[HMNG] Blackgate
Champion Legionnaire
My two-cents, PvP PoV:
First things first, the F1 and F2 overlap need some fixing. Able to watch the skill’s cooldown visually is crucial during fights. Overall specs of Berserker is not too shabby, I can see what Anet want the Berserker specialization to be. The primal bursts aren’t too bad as others make it out to be.
Other points to touch is the berserk mode having issues with how it is active and not. Personally, I would like it how you can activate the F2 and deactivate it, similar to Necromancer’s death shroud. By allowing us to have more control over when we activate berserker and when we want to deactivate will allow warriors to bring more to their gameplay.
For example, I want to use the sword regular burst vs primal burst. Both skills are nice, but used differently in its own situations. When I activate primal burst, I may destroy projectiles and burn at will, but then I want to immobilize with Flurry(after the primal burst cooldown is fine). To do so, there is that wait time while in berserk mode. I don’t mind the cooldown after berserk mode ends, however, being able to go into and out will be godsend.
Regards,
Thanks Dulfy, I’ll bet many people, including me, will appreciate this!
Don’t mind my guildie, he is feeling salty that day. Anyways good fight SF, been awhile since we fight some good roamers. Hope to see you roaming more often
If he is channeling and invul, my best bet is he is using his elite. If he is using shouts and recovering from CC, he is most likely running soldier runes. Fighting a guardian, especially a tanky one by the looks of it, personally, ya gotta prolong the fight. Usually be aggressive and time your attacks.
I might be the first to say, try guardians out.no hes using his 6 heal. block while healing, normally I telegraph after that he pops his elite and becomes invuln again.
It depends on what build and weapons you’re using against him.
In that kind situation, if you have CC weapons, i would’ve recommended using signet of might and interrupt him in his block. And can go for the kill.

Guardians? As a warrior, ya gotta really time it right with your attacks and approach. You gotta keep in mind that your first attack or anything that you throw at them first will always be blocked, thanks to their passive aegis. After you get rid of that, next comes your approach on taking him/her down.
When fighting a guardian, you have to really watch their movements/animation such as if they using heal skill to block. To really take down a class, you must understand the concept of them. As far as guardians go, they rely on their boons such as protection, blocks, invuls, etc. however, they have a small hp pool. Depending on their weapon choices, as far as guardian goes, their only far range weapon will be the scepter, so kiting them can be possible if you choose so. Watch their blocks, invuls, boons, etc. You may never know if they actually blowing all their utilities to take you down.
As far as knowing the class and what you are up against with, it really comes down to what build you are using versus whatever build he/she is using. According to your post, i assume it is WvW, so equipments does play a well factor in fights.
If there is anything I am missing or if there is anything you disagree with, please do add.
I don’t care about an Auto-Attack.. but give me the option to hold down the 1 button to fire off grenades everytime they are available at the targeted bit of ground.
There is actually, something similar. There is an option in the menu and check the box on the auto-cast ground target, iirc. Using the phone at the moment.
Instead of clicking, it auto-casts where your mouse is.
How are you using the skill? Depending on how you use the skill is what make is viable or not.
As stated by a previous user, it can be used as a whirl finisher with fire fields and such. This can also be great use of building adrenaline. It also a 360 melee attack as well. If ya plan on using this purely for dps, the axe auto attack can cover that, assuming you are using dual wield axe.
1. Balance
2. Viability
3. More build options
(Very broad? Yes thats what I am going for.)
I, personally, like the ground based aoe auto attack better on the grenade kit. Having it ground target gives a better feel and more accuracy dependent on you.
Comparing with speed of the grenade hitting the target, I personally find it feel like its as slow as the Guardian’s scepter auto attack. If you make the grenade kit’s auto attack just like that, the grenade kit will be unviable and dead just like the kit refinement.
Having the grenade kit’s auto attack and all the other 5 skills(including the tool belt) as a ground target aoe is fine as it is.
With what you stated, i ran a similar build in with what you stated long time ago before, it might not be viable to others in their eyes, but i find it quite good in its own way.
0/0/30/30/10 (can’t remember the exact traits, currently at work)
PVT armour set with full berserker trinkets.
Use superior rune of soldier and go heal shout build. Healing signet, elite can be SOR.
As for weapons, i use a shield with any main hand, i personally find axe viable because of dmg, and off-hand longbow.
From here, you will have a tanky dps(from the trinkets alone) build. The shouts in this build is mainly used as aoe condition removals then its aoe heal counterpart(heals are quite nice, don’t get me wrong) This is from a WvW perspective.
Signets, useless? No i believe not.
If the signets are used correctly, it can change the tide of the battle in your favor.
For example, the new signet of might may seem useless, but if you look at it this way, having your next few attacks being unblockable is not bad. Lets say your are fighting a guardian or engineer that is blocking, you can just bull charge ’em or some other cc skill or even go straight to bursting while activating signet of might. Even if you do not activate this signet, having 180 power is quite good enough on its own.
Another is signet of rage. This can arguably be one of the best elites around, and having signet cooldown decreased by 20%, that goes from 60 seconds to 48 seconds, this signet is not bad.
I can go on with each signets if used in each situation, but each signets has its purpose. Full blown signet build, on the other hand, is not bad, not saying its good either, but if you running full signet passively and not using them, then thats all on your playstyle.
Buffing signets? yes i agree, i believe some signets are lacking.
Removal of signets? No i disagree, there’s reasons why they are there.
If you are talking about the auto-target system,
just go to game menu, uncheck the autotarget box, fixed.
Ever heard of 300? I’m quite sure it is used for ‘kicks’ when kicking someone off a cliffside in WvW. Its as useless as engineers ram utility.
“Why is that thief using a rifle?”
With the weapon skin choices there are now, there is quite a variety, however, it would be great if there is more weapon skins in the near future.
Legit question. Imho, some classes are meant to have stealth while others don’t. For example, thief and mesmers have it such for mobility or deception, thus making use of stealth as means of survivability etc. Some classes, such as warriors, don’t have it, especially in pvp, because it’ll tip the balance of classes. If warrior does have such skill or access to stealth in some way, warrior would be quite OP. This regards pvp, however.

Made these cosmetics awhile ago, why not post it up.
