 9.5/10.
Cons- Come on…. It’s Jeremey soule, strike off cons.
Visual elements-
Pros- The graphics and the art style are AMAZING. I remember once, I got into my town clothes, disabled the UI and ran across a whole map and let me tell you, it was REALLY fun. 9/10.
Cons- Not much, but I do feel way points sort of prevent me from taking in some of the beautiful sceneries.

Hey guys!!
So I played WvW for a bit, it was really fun, I captured a few camps and stuff, so I tried doing it regularly, I really like the idea of massive war battles, but let me tell you, WvW wars LAG LIKE HELL…. My PC met the req specs be4, I couldn’t go past med, so I upgraded with a bunch of cash, like 200$, and I could run things smoothly on max settings, with no lag in the PvE world.
So after the upgrade, I go in, and things really started to lag, so I turned it down to the lowest possible settings and I got 4fps…. seriously, after all those upgrades, I couldn’t even play a really unique feature I was looking forward to.. Meh.. Guess ill stick to PvE or tiny fights then….
And no, I don’t wanna upgrade it any more. I’m already buying the Collector’s Edition :P

Do what I just did.. go to the Guild Wars 1 Wiki.. tons of info there.
– Vick Frayn- Elementalist.
0.o I dunno man, I’ve done 14 (Fourteen) Twilight arbor runs, and have the shoulders and leggins, and I almost have the dagger… It was never quite that hard… But they should add more waypoints though.
– Vick Frayn- Elementalist.
And god kitten I’m so proud that I’ve killed Giganticus the legit way.
And I love how inappropriate words turn to “kitten”.

What?!? I have the AC gloves and Staff, which is roughly 570 pts, and i got that in less than a week, doing a random 2 paths per day… I never had trouble at AC, ARAH on the other hand, I tried for a week and I’ve only been able to complete it twice after trying four times…
– Vick Frayn- Elementalist.
Well i did a group Arah with my guild, ( WPAK, like 480 members :P) Full Team Speak, and it was fun and took like no time.. but of course that was path 3, dunno bout path 2, hate it.
– Vick Frayn- Elementalist.
Yea, seems like PUGs are a real NONO in Arah… would help if Arah gear was better than the rest. Still a shame though, 4 hours and nothing
– Vick Frayn- Elementalist.
lol wth? I’m full exotic and the most I’ve done is 2.5k XD
– Vick Frayn- Elementalist.
Hello all,
After “farming” many dungeons, all I needed was a chest piece from Arah.
I got 5 pieces from different dungeons in 2 weeks, and I’ve got only 120 tokens from Arah in a week. The thing is, no one wants to do Arah. Even if they do, anything but path 3 is not a viable option it seems…
So today, I just wanted to try path 2 (Mursaat) after spending 1.5 hours to get to Giganticus, we spent another 45 mins killing him… He is just too hard right now, and everyone glitches him…. but we did kill him.
Then thinking the worst is behind us, we went to the last boss, Alphad, Serpent of the Waves and we wiped OVER and OVER again… we tried for a WHOLE hour and a half, to no avail, I had 1.2 gold coming in, at the end I had 30 silver, because of the repair bills. So finally, it was getting late and we decided to give up after FOUR HOURS of nonstop trying.. and got nothing, in fact, we lost a ton of money and a lot of time….. seriously… if this was intended, this is NOT a good design…
Arah needs a revamp.. OR, introduce a new mode, so it would be Story-Explorable> Hard/10-man Raid.. because AFTER all this, I cant do anything with those exotic armor sets.
– Vick Frayn- Elementalist.
^ That is a brilliant idea IMHO
– Vick Frayn- Elementalist.
Umm OP, It is true that most games don’t allow you to be the hero people talk about and build statues for the player, and we made do with the fact that at least we know what we did, we know we’re the true heroes and that sort of stuff, but Guild wars 2 wanted to CHANGE that, it WANTED to make us the hero, it promised that it would make it so, if this was just another MMO, this thread wouldn’t exist. So think about that.
– Vick Frayn- Elementalist.
I think mounts would make the game more “alive” and immersive, they could reduce the no.of waypoints by a bit and add mounts, cuz i don’t like being in one spot now, and being in another a couple of seconds later, it breaks immersion for me and prevents me from taking in the beautiful world. I would run, but that feels boring and we don’t have a perma speed buff, this is what mounts would be…
And about the mounts wont fit into Tyria for RPers kinda thing… So in a time of swords and shields and bows, rocket launchers, choppers, submarines and airships do?

SPOILERS Ahead!!!
Hello everyone, I just wanted to talk about a character who is much hated, and perhaps rightly so.
You all know I’m talking about Trahearne, the wimpy scholar who knew things about Orr, and then received a sword and took over the orders and our story. ( He did not unite the orders, we did.) He does not look inspiring or talk inspiring, he just look like some guy who should be my Adviser at most. I would have been happier if it was some Famed hero, like a Charr or Norn, rather than an unknown Sylvari, which leads me to my next point.
I really expected Destiny’s Edge to be a major part of my story, but they were not, unfortunately, I was looking forward to working with them ( Apart from dungeons) I was really disappointed when I couldn’t.
I would have been GLAD to have seen them lead the pact and me as commander, just not Trahearne. to most of the races, hes just a random guy who receives way too much attention. But the Destiny’s edge members, we know about.
I agree, in any game, the players wouldn’t be king or leaders and stuff and I’m okay with that, just not Trahearne, please! his lines are bland, self centered and boring.
At one point, he even says " It is clear that you are the primary target, but the attack is OBVIOUSLY meant for me. (Roughly).
Seriously? And then this woman calls me Trahearne’s right hand man, and another says that the chances of us killing the dragon are WAY too low, but we might be able to do it with Trahearne’s help!!
This is supposed to be my story, sure Marshal is a hard job and all, but it doesn’t mean Trahearne has to be so condescending and important, heck, it doesn’t mean it has to be Trahearne!!
The personal story in this game had a LOT of potential, but it steadily declined from level 50.. I would HATE to play second fiddle to Trahearne AGAIN if I wanted to create a new character… This is really a mood breaker for me
