I get that ALOT both in SPvP and WvW, they seem to ignore that we get nerfed pretty much every 2 weeks, i think the last one where we got 2 minor buffs was the first time in ALONG time where an update didnt come out where we didnt get nerfed.
The last significant change to the Mesmer was on 6/25/2013 where we received torment on block on scepter skill 2 and we lost the 24/7 retaliation on our phantasms and it was changed to a 5 second retaliation (your phantasms shouldn’t be around much longer than 5 seconds anyways) and the +200% HP bonus on phantasms from signet of illusions was reduced to 50%, a more balanced boost.
Those were clearly balance issues and if you’re still playing Mesmer and complaining about being nerfed then you are still playing passively trying to summon phantasms that do all your work for you.
Your phantasms are not pets, they are damage sources meant only to come on the board to do damage and its no different from another classes direct damage skill. You just happen to be able to detonate your damage sources using the shatter.
With that being said, what part of Mesmer was nerfed recently?
10k damage is kinda ridiculous but that would require halting strike,iduelist ,and berserker as well as a Mind Wrack shatter all at once and the Mesmer would be completely defenseless afterwards unless they have a blink or decoy to get outta there
The phantasms don’t need to have their strength increased and I don’t think its fair for you to use a berserker geared 30/30///* Mesmer as an example to use when saying they do too much damage. Any class with those traits are going to do crazy damage.
I know for afact if theyre damaging u that much that it has to be 30/30///* because Mesmer is my main!
I do agree with you up until the portion regarding it being a first or second offense because it doesn’t actually violate the name portion of the code of conduct.
Taken from the name policy:

There isn’t any offensive racial or ethnic or religious name there. Thare are offensive slurs and words used to describe people of all sorts of backgrounds of life and nobody uses my name as one of them.
There isn’t any hate speech or bigoted terms.
No sexual reference.
Doesn’t reference violence (Head Crusher is a better example of a name that references violence) and Jihadist could be perceived as someone who commits jihad but is no more violent than if I named my character “assassin” or “death mercenary”.
I guess my name could reference illegal activity but then again see my above response, and keep in mind mine is named in a role playing aspect. I’m not there to troll someone with that character.
Doesn’t reference a real life person and it doesn’t reference a political figure or historical figure, my name doesn’t specify anyone in particular. I’m not named “President George Washington”.
It’s not an alternative spelling nor is it a trademarked name.
I was hoping it would not be a big deal to just call it a wash and I’d also oblige by changing the name and be able to play over my next couple of days off from work, but this is a bit of a downer. Well I guess that’s all I wanted to say.. Im just frustrated right now but thanks for listening and for helping. I guess it’s time for me to just give this game a break since they wont give me a break.

I have a new alternative character on my family account and I named the character Jihadist and I was not considering that it could be offensive when I made it and during gameplay today I was removed from the game and unable to log in. I saw the popup to review the code of conduct and I did.
I could see how it could be taken as related to a “religious figure” or perceived that way but its actually meant to mean (loosely translated) “internal struggle”. The name does not reference any religious idol or person. I think someone could be confusing that with Martyr if I am not mistaken and I have accrued quite a few hours under the new player without anyone indicating that it was offensive in fact I received compliments that it was clever or interesting.
Nonetheless, I would rather avoid any conflicts or issues with the GM’s and the community and I apologize for any I may have caused and I would really appreciate it if I could regain access to the account under your terms prior to the 3 day suspension?
