Hello All, VEX is a WvW guild currently seeking players on SBI or players that want to transfer. We’ve recently went through a leadership overhaul and are ready to get back into WvW to compete. I’m not going to blow smoke up your * and tell you about the rainbows and unicorns I can offer you. We run small organized groups that take objectives while the Zerg is running the map. We care about PPT and we are always trying to assist the server in WvW anyway we can. That rubbed some commanders on the server the wrong way but they know where they can stick their sword.
What I can offer you though is small group of core people that are looking to take the guild to the next level.

- A Large member filled Guild. Like I said before…we are small but are looking to grow.

Here is the build I came up with. This will mostly be used for havoc & small organized fights. 5-10 man group. Not sure how this looks but I wanted to run full celestial but cannot find any on the AH and heard it was hard to get ahold of. Running Exotic only and probably will never upgrade to Ascended.

Hello all….VEX is currently recruiting members to be part of our Havoc style squad we run in WvW. You’ve probably seen us at some point doing at least something on the map(ninja towers, taking camps and fighting small group fights). We excel at Havoc style gameplay.
What we can provide you is a friendly knowledgeable group of people that are willing to help you get your WvW legs under you or teach you any strategies we might employ on the battlefield. We can assist with builds and advice on the character you want to play. We aren’t going to make you run a certain build just to run with the group. We want to have fun and make sure you have fun running with us.
We have our own TS w/ music bots. We usually run M-F 7 pm to 12 am est. Weekends are varied depending upon the amount of people are on that want to run.

My thief is almost 80 and I’m looking for some information from some experienced players with this class. I want to run either S/D or D/D and am looking for build advice. Any advice anyone can offer, would be of great help. Thanks in advance.
Created this build and was wanting some opinions from more experienced warrior’s on what I could change to make a better spvp build. I want to run Dual Axe since I’ve done Hambow, Greatsword & condi builds.
Right now I’m running GS & S/Shield with Berserker Gear. This build is a tanky using Greatsword & Mace/Shield. Please provide me with any input or suggestions on my build.
I’m new to endgame and am just looking for suggestions.
Good damage, good/decent HP, good toughness. This will keep you on your feet in WvW. Use superior sigil of hydromancy for GS cause you’ll most likely swap to it when in range. This sigil will help make them slow for your hilt bash + maul combo. Superior rune of speed is significantly cheaper than traveler runes. Superior runes of Speed do not provide a DPS boost but you’ll get swiftness and speed boost that frees up 1 utility slot so you don’t have to run Signet of the Hunt for 25% movement speed. Use Cavalier trinkets mixed with knights instead of berserker for a good precision/crit damage balance plus you get the added bonus of toughness. Use extra slot for a stun break (it’s get out of jail free card) because you’ll need it.
I made a change to your build and went 30/20/20. I also switched out lighting reflexes for protect me. With signet of stone and signet of the beastmaster, that gives me 12 seconds of taking no damage. Any thoughts?
So went through some of the information I’ve gathered from the forums and updated my build. I found that I cannot afford the traveler runes. They are way to much money running at 10g a pop. I revamped some of the armor selection and through in Ranger runes. Any thoughts on his build?
This is great information. I haven’t actually started running around in WvW yet. My buddy mentioned buying food. I’m was worried about being to squishy going straight berserker. That’s why I threw some toughness in there. I will factor in what Dancin & Noobie have said when considering the build.
Well I want to keep the GS/LB spec, since that is the type of ranger I like. I know I’m not going to be a world beater but I want to at least be able to hold my own a little. I might check out a secondary build into what you play and try it, once I get some more gold.
I like it, very similar to what I run now except I go full berserker. Its good to start with a mix of soldiers and knights like you have though as it helps you stay on your feet a little longer till you get the hang of wvw and can then swap stuff out as you see fit.
Only suggestion is that you have another weapon set you use to stack either precision or power to give you more oomph. Would probably go with precision as your crit chance is a little low. With 25 stacks and fury you should have ~80% crit with that build which is strong.
Would you be able to link your build? I’d like to check it out, just to see what you have. The thing that’s getting me a little bit is the runes. So many choices.
Posted a Topic earlier trying to get some advice on different builds and what to look for. I’m running Greatsword/Long Bow. I’m going to be doing mostly WvW roaming with an engineer and probably a little zerging, till I get competent enough to try rolling solo. If you could look at my build and provide me with any insight or changes you might make to better it.

PvP (structured)
Don’t run zerker ranger in structured pvp, zerker stats are lacking the crit damage of PvE so as the gear is separate I recommend a condition build here, with toughness/healingpower/condidamage.
The WvW spec is ideal for group and solo play. You have awesome range and aoe movement denying skills for stop the enemy zerg while grouped, and while solo roaming (what is use it for mostly) you are able to beat any class 1 v 1 and in the worst case scenario will draw and run away. This spec’s mobility makes it nie uncatchable once you decide to run due to your 25% movespeed, 9sec CD lead, and stealth, knock back, aoe immobilise, and aoe chill on weapon swap.
(I put the ascended trinkets into the build because they’re not actually that hard to obtain and in some cases easier to get than exotic)

Wow, was unaware of all the different ways you have to account for to build your character. I’m going to be running with engineer buddy of mine, who’s going to show me the ropes, so mostly duoing & maybe some roaming once I learn my class. I might do some zerging though and poke at people with my bow.
Just about to get my first 80 and need some assistance with armor, runes and accessories for the build. I’m new to all the new things that open up when your 80, so any assistance would be appreciated.
