Unfortunately, I just got home and had this massive update. Moving at a snails pace…bah.

ETA: anyone downloading this patch ever get in the game? I’m still at about 50%

Happening to me as well…started a week or so ago.

Basically I find the progression is loading screens for waypoints start taking longer than they should, then characters armor models start defaulting, then my weapons disappear, then my character disappears and I get a gw2 crash box not long after.

This is rather annoying, especially during T1 where the queue times are sometimes long.

Seems strange we’re getting replies about scribing but a major tech issue is getting seemingly ignored. It’s been 4+ hours now with no official response to the many threads about the same issue. /shrug.

Thanks for the update Tanith. Haven’t checked Reddit lately. Hopefully the next build will be released soon.

Hmmm, seems to may be a Vista thing? I’m running the 32bit client on Vista 64 as well.

I tried renaming the files as suggested, with no luck.

I also tried moving the files to a temporary folder, and downloading the gw2setup.exe and running it. Again, no luck. The same unable to verify error message pops up.
I’ve tried resetting my network, restarting my computer, clearing my temp folders etc. No luck.

I do hope they figure this out soon.

The rename didn’t work for me unfortunately.

Any clue on how long it will take for the refunded extra purchases?

EDIT: All of them are hitting my account at once…oh lord. Now how to I figure this out??

Update, I just received a gem purchase…I hope all three tries don’t go through!!!

Having issues purchasing gems after today’s patch. Anyone get a response on how to fix this?

I politely disagree. If character progression was such a focus, then there would be no tomes of knowledge.

I’m really happy with the 250 Hero Point number. It’s doable on alts with not too much grind involved. My only wish is that once you unlock an elite spec on one character, it would be unlocked on all of the same classes on your account.

For instance, I have an Asuran guardian that I have completely unlocked my Dragon Hunter spec on, but I would like to start playing my Charr guardian, I wish the points were automatically unlocked. I mainly play WvW and sometimes switch up the race of the class I’m playing…it would just make that easier.

It’s All Over But The Cryin’

Having a heckuva time in WvW this week against SBI and EB.

SBI has a big red bull’s eye on them this week. Yes.

Please stop the QQ, you thought you would walk all over us like you did before and it just didn’t swing that way. Grow from the experience and take the fact that you can’t steamroll your way past us this week on the chin.

There’s a LOT of great guilds on SBI I’ve run across this week. Whenever we see Abys Olaf, BÆST, RISE, we know we’re in for a fight.

Wouldnt it be cheaper to buy them on the TP for gold?

Not really, I had the gems. My in-game gold has been low since crafting my legendary and ascended weapon.

I’m a bit sad, dropped over 3k gems on the dye kits and ended up with 2 of the special dyes. Limonite and Cyanide. Ah well.

RNG is RNG, working as intended.

Thought it was just me this was happening to! Adding the my name to the list of “crashers”.

Crashing when opening achievement panel , however I DID receive my daily completion chest.

I use MF during Cursed Shore events. It’s the only way I make gold in game, so I maximize my chances. During dungeon runs, I switch to my named set as it has stats that maximize my damage. My belief is that while doing events, I’m essentially playing solo, but in a dungeon group, I need to perform to my best ability and that means min-maxing my stats.

Thought things would be settled with Wintersday patch by the time I got back for the evening…

This afternoon, I’ve experienced quite a bit of lag and several disconnects from the game. US – Yak’s Bend.

Started when I joined an Arah dungeon – Story Mode. First half was smooth sailing, but right before we hit the airship…unplayable. Skill lag, rubber-banding, and finally several disconnects.

Thinking it was just the character or the area, I logged out (completely restarted the game) and logged back into a low level alt. Same thing…was ok for the first few minutes then huge lag spikes…skill locks, rubber-banding and more disconnects.

I haven’t experienced any lag until today. I checked my settings, ports, firewall etc, and all is ok. Other games are working with no lag as well.
